Chapter 74 White Wolf Battles the Giant Worm

Sure enough, you can't go into these mountains. The mountain god really will punish you. Isn't this karma in this life?

Han Daping's legs trembled as he looked at the tiger. He had only ever heard stories about tigers in his life, and he never expected to encounter a live one. It was truly an eye-opener.

"Dad, what are you thinking about? What should we do now? Should we keep going up, or hurry down?"

It was impossible to estimate further; the tiger had clearly seen them, and what was even more terrifying was that it had already made them its food.

"Is it possible that the tiger actually wanted the little white wolf?"

Han Bao watched as the tiger stared intently at the white wolf in Cui Yulu's arms. He guessed that the wolf was its prey and it certainly didn't want to be taken away by them.

Cui Yulu glanced at the little white wolf in her arms, who was looking at the tiger with eyes full of fear, looking helpless, weak, and pitiful.

"Goodness, I won't trust it with the trust you've given it."

However, the tiger wouldn't wait for them. Han Daping grabbed Cui Yulu and pulled her behind him, then picked up his homemade spear and aimed it at the tiger.

The tiger roared, making the trees overhead rustle.

The little squirrel was so frightened that it jumped onto Cui Yulu's shoulder and dared not come out again.

"Han Hu and Han Bao, grab your weapons! We refuse to believe that the three of us are no match for a big worm!"

Cui Yulu silently took out a silver needle from her bosom and held it in her hand. Although she couldn't guarantee that she could stick the silver needle into the tiger, she still had to try.

The tiger showed no fear of them. Instead, it roared and pounced on them. Han Daping aimed his spear at its throat and swung it forcefully, but the tiger easily dodged it.

Immediately afterward, the tiger launched a counterattack and pounced on Cui Yulu again, but this time it was blocked by Han Bao. The force of the tiger knocked the spear out of Han Bao's hand.

He himself was dragged down as well.

His forehead was bruised and scraped.

"Han Bao, watch your left."

Cui Yulu loudly reminded him, and he moved his body a distance to the right, finally dodging the tiger's large claws.

At the same time, Cui Yulu's silver needles were also used to pierce the tiger, but they had no effect.

This completely enraged the tiger, causing it to attack them like a madman.

The group was clearly no match for the tiger when, just then, the little white wolf suddenly let out a howl.

Soon, the sounds of wolves responding echoed from all around.

Cui Yulu glanced at the little white wolf that had been thrown to the ground. It seemed that this guy was no ordinary person.

Soon a pack of white wolves appeared in their line of sight.

The white wolf in the lead also had a pair of silver-gray eyes, exactly like the little white wolf in her arms.

"Father, are we not going to be able to go back today? Does this mean I can't marry Qiaoyue?"

Han Bao was so anxious he was about to cry.

He's not married yet; it would be such a pity if he died like this.

What do you think of Yulu?

Cui Yulu looked at the little white wolf, then glanced at the wolf king. The wolf king let out a howl, and suddenly more than thirty white and gray wolves appeared behind him, their eerie green eyes staring at the tiger. At this moment, the tiger was also a little scared, and its huge body began to retreat unconsciously.

The white wolf would advance a few steps, and the tiger would retreat a few steps.

The standoff continued until a safe position was reached, at which point the tiger turned and entered the forest, disappearing in a few leaps.

Next, Bai Langwang led Cui Yulu over.

"Yulu, hide behind your uncle."

Han Daping shouted anxiously, but Cui Yulu was not in a hurry.

"Uncle, it's okay, it won't hurt me."

Cui Yulu answered him with a smile, as if she were friends with the white wolf, showing no fear whatsoever.

At this moment, the little white wolf in her arms suddenly jumped out and landed at the wolf king's feet, looking at it obediently.

The wolf king licked his cubs, a display of deep maternal love.

The little white wolf howled a few times, and the wolf king suddenly looked at Cui Yulu.

He strode towards her with brisk steps, sniffed her, and then shook his head, gesturing for her to take the wolf cub and walk with it.

Then, without looking back, he walked deeper into the forest.

"What does 'rain and dew' mean?"

"I'll take you to the wolf's den and eat you."

Knowing that he was timid, Cui Yulu deliberately teased Han Bao.

"Then why should we follow it and just throw our lives away?"

"Silly boy, if that wolf wanted to eat you, it wouldn't need to take you to its den; it would eat you right here."

Han Daping patted Han Bao on the head with his big hand, and the four of them followed the white wolf for about 500 meters until they reached a cave. The white wolf howled and signaled them to go in.

Cui Yulu led the way into the cave, where Du Heng was lying, his face pale and with injuries on his arms and thighs.

The pale complexion is likely due to excessive blood loss.

"Uncle, let's take him away, we can't delay any longer."

So the three of them carried Du Heng down the mountain together.

Just then, Bai Lang stopped Cui Yulu, and everyone was shocked. Was he going to exchange Cui Yulu for him?

The three men quickly put down Du Heng, grabbed their weapons, and were about to aim at the white wolf.

However, Cui Yulu stopped her with a gesture.

The white wolf king simply nudged Cui Yulu with its head, and then pushed the little wolf in front of her.

"Are you telling me it wants to follow me and that I should take it with me?"

The wolf king nodded gently, tossed the little wolf to Cui Yulu, and then led the pack of wolves to protect them, escorting them all the way down the mountain before reluctantly leaving.

This scene was witnessed by Li Dacui, Han Jinling, and Zhao Guifen, who were returning from picking wild vegetables.

The three exchanged glances and whispered, "You still say she's not a demoness? Look at how even the wolves protected them as they descended the mountain. This girl must be a demon."
