Cody, hold me tight.

Cody, hold me tight.

Cody had just entered and had not had time to observe carefully when he heard Anrita's anxious cry.

He was startled, fearing that Anrita was in danger outside, so he turned around and ran outside. Because of his violent movement, he smashed the door frame into pieces.

The door panel had been broken before, and now even the door frame is gone, and even a part of the wall has collapsed.

The spirit deer looked stunned as it watched Cody rush out from the dust, then raised its head and glanced at the precarious castle.

It seems that this building will not last long.

At this time, Anrita was lying on the ground on her side, with the spirit deer guarding her side.

Seeing this, Cody's face turned pale and his heart almost jumped out of his chest.

Cody: "Ann, what's wrong with you?"

He ran over in a hurry and was about to pick up Anrita, but was stopped by the spirit deer.

The spirit deer called to him nervously. Cody frowned and said, "Get out of the way."

Anrita originally thought that childbirth would be painless, after all, she was only two months pregnant.

But even if the fetus is still small, there is still pain from contractions.

Especially the first contraction, it was excruciating.

As a first-time mother, she was extremely nervous and frightened.

Everything happened too suddenly and she was not prepared.

Why is it that I’m going to give birth suddenly?

Could it be that I ate too many spiritual fruits a while ago?

She could sense that the fetus was indeed happy when eating the spiritual fruit, and seemed to have absorbed a lot of spiritual power.

She stretched out her hand to Cody and said weakly: "Cody, I seem to be...about to give birth..."

Hearing this, Cody's face turned pale.

Linglu no longer tried to stop her. He squatted down beside Anrita, scratching his head anxiously.

"An An, this...what should I do? What should I do? I don't understand any of this at all..."

It was over. Cody felt dizzy.

He is still like a child himself, how can he know how to deal with the issue of childbirth?

When Anita fell ill in the cave before, he was also at a loss, but he was not as panicked as he is now.

After all, compared with childbirth, illness and pain are nothing to mention.

"Cody, hold me tight."

Anrita reached out again.

Cody circled around her and asked nervously, "An An, will it hurt more if I hug you?"

She shook her head.

Probably not. At this moment, both she and the fetus in her belly need the comfort of a male.

Neither of them had any experience with this.

Before this, Anrita was only concerned with the care and raising of the mermaid cubs and the necessary supplies. She had never thought about delivering a baby herself, and naturally had never learned the relevant knowledge.

It seems that after she returns this time, she will have to put learning reproductive "techniques" on her agenda.

She has many male partners, and the Tree of Life is inexplicably close to her, so she always feels that she needs to have more children in the future.

Fortunately, she loves children, and the Begway family does have a title to inherit.

Cody is only twenty years old, and as a pampered prince, he has experienced more in the past few months than in the past twenty years.

After finally calming down, he carefully held Anrita in his arms and comforted her softly:

"Don't worry, An An. I'm here and I will make sure nothing happens to you or the babies."

Anita nodded and curled up in his arms to endure the pain.

The pain of contractions came one after another. When it eased a little, Cody observed for a moment and understood:

"An An, are you feeling better now? You and Ling Lu can rest here for a while. I'll go boil some hot water."

Her weakness should be "good".

Just as Cody was about to put her down, the deer suddenly stood up, took a few steps forward, and turned back to call out to him.

He frowned: "Don't make trouble, I have to boil some hot water for An An."

He had heard that newborns needed to be placed in warm water to prevent them from catching a cold. Although he didn't know whether this step was necessary for mermaid cubs, mermaids could not live without water after all, and Anita also needed to drink hot water to restore her strength.

Seeing that he ignored it, the spirit deer ran back unhappily and pushed his back with its head to try to lead the way.

Cody looked at Anita's pale face and said impatiently, "Okay, okay, I'll go with you to take a look, but we have to be quick. An An is suffering."

The spirit deer immediately led the way excitedly, but considering Anita's health, it stopped and waited after walking for a while.

Cody held her tightly in his arms, his sturdy chest steady and powerful, his rough arms tightly wrapped around her. From time to time, he kissed her forehead and whispered, "Don't panic, An'an, I'm here."

Anita closed her eyes and endured the pain, thinking to herself:

This must have frightened Cody. He was still young and less experienced than the other partners, but he was still reliable when faced with difficulties.

When the pain subsided a little, she said, "Cody, where is the spirit deer taking us?"

He followed the spirit deer around the castle, walked to the back, and whispered:

"I'm not sure yet, but it keeps pushing me forward... This spirit deer is very intelligent, maybe it's helping us..."

He stopped talking abruptly, his eyes widened, and he stared ahead in shock, muttering, "What... is that?"

After a pause, he unconsciously quickened his pace and followed the spirit deer into the garden behind the castle.

However, the sight was shocking.

The paths that were once paved with neat stone slabs and the exquisitely shaped pavilions are now occupied by overgrown weeds and climbing vines.

Looking around, the surroundings were filled with overgrown weeds and a desolate scene.

But what is amazing is that in the center of this deserted garden that is almost in ruins, there is a circular hot spring pool that is still as clean as before!

The clear pool water glows softly under the silvery moonlight, like a dazzling gem inlaid in the wilderness.

The stag moved lightly through the dense grass and came smoothly to the hot spring pool.

It stopped, turned around and chirped twice happily at Cody who was following closely behind, as if urging him to catch up.

Seeing this, Cody excitedly hugged Anita tightly in his arms and said happily: "An An, this is great! I didn't expect there would be a hot spring here!"

Having said that, he couldn't wait to stride towards the hot spring pool.

When I got closer, I found that the hot spring pool was not large, with a diameter of about three or four meters and a standard circle shape.

The edge of the pool is paved with black bricks, the bottom of the pool is covered with pebbles, and the spring is located in the center of the pool.

Cody stood by the pool and could clearly see bubbles bubbling out of the spring.

This is a hot spring with living water, and I don’t know how many years it has been here.

The castle is dilapidated and the garden is deserted, but it still remains.

Perhaps a hundred years ago, or even longer ago, there were people living here who would come here to bathe in the hot springs every day.

Cody looked at her in shock for a moment, then placed Anrita by the pool, letting her sit down with the deer in her arms, and said:

"An An, sit here for a while and hold on. I'm going to check the hot spring pool and clean up the dead leaves."

Anita nodded. She had never expected that there would be such a beautiful hot spring here.

Because it is living water, the water in the pool is clear and clean.

There are no trees in the garden or its surroundings, so there are no fallen leaves at the bottom of the pond. The colorful pebbles sparkle in the moonlight, which is very beautiful.

Cody went into the water first. The hot spring water was not deep, only up to his waist. If Anrita went into the water, the water would probably be up to her chest.

He first walked around the edge of the pool, cleaned the edges, and then picked out the water plants and sunken dry grass at the bottom of the pool and discarded them one by one.

Finally, he transformed into a black python, swam a few circles at the bottom of the water, and checked thoroughly. Seeing that the water was so clean that there was not even a small fish, he went ashore with peace of mind.

Cody said anxiously, "An An, I'll carry you down. Mermaid babies love water, and you should feel more comfortable giving birth in the water."

As he said that, he picked up Anrita and stepped into the hot spring pool carefully.
