A man who only cares about his mission

A man who only cares about his mission

Knox was driving the miniature flying ship and gradually slowed down.

Anita was overjoyed, thinking there was a chance of escape. She immediately screamed for help at the top of her lungs, struggling desperately: "Help! Is there anyone who can save me?"

But the sound insulation of this aircraft is so good, and the glass cabin is confidential. If the windows are not opened, people outside cannot see what is going on inside at all.

Knox frowned and the car came to a complete stop. He took out a handkerchief from his pocket and stuffed it into Anrita's mouth without saying anything. Then he threatened her fiercely in her ear:

"If you're not afraid of death, keep shouting. If I'm caught and can't escape, I'll drag you down with me from this ten thousand meter height and smash you to pieces. Think twice!"

Anrita suddenly dared not make a sound and looked at Knox in horror.

In the past, she had always been with Begwei, Eugene and others. These people came from wealthy families in the empire, were well-educated, and had great respect for females.

But the man in front of him was rude and disrespectful, a complete desperado.

Anita also understood that there was nothing to communicate with the kidnappers. Facing Knox's gloomy eyes, she gave up the idea of testing him. After all, staying alive was the most important thing.

Anita had a handkerchief stuffed in her mouth and was pressed into the corner of the airship by Knox.

Knox was extremely strong and he held one hand firmly on her head, so she couldn't break free at all.

Soon, the patrol arrived and Knox handed over his ID card.

The patrolman took the card, glanced at him, and then said, "Open the hatch and windows, and let's check."

This miniature flying ship has a simple structure, with only a cockpit and no storage compartment. When you open the glass door, you can see what's inside at a glance.

Knox pretended to be calm and slowly opened the glass door.

The patrol walked along the track toward the ship.

At this moment, Knox suddenly felt a powerful mental fluctuation.

He subconsciously turned his head and saw Valua walking down from the aircraft not far away.

During this period, in order to find Anrita, Valua was assigned by Begway to the air patrol, responsible for guarding the key checkpoint of the interstellar orbit.

As long as Anita is still on the main planet, even if she is temporarily missing, Begway and the others will feel at ease; once she leaves the main planet, finding her in the vast universe will be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Knox's face suddenly changed. He quickly closed the hatch of the spaceship and pulled Anrita into his arms.

Before Anrita could react, she heard a "click" and the seat belt tied her and Knox tightly together.

Then, Knox activated the maximum power and drove the aircraft to slam into the interceptor bar in front.

The micro-flying ship roared out along the interstellar track like a red meteor, and instantly broke through the checkpoint of the air patrol guard.

Valua immediately noticed something was wrong and shouted, "Chase him! Don't let him get away!"

After saying that, he jumped onto the nearest military flying ship and led his troops to chase in the direction of Knox's escape.

Although the air patrol was not under Valua's jurisdiction, he could not care less for the sake of Anrita.

Knox drove the micro-flying ship all the way out of the main star and into interstellar orbit.

Seeing the mighty flying fleet catching up with him, he made up his mind and activated the self-destruct program.

Anita was stunned, but her mouth was blocked and she couldn't make any sound. She could only stare with her eyes wide open in horror.

After Knox activated the self-destruct program, he quickly opened the escape pod.

The cockpit of this miniature flying ship was already small, and the driver's seat was also an escape hatch. As he operated, a circular glass protective cover slowly rose from under the seat, covering the entire seat.

With a "click", the escape pod was ready.

The countdown begins: "10, 9, 8, 7..."

With a loud "bang", the micro-spaceship that had just entered the space orbit exploded instantly.

Valua's eyes instantly turned red, and he roared, "Anrita!"

He drove his spaceship desperately to catch up, but the miniature spaceship had been reduced to ashes in the explosion.

A simple escape pod flashed across the vast universe at nearly the speed of light and disappeared from everyone's sight.

The crew members on the flying ship reported helplessly: "Vice Admiral Valua, the suspect escaped in an escape pod."

Another team member said worriedly, "The escape pod on the micro-flying ship is too fragile. It might disintegrate in space before reaching other planets. I really hope Saint Anrita isn't inside, otherwise..."

Someone else sighed, "I heard there's a cosmic storm lately, they probably won't be able to get far."

Everyone could only pray silently that Anita was not in the escape pod, otherwise the situation would be too dangerous.

Valua's face was stern, and he said in a low voice: "Track the coordinates, keep chasing, don't give up!"

His intuition told him that Anita was on that spaceship, and this feeling made him panic.

After an unknown amount of time, Knox and Anrita drifted to a very backward primitive planet.

This planet seems to be completely disconnected from the Interstellar Alliance. Its technological level is extremely low, and aircraft are not popular. There is only one space station on the entire planet that can connect to the universe, but the ticket price to other planets is ridiculously high.

As soon as Knox landed, he tore off the human skin mask on his face, and his originally black hair turned back to green.

He was shirtless, and blood was seeping from the gauze wrapped around his arms. Those were the injuries he suffered on the day he kidnapped Anita, and the wounds had not healed yet.

He sat on a rock by the river, quietly looking at Anrita not far away.

Anita's hands had been untied, and the marks on her wrists were red and swollen, which was shocking.

She washed her hands carefully by the river, trying her best not to let the water touch the wound, but it still touched the wound accidentally. The pain made her frown and gasp softly.

She looked at her reflection in the water and felt very bad when she saw the strange face.

She raised her head, looked at Knox, and said, "Can you take this disguise off my face?"

The human skin mask she was wearing now had a featureless face, except for the pair of black eyes that belonged to her own. It was creepy to look at, and she even wondered if she had traveled through time again.

Knox said nothing, jumped down from the rock, and strode over to Anrita.

He glanced down at her, reached out and pressed lightly behind her ear, and Anrita felt the film covering her face disappear.

The human skin mask shrank into a thumb-sized ball and was put away by Knox.

Anrita looked at herself in the river and saw her familiar self. She breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, she did not travel through time and space. She was still herself.

She tied her thick long hair into a simple bun and squatted down to wash her face.

She is now only wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt and a skirt. The storage terminal is gone, the intelligent computer chip is damaged, and she has no way to change her clothes even if they are dirty.

Anrita didn't want to talk to Knox unless she had to.

Knox is also a dull person, who speaks even less than Valua. He is cold and hard. Anrita even suspects that he is a robot.

After washing her face and hands, Anita walked over to Knox, who was shirtless, his muscular body clearly defined. He was wearing only a pair of black pants, sitting motionless on the stone, like a statue.

Anita circled around him twice, looking him up and down.

Knox felt a little uncomfortable being stared at like this by a little female.

He frowned, grabbed Anita's collar, and pinned her down. He stared at her gloomily and asked coldly, "What do you want to do?"

Anita looked at him suspiciously and said, "I'm looking for the switch on your body. You look like a robot."

Knox was stunned for a moment and asked, "What switch?"

Anita crossed her arms and said, "It's the start switch on your body. Otherwise, why are you so strange, like a robot?"
