Pretend to lose your bracelet
Anita stood alone in the middle of the room, the silence around her making her heart tighten.
Her fingertips trembled slightly uncontrollably. She slowly raised her hand and placed her fingertips on the door handle. She was extremely cautious with every movement, for fear of leaking any sound.
As the door was quietly pushed open, a ray of light seeped out from the crack.
Anita stuck her head out like a frightened cub, her eyes quickly scanning the surroundings, trying to take in the scene outside the door.
As soon as she stuck her head out, her eyes met the two tall male guards guarding the door.
The two men were dressed in black uniforms, their metal wristbands gleaming coldly in the dim light. They stood straight, holding laser particle cannons in their hands, their burly figures completely blocking the door to the private room.
The white mask on his face added a touch of mystery and solemnity, making it difficult to see his expression.
Anita was stunned for a moment, as if her brain had been paused.
Isn't she an honored female guest?
In theory, he should receive special treatment, so why are there guards guarding the door and no one notified him in advance?
Is this protection or supervision?
She was stunned for a moment, and the two well-trained guards turned around immediately upon seeing this.
One of them nodded slightly, his movements restrained, his voice low and gentle: "Sir, what are your instructions?"
Anita took a deep breath, suppressed the waves in her heart, and said calmly: "I want to go to the second floor to see my partner, is that okay?"
The two guards had known about Anrita's situation for a long time. After hearing the request, they looked at each other with a hint of hesitation in their eyes.
The captain only ordered them to guard this noble female, and did not forbid her from going out, nor did he mention that she was not allowed to see her partner.
After a brief deliberation, they nodded, and one of them responded, "We follow your orders. I'll take you there."
Anita immediately stepped out the door with a polite smile on her face: "You don't have to follow me, I want to go by myself."
The guards paused, their faces hesitant. "Sir, the captain has given us orders to protect you. We will be punished if we let you leave alone."
The tone revealed the fear of the captain's punishment.
But Anrita had made up her mind, and she knew that if she was followed, her plan would fail.
She rolled her eyes, her face showing worry:
"But my partner has a bad temper and is very possessive. If he sees you following me, he'll definitely get angry and hit me."
The two guards were a little surprised when they heard this.
In the interstellar age, females are like the rarest gems in the universe. According to alliance laws, females can have any number of male partners.
Now this female actually said that her partner was angry because she walked with the guard, which is really puzzling.
Anita seemed to see through their thoughts, and her smile was soothing and confident. "Please understand my family's situation and don't follow me. If your captain asks, I will explain."
The guard was still a little hesitant, not because he doubted Anrita.
She was slender and her mental strength was only D-level, so she posed no threat to them.
I'm just afraid of the captain's orders.
After all, the captain is a super high-level male with a mental strength that is rare in the world. He is usually indifferent to females, but today he specifically instructed them to protect her, so they have to act with caution.
Just as the guard hesitated, Anrita turned around and pretended to leave, saying as she walked:
"Wait here, I'll be back soon. I'm just going to the second floor to check on my partner. Don't worry, your captain knows my partner's temper and won't blame you."
She explained sincerely for a long time before leaving quickly.
After walking a few steps, she noticed out of the corner of her eye that the guards hadn't followed her. One of them even waved and shouted, "Master, please come back soon. If you need anything, press your bracelet to call."
The bracelet was given by the guards to Anita and Edmund when they entered Caster Island.
Because Caster Island is not connected to the interstellar network, all guests must hand in their intelligent computers and other equipment and can only use the island's communicators.
It was the black bracelet on her wrist.
This seemingly ordinary bracelet now seems like an invisible shackle.
Anita walked into the elevator and calmly pressed the button for the second floor to avoid the guard's suspicion.
The pale light illuminated her slightly nervous face. She looked at the bracelet and wondered: Does this bracelet have a monitoring function? Is there a super-high-level male watching and locating her in some corner?
Thinking of this, she calmly widened the bracelet strap.
The elevator door opened with a ding, and Anita pretended to accidentally bump into the door panel, and the bracelet, which was already widened, was thrown to the corner of the corridor.
Anita's eyes widened instantly, and she looked as if she had really lost something important. She pretended to be extremely anxious and paced back and forth quickly in the corridor.
Her steps were hurried and chaotic. She then lowered her head and stared at her empty wrist, crying out in surprise, "Ah, why is my bracelet gone?"
She pretended to be panicking and searched everywhere, muttering to herself, "What should I do now? Why is it gone?"
He turned back without leaving a trace, got into the elevator and returned to the sixth floor along the same route.
As soon as the elevator door opened, she walked straight into the depths of the corridor, her figure gradually disappearing in the dim light and shadow.
At the same time, on the other side, when Achilles walked out of Anrita's box, he exuded a terrifying aura.
He walked quickly and steadily, his soles making a dull sound as they rubbed against the ground, and walked straight to the private room on the second floor where Edmund was.
Edmund was sitting in the private room, listening attentively to Luca's talk about the spiritual fruit.
He frowned slightly, with a hint of confusion in his eyes.
He had long guessed in his heart that the person who presented the spiritual fruit to Caster Island must have a close connection with the Dark Forest.
The Dark Forest today is no longer as mysterious as it once was, and it is not uncommon to see tribesmen wandering in the forest.
What's more, he knew very well that there were super strong people hidden in the tribe, such as the super S-level leader Aqir whose beast form was a white tiger. His powerful strength was quite famous in the interstellar space.
Just as Edmund was racking his brains to get more information from Luca to verify his guess, a loud "bang" sounded like thunder.
The door of the private room was kicked open roughly for the second time. The huge impact force caused the door panel to hit the wall hard, making a dull echo.
Edmund and Luca looked up at the same time: Luca's face was pale with horror, his eyes wide as bells, full of fear.
Edmund's face was as gloomy as water, with vigilance and displeasure flashing in his eyes, and he stared at the door.
Archer kicked the door open for the second time with an unreadable expression on his face. He walked in slowly.
Every step he took seemed to carry an invisible pressure, making the air in the private room seem to freeze.
Edmund keenly noticed that the administrator's mental power was more chaotic than when he was in Anrita's box. That powerful and disordered power was like a surging wave that could swallow people up at any time.
Luca also clearly sensed the danger. He subconsciously lowered his voice, his voice trembling with nervousness:
"Officer, have you offended this administrator? His mental power is even more terrifying than before."
The tone was full of worry, afraid that Archer would hear it.
Edmund smiled bitterly in his heart, how come I don’t know when I offended him.
As my thoughts raced, could it be that Lauren had gotten into trouble here before?
Or maybe Lauren's behavior of abusing females was so bad that he was implicated and put on the blacklist of Caster Island, and now he is wanted as soon as he shows up?
Edmund's expression grew increasingly gloomy. He slowly stood up, his posture erect and his eyes determined.
He knew that this battle was inevitable, and immediately began to think about his countermeasures. His muscles instantly tensed up, ready for battle.
