Chapter 4 Who's Marrying for Good Luck?

Liu Xiuying glared at her again.

"You're blind. Didn't you see her chest rising and falling? This girl fell into the water yesterday and probably caught a cold."

It's already late autumn, and it's common to get a fever if you fall into the water and don't change your clothes in time.

"Oh no, what if she gets brain damage from the fever too? Are we going to have to support two idiots?"

Liu Xiuying felt a pang of heartache. How could she have ever fallen for this eldest daughter-in-law? She could tolerate her sharp tongue, but it was a problem if she wasn't quick-witted.

"Shut up, you're not that easy to fool. Bring me a basin of water."

Liu Meie craned her neck to look at Cui Yulu. Although she was a bit thin, she had a good foundation. Her skin was fair and radiant. Her body, at fourteen years old, had not yet fully developed. If it had, she would have been a beauty.

It's a real shame to follow this idiot; it would be better to give him to Han Bao.

Anyway, this idiot doesn't understand matters between men and women. Han Bao and the others can take care of him in the future. Why does he need a wife?

"What are you waiting for? Go on!"

Han Yu'an had just woken up and was still very weak. He had spent a long time looking at Cui Yulu and now felt extremely tired.

So he lay down next to her again.

"Hey, you idiot, don't get so close."

Seeing that she hadn't left yet, Liu Xiuying smacked her with the sole of her shoe.

Liu Meie quickly lowered the curtain and went out, intending to wait a couple of days until things calmed down before talking to the old lady about giving the girl to Han Bao.

Anyway, since they're being kept at home now, it saves Han Bao a lot of money.

The more Liu Meie thought about it, the more energetic she felt, so she quickly fetched a basin of water and brought it to her.

He even diligently washed her.

"Mother, look how pretty this girl is. She's a good match for Han Bao. Why don't we give her to Han Bao?"

Liu Xiuying knew she was up to no good.

He kicked her to the ground.

"Oh, my aunt got beaten up."

Han Yu'an clapped his hands happily as he watched her get hit.

"What do you know, you little fool? You deserve to be a fool."
