Chapter 100 Truth After Drinking

The family finally managed to bring Han Yu'an and Han Daping home, but since they hadn't found a place to stay yet, they had to return to the Prince's Mansion first.

On the way back, they ran into Fu Yunying. Seeing Han Yu'an drunk, she couldn't help but tease him, "You're such a quiet person, yet you can drink. But your alcohol tolerance is really worrying."

Han Yu'an looked at her with hazy eyes, and for a moment he felt that Cui Yulu was standing in front of him.

"Are you the rain and dew?"

"Tsk tsk, you were the one who drove her away, why are you still hung up on her now? Trying to make yourself look sentimental?"

Hearing Fu Yunying's words, Han Yu'an couldn't help but frown: "You're not Yu Lu, your voice doesn't sound like her. Are you that annoying Fu Yunying?"

"Hey, you brat, you dare to insult me? You've got a death wish."

Fu Yunying rolled up her sleeves, ready to hit Han Yu'an, but Liu Meie stopped her.

"Your Highness, this child has had too much to drink. Please forgive his rudeness and let him go home to rest. I will have him apologize to you when he sobers up, how about that?"

Actually, Fu Yunying wasn't really angry; she was just a little annoyed to see Han Yu'an looking so dejected.

He was the one who drove them away, yet he's acting like he's seriously injured—who is he trying to fool?

He's not manly at all; all my previous goodwill towards him has vanished.

At that moment, Fu Xiaoyu was taking a walk in the courtyard with Cui Yulu when she saw them return. She was also surprised to see Han Yu'an drunk.

Seeing his discomfort, Cui Yulu couldn't help but step forward and ask, "Aunt, what's wrong? Brother Yu'an has never drunk alcohol before. Why did he drink so much this time? It's very bad for his health."

Cui Yulu couldn't help but care about him.

"You're such a person. He doesn't want you anymore, why are you still concerned about him? He deserves to be drunk, he's probably regretting it now."

Fu Yunying looked at Cui Yulu with her beautiful almond-shaped eyes. Although she was reluctant to call her "Grandmaster," she felt that Cui Yulu was a good person after spending the past few days with her. She even felt a little sorry for her, especially after learning that the villagers had almost burned her to death and that she was still willing to give the prescription to the villagers. For this reason alone, Fu Yunying was willing to befriend her.

"What nonsense are you spouting, you little brat?"

Fu Xiaoyu spoke sternly to Fu Yunying.

"I'm telling the truth. Han Yu'an definitely regrets it. But if it were me, I wouldn't forgive him either. He didn't even trust Yu Lu, so what's there to regret now?"

"Shut up! Don't talk nonsense. You have no manners at all. Go back to your room and reflect on your actions."

Fu Yunying stomped her foot angrily, turned around and went back to her own courtyard.

“Yulu, it’s not that we don’t want to stop him, it’s just that we really can’t stop him, there’s nothing we can do. Why don’t you help take care of him? My uncle is still vomiting.”

She said it on purpose. These two people definitely still have feelings for each other, but they just lack communication. Now is a good opportunity.

Fu Xiaoyu frowned and quickly took Han Yu'an from Cui Yulu, saying, "Let me help you."

"How could I trouble Your Highness? Let Yulu take care of you. You have so many things to deal with every day, so I won't bother you."

Liu Meie was determined to bring Han Yu'an and Cui Yulu together, so she helped Han Yu'an avoid Fu Xiaoyu's outstretched hand.

Seeing this, Lin Yun quickly rushed over first.

"Leave it to me. I'll help Young Master Han into the house. That way, it won't be troublesome for Miss Yulu."

So Lin Yun took Han Yu'an and dragged him into the house, placing him on the bed.

"I'll go check on him. There are guests waiting for you. You should go and take care of things over there first."

Fu Xiaoyu looked at Cui Yulu and saw an inscrutable emotion surging in her eyes, but in the end she nodded in agreement.

"Then let Lin Yun wait here. Just call him if you need anything."

Lin Yun naturally understood her master's meaning, and quickly stood aside, more like monitoring than serving.

After giving Lin Yun a knowing look, Fu Xiaoyu disappeared into the backyard and went to the front yard to meet Vice General Cui Tianqi.

Seeing that Fu Xiaoyu had walked away, Liu Meie pulled Lin Yun into the house for tea.

"I have a mission to complete and cannot drink tea."

"You're such a simple-minded child. Why are you standing guard outside in this cold weather? If something happens, they'll call you."

Lin Yun was dragged into the house by Liu Meie. As soon as he entered, the door was closed, and Han Chunying quickly served him tea.

"Look, this place isn't far from that house, and it's warm. We can hear any noises coming from here, isn't that great?"

Lin Yun felt a little embarrassed by her stare, so she picked up her teacup and drank some tea.

"How old is the young master of the Lin family this year? Is he married?"

Lin Yun choked on her tea.

A significant amount of tea was spilled from his hand.

"Mother, what are you doing? Why are you asking these questions?"

Han Chunying blushed and glared at Liu Meie before quickly getting up to find a handkerchief and handing it to Lin Yun to wipe her hands.

Liu Meie glared at her own maid. What a brainless girl! Lin Fusheng was a perfect example. She trusted him without knowing anything. How could she not be deceived?

On this side, Han Yu'an kept talking in his sleep, calling out "Yu Lu" repeatedly.

As Cui Yulu listened to his words, tears welled up in her eyes.

"If you can't let me go, why did you divorce me? Don't you believe me? You believe what they say. I'm not a witch. I am different from others, but I have never hurt anyone. All I want is a warm home and someone who loves me. I only felt these things after I came to your family. I didn't want Grandma to die either."

As Cui Yulu spoke, she became increasingly heartbroken, and tears streamed down her face, landing on the back of Han Yu'an's hand.

His murmurs in his sleep had quieted down considerably, as if he were listening to her.

Cui Yulu brought him warm water to wipe his face, and then mixed honey with spiritual spring water and poured it down his throat to make him feel more comfortable.

"Why do you try to drink if you can't drink? Don't you know your own alcohol tolerance? If Grandma finds out you're ruining your health like this, she'll be heartbroken, and so will I."

"Yulu, I'm sorry, I regret it, but what could I do? When I saw you tied to that frame by those people, I was completely helpless. I felt so powerless then. I tried to protect you, but I couldn't..."

Seeing her furrowed brows, Cui Yulu felt both annoyed and heartbroken: "Didn't I tell you, I'll protect you? You just need to focus on your studies. I'll take care of earning money to support the family. Besides, I'm perfectly fine now, so why are you blaming yourself like this?"

She stroked his brow with her hand, trying to smooth out his furrowed brow.

But he grabbed her hand: "Yulu, I regret it, don't leave me."

He pulled Cui Yulu, who was losing her footing, into his arms.

He rolled over, and the little one was completely pinned beneath him.

Cui Yulu looked at Han Yu'an's handsome face and gently patted his back with her small hand, just like when they first met.
