Chapter 329 Getting Married

Wedding day.

At 4:30 in the morning, Zhou Sese was woken up by Feng Yingying, "It's already late and you're still sleeping. Hurry up and get dressed."

Zhou Sese went to bed late last night and was still drowsy. When she heard the sound, she pulled up the quilt and covered her head.

Feng Yingying looked at the old lady helplessly.

The old lady stood there, neither laughing nor angry, "Zhou Sese, today is your own wedding. If you delay, you will cry. Get up quickly."

The old lady pulled back the quilt.

Zhou Sese then sat up, rubbing her eyes. Her hair looked like a hornet's nest. "I'm so sleepy."

The old lady patted her shoulder and said, "You usually don't feel sleepy when you go out to make money before dawn, but you feel sleepy today? Hurry up and wash your face first. I'll comb your hair for you."

Zhou Sese got out of bed stiffly and walked out the door step by step like a robot.

After washing my face, I came back and was pressed on a stool by the old lady. "Wait a minute, I'll give you a gift."

The old lady suddenly took out a bracelet from her pocket and put it on Zhou Sese's right hand without saying anything.

Zhou Sese felt something cool on her wrist and took a quick look. It turned out to be a jade bracelet.

The color is lustrous and the water head is very good.

She subconsciously refused, but the old lady held her hand and said, "I never take back the gifts I give away. Please keep them for me."

Zhou Sese hugged the old lady and said, "Thank you, Aunt Zhang."

The old lady rubbed her head and asked, "Don't call me Auntie anymore?"

Zhou Sese shook her head. "Aunt Zhang sounds better, Aunt Zhang, Aunt Zhang, Aunt Zhang."

Aunt Zhang stood behind Zhou Sese with a comb in her hand. "There's nothing much to tell you. You're not a newlywed couple in the traditional sense, but... let me say one more thing. Marriage is a matter between two people. No matter when, it's best to discuss it."

Zhou Sese nodded obediently.

At this time.

Sheng Yingying, He Dahahua, Gao Yang, Liu Hongyan, Liang Qiuguo, Shunzi's wife and Gao Yang's mother were all here.

Mother Gao looked at Aunt Zhang and smiled. "I'm relieved to have you here. Yangyang was worried that there wouldn't be an elder here, so he called me over to check and fill in the gaps."

He Dahua leaned over and said, "Sister Zhaodi didn't come today. She came to my house last night and asked me to tell you that she won't be coming today."

Zhou Sese raised her eyebrows.

He Dahua said, "She feels that being a widow is unlucky, and she's afraid of ruining your auspicious day."

Zhou Sese sighed. "Sister Yang has been helping at home these past two days. How could she not come today? Please go and ask her for me. Tell her that I must ask her to come. Tell her that I have no experience and ask her to come and teach me some experience."

She didn't believe any of that.

There were more taboos in marriage in ancient times, but no woman lived too well.

If you always rely on external conditions to determine whether your life is good or bad, then you will definitely not have a good life.

He Dahua sighed, "I'll go now."

"Sister Zhang, you do your hair very well." Mother Gao looked at Zhou Sese's long hair with admiration. It was turned into a beautiful bun in Aunt Zhang's hands.

Aunt Zhang turned her head and said, "When Gao Yang gets married, I will teach you how to arrange it."

Mother Gao laughed along.

Gao Yang poked his head in from outside and said, "My mom said that if my brother doesn't get married, I can't get married either. My brother is so worried now, hahaha."

Mother Gao explained sheepishly, "I'm not that pedantic. I just said that on purpose to urge my good-for-nothing eldest son. He's almost thirty and still doesn't even have a partner. I'm using his sister's story to urge him, and now he's vaguely interested."

Aunt Zhang agreed, "That's right. Otherwise, they'd always find all sorts of excuses for you. Young people today are different from our time. Back then, blind marriages and mute marriages didn't matter. Many brides only saw their grooms for the first time on their wedding night."

Mother Gao nodded repeatedly, as if she had found a kindred spirit. "Yes, my eldest son has also been on quite a few blind dates, but when he goes on those dates, he can't even say a word. The girls even think he's dumb. Tsk tsk tsk tsk."

Zhou Sese looked at herself in the mirror and said, "Auntie, maybe it's not fate yet."

On this matter, the open-minded Gao Mama was still a bit feudal. "Fate is an illusory thing. If there is no fate before the age of 40, wouldn't you be a bachelor? The fate between husband and wife needs to be cultivated."

After a pause, Mother Gao sighed, "So today we're getting married from the military district, going around and then back to the military district?"

Zhou Sese nodded.

Mother Gao walked to the bedside and gently smoothed out the wrinkles. "A few days ago, I asked Yangyang to come over and tell you that you could just get married at my house. Yangyang said you guys had already discussed it, so I gave up."

Zhou Sese smiled and said, "Thank you, Auntie, for thinking of me. No need to bother. Anyway, people who don't know think that we are just making up for the wedding. It doesn't matter where we get married."

I have to say, Aunt Zhang is quite capable.

Looking at herself in the mirror with her hair completely tied up and looking a little neater, Zhou Sese gave a thumbs up.

Aunt Zhang smiled and said to her, "Let me put on your makeup."

In the open space outside the door, the squad leader of the kitchen squad set up a stove with his team. It had been a while since good things happened in their military region, and they had just happened to encounter such a wedding after the Chinese New Year, and it was Battalion Commander Sheng's. Everyone expressed their willingness to come and help.

These kids were running back and forth like stars, and I don’t know how they had so much energy.
