Just as Tuoba Xuanyi's enormous hand was about to slap Abu on the head, a soybean suddenly hit his arm, causing him to lose consciousness instantly.
He hadn't expected Cui Yulu to have such a trick up her sleeve, so he released Abu from his grasp, looked down at Cui Yulu on the ground, and his eyes grew increasingly murderous.
"You still dare to attack me with hidden weapons? I think you really want to die. I was going to spare your worthless lives, but I don't think I need to now."
As he spoke, he flicked his finger, and suddenly a sharp arrow flew out, heading straight for Cui Yulu's face.
It was too late for Cui Yulu to dodge at this point, so she could only shield Abu with her body.
Suddenly I felt a weight on my body, as if someone had landed on me to protect me.
She looked up and discovered that the person was actually Han Yu'an.
"Thank goodness I arrived in time; you weren't hurt."
Cui Yulu reached out and hugged him, only to discover that the arrow was in his back. Cui Yulu was terrified and called out his name.
"Yu'an, don't scare me, wake up."
"Sister, brother has an arrow in his body, what should we do?"
Abu saw the arrows behind him, his clothes were stained with blood, and his hands hung limply at his sides.
"Who are you, and why are you trying to kill me?"
Cui Yulu looked at him coldly, knowing in her heart that even without today's events, Tuoba Xuanyi would have found an opportunity to kill her.
"Hmph, why should I kill you? You'll have to ask Tuoba Xuan. You saved Tuoba Xuan back then, and now you've saved him again. So you must die."
Tuoba Xuanyi was nearly driven mad; his face was almost contorted in pain.
"You and Tuoba Xuan are at odds. You're jealous that he's stronger than you, so all of this was your doing, right?"
"Hmph, you're going to die anyway, so telling you won't hurt. I hate Tuoba Xuan. Why should he always have the upper hand, while I have to stand behind him? I'm clearly more capable, yet I have to always be behind him?"
Tuoba Xuanyi stared at her with eyes wide open, like a mad lion.
"Then you didn't have to kill him?"
“He must die. He actually wanted to help you. I don’t want that. I want us barbarians to unify the Central Plains. I want to become king.”
Cui Yulu finally understood what he meant. It turned out that he and Tuoba Xuan had different political views, and that Tuoba Xuan had greater ambitions and wanted to unify the Central Plains.
But Tuoba Xuan refused.
"Do you want to know the difference between you and Tuoba Xuan?"
Cui Yulu's cold eyes looked at him, like a knife cutting into him.
This deeply provoked him, and he reached out and pinched her chin: "You self-righteous woman, let me tell you, Tuoba Xuan may spoil you, but I won't. I'm not some man who pities women; I can kill."
He used tremendous force, as if he wanted to crush her bones, causing Cui Yulu so much pain that she couldn't even speak.
She could only watch him coldly.
"Do you think I can kill you by staring at you? No way, then go ahead and stare at me all you want."
Tuoba Xuanyi pushed her away, causing her to fall to the ground. Han Yu'an, who was in his arms, also fell to the ground, bumping into the sharp arrows embedded in his body, which made him wince in pain.
"You dare hit my sister? I challenge you to a duel, a duel between men."
Although Abu was taller and stronger than the average child, he still looked incredibly small next to Tuoba Xuanyi, barely reaching his waist.
"Haha, little sprout, you really want to duel with me? Are you even qualified for a duel between men?"
Tuoba Xuanyi looked at the little boy in front of him with disdain, sensing from him a unique feeling that belonged to a foreigner.
"Hmph, even if I can't beat you, I'll still fight. A real man doesn't give up. I said I would protect my sister, and I have to keep my word. Otherwise, I can't be called a real man."
Abu looked at him with unwavering eyes, showing no fear whatsoever.
This surprised Tuoba Xuanyi; it was just like the warriors of the foreign lands.
"What, you're scared? It's not too late. Apologize to my sister and maybe I can forgive you."
As a result, Tuoba Xuanyi grabbed him by the back of the neck and lifted him up.
Abu was gripped by fate, his calves kicking and thrashing against Tuoba Xuanyi.
"What kind of skill is it to attack someone from behind? If you're so capable, put me down and let's have a fair fight."
"Letting you go isn't out of the question, but you have to tell me what's inside this cave."
Tuoba Xuanyi suddenly remembered the conversation he had overheard between Cui Yulu and Tuoba Xuan: there was food in the cave, could it be here?
"What could be in a cave? There are big monsters inside that eat people."
Abu tried to scare him with words meant for children, thinking he would believe it and be afraid.
Cui Yulu finished bandaging Han Yu'an's wounds and put him aside, only then realizing that Roubao had disappeared.
But there was no time to think about that now. After putting Han Yu'an down, he rushed over to save Abu.
"Put her down, and I'll agree to your conditions, just don't hurt her."
Abu's clothes were pulled up, revealing a small section of his snow-white skin, with some totem tattoos faintly visible. Fortunately, Cui Yulu noticed it early and pulled Abu's clothes down again.
"Are you going to let Abu go or not? Don't you want to know the secret of the cave? If you let Abu go, I can take you in. There's something you want inside."
"You really aren't lying to me?"
"You can kill me anytime, so why would you be afraid I'll lie to you?"
Cui Yulu looked at him disdainfully, not believing he wouldn't be moved.
