Chapter 3: Falls Ill Upon Entering the Door

"Good, good. With you saying that, he'll definitely wake up tomorrow."

Liu Xiuying was happy. After watching her finish the porridge, she personally escorted her into the new house.

The house was simply furnished, with new bedding on the kang (a heated brick bed) and a young man lying on the head of the kang.

Her facial features were exceptionally well-defined and beautiful, her complexion was rosy, and her breathing was even; she didn't look sick at all.

"Go and rest."

As they were talking, Liu Xiuying left the room; girls are bound to be shy.

Cui Yulu's mind became increasingly muddled. She took off her shoes, climbed onto the kang (a heated brick bed), and lay down without even taking off her clothes, falling into a deep sleep.

As she spoke, another golden light struck her body, and she felt herself surrounded by a warm current, making her body feel increasingly light.

Cui Yulu found it unbelievable and stared at it with wide, curious eyes.

It opened and closed its mouth, and a long string of bubbles came out. My goodness, the fish could talk!

"To thank you, I will place a wisp of your original spirit into your ancestral ring, so that good fortune will accompany you every day."

Cui Yulu felt the ring on her neck was slightly warm and glowing before returning to normal.

After doing all that, the koi flicked its tail, throwing her out of the water and onto the ground, where she felt a sharp pain.

Every joint of her bones ached terribly, and her head throbbed violently, as if countless insects were burrowing inside. She let out a painful groan and fainted.
