Chapter 59 Granted to Live in the East Courtyard
Li Runrun was so scared that she fell to the ground. When she looked up, she saw Ye Yunchu had just made a feint and was now lazily changing his sitting position.
Li Ruanruan's heart was still pounding with fear.
The prince has been bad again. Li Runrun feels like he did it on purpose, but there is no evidence.
When she lowered her eyes, Ye Yunchu's mood became good again and he curled his lips.
The carriage stopped in front of the Marquis' Mansion. Li Runrun got off carefully and followed Ye Yunchu carefully.
She didn't want to follow the angry prince, but she hadn't got the golden medicine yet.
Fortunately, the road the prince was going seemed to be Qingfeng Bamboo Garden.
But Li Runrun was very scared, and it was not until she stepped on the bluestone slabs of the bamboo garden that she felt a little relieved.
Seeing Ye Yunchu coming, Li Bai hurried over to greet him.
The court physician also came over and saluted: "Your Highness, these two have serious flesh wounds, but they have been treated, and the dislocated hand has been fixed. Fortunately, there is no damage to the internal organs, so they are not serious. Just rest."
Ye Yunchu nodded when he heard this and took two bottles of wound medicine to the palace doctor: "Use this to change the medicine."
The court doctor hurriedly opened the lid and smelled it, knowing that it was valuable. He then went in to change the medicine for Li Da and Li Mu Tou.
Ye Yunchu could see that Li Ruanruan was very anxious, so he only said, "Your father and brother are recovering here, you can live in the East Courtyard."
Li Ruanruan was still a little confused when she heard this. It was only when Li Bai touched her that she finally reacted and knelt down hurriedly: "Thank you, my lord."
Ye Yunchu nodded, his attitude seemed indifferent, and turned around and left with his men.
Li Bai seemed very happy. In her opinion, Li Runrun should live in the East Courtyard and be closer to the prince. This way she would gain more favor and her position would be better in the future.
But Li Runrun didn’t actually think that much. She was only concerned about when her father and brother would wake up.
The court doctor changed the medicine.
Li went in softly, and found her father still unconscious. After all, he was old, and his body had been badly damaged by all the hard work over the years.
My younger brother had woken up and was lying there weakly, tucking the quilt for my father.
When she saw Li Ruanruan coming in, she called out in a hoarse voice, "Sister."
Li Runrun's tears suddenly fell. She went over and grabbed Li Mutou's hand. Seeing that his hand was also wrapped in gauze, she didn't dare to use force for fear that it would hurt him.
"What the hell is going on, Mu Tou? How could something like this happen out of nowhere? They say you and dad were eaten by wild wolves. I was really scared to death."
Li Mutou also started crying, and he raised his hand to wipe it with his gauze-wrapped hand.
Li Ruanruan quickly took out a handkerchief to wipe his tears: "Don't move around, take good care of your injuries."
Li Mutou leaned against the headboard and said to Li Ruanruan, "Sister, someone wants to kill me."
It turned out that when Li Mutou met the masked man in black that day, he drove away in his donkey cart, and the other party chased him from behind.
Li Mutou's carriage overturned on the edge of the cliff and he fell off the cliff, but he was lucky enough to fall into the bamboo forest and then into the water, and fainted by the stream.
It was Li Da who found him and was about to take him away on her back.
It was already dark when they encountered a group of refugees from Yunzhou. Starving, they beat Li Da up and stole his silver, but not satisfied, they tied him up and sold him to a broker for a few copper coins.
Even though Li Mutou kept emphasizing in the pawnshop that he was a servant of the Marquis' Mansion, no one paid any attention to him and he was even beaten several times.
Li Da fell into a coma due to high fever. Li Mu was extremely panicked. Just when his life was hanging by a thread, he was rescued by the prince.
Li Mutou said, "Sister, I didn't faint today. I saw you standing next to the prince. It was you who came up with this idea. It's great, sister, that I can still see you. It's really great."
Li Runrun was terrified after hearing this thrilling process.
If Li Mutou had not been so lucky, and if there were no pond and bamboo forest under the cliff, Li Mutou would have surely died after falling off the cliff.
Li Mutou saw that Li Ruanruan was crying so hard and felt sorry for them. He began to comfort her, "Don't cry, sister. Dad and I are fine. I've asked the doctor at the palace. He said we can get better. Just take care of it."
Li Mutou was about to stand up as he spoke: "This place is so grand! The prince actually let my father and I recuperate here without having to do anything. Sister, is this true? Otherwise, pinch me, or I'll die and have that sweet dream."
Li Ruanruan quickly covered his mouth: "What nonsense are you talking about? Pah, pah, pah."
"Hehehe, bah bah bah."
Li Mutou moved for a moment and then calmed down again, grinning but still saying optimistically, "Ouch, it hurts. It seems I'm not dreaming."
Li Mutou fell off a cliff and was injured. He endured the pain for such a long time and talked to Li Ruanruan for a while, but he couldn't even lift his eyelids.
Li Ruanruan said, "Have a good sleep. I'll take care of Daddy."
Li Mu fell asleep and said, "It's easy to sleep when you're full. The food here is so delicious. I'm so full. Sister, I'll take a nap first. Call me if you need anything."
Li Mutou fell asleep, and Li Runrun wiped her tears again.
I think Ye Shuang is closely related to what happened to Limutou. She usually stays in the Marquis' Mansion and never goes out. She has never offended anyone, let alone Limutou.
Except for Ye Shuang, who was punished by the prince and sent to the farm for sending a beauty to the prince.
It was clearly her own doing, but Ye Shuang's words and deeds showed that she was resentful of her as a concubine, thinking that she was the one behind the trouble.
Given Ye Shuang's temper, it would be easy for him to spend money to buy the life of a lowly slave.
Li Ruanruan clenched her handkerchief tightly, she was determined to remember this grudge.
If I have the chance in the future, I will make Ye Shuang repay me!
Li Ruanruan took care of her until it was dark. Li Bai came to remind her and wrote lightly on her palm: "It's time to go to the East Courtyard."
Even though Li Runrun was reluctant, the prince had given the order and she could not afford to offend him.
So Li Runrun stood up and whispered a few words into Li Bai's ear, and Li Bai nodded in understanding.
Li Ruanruan went out and told the two servants who were assigned to take care of her: "Thank you for your help. Please take good care of her. I will definitely say a few good words for you when the prince visits me in the future."
The servants immediately smiled and said, "Don't worry, your father is our father, and your brother is our brother. Of course, we will take good care of him."
Li Ruanruan gave each of them a string of copper coins.
The servant smiled happily.
Li Runrun gave Li Bai a look. If she played the good guy, Li Bai would have to play the bad guy.
These servants must be treated with both kindness and severity, otherwise none of them will be easy to manage.
Li Bai walked over and glared at the two servants with a threatening look in his eyes. He pointed inside, bowed as if reporting, and then scratched his neck with his hand as if it were a knife.
He meant that he couldn't take good care of the people inside, so he reported back to the prince and asked him to deal with the two of them.
The two of them hurriedly put on a smile and said, "Please rest assured, sister. We are doing this with all our heart."
Li Runrun had already walked far away and called out "Li Bai".
Li Bai made an eye-digging gesture again and glared at them fiercely a few more times. It seemed that he left because Li Runrun shouted.
