Chapter 49 A Blushing Breakfast

Liu Xiuying made breakfast today. She specially made a bowl of red date eight-treasure porridge for Cui Yulu and added a lot of brown sugar, so it was very sweet.

Seeing Han Yu'an and Cui Yulu appear, her face was still flushed, so they quickly brought the eight-treasure porridge to her.

"You must be tired last night. Drink this porridge quickly, it's good for your health."

Seeing his grandmother's rambling manner, Han Yu'an kept his head down, trying not to laugh. The old lady must have misunderstood.

However, he didn't intend to say anything, finding the little girl's embarrassed expression quite adorable.

"Thank you, Grandma, I'll eat right away."

"Eat up, I only made one bowl for you, none of them have any. And here's an egg for you too, eat up."

Liu Xiuying smiled and stuffed the egg into her hand, then got up and went to cook for the others.

Actually, the Han family doesn't lack eggs now. For some reason, the four pheasants in the yard contribute an egg every day, which has caused the old hens that didn't lay eggs before to start laying eggs as well.

So now the Han family can eat eggs every day.

"Why are you blushing? Are you feeling guilty about what happened last night?"

Han Yu'an whispered in her ear, his breath tickling her ear. The eight-treasure porridge she hadn't swallowed yet choked her and caused her to cough violently.

"My lady, you have a cough. Eat slowly."

Han Yu'an continued to play the fool, gently patting her back to comfort her.

Liu Xiuying secretly glanced up and saw this scene, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously turned up.

If things continue at this pace, the two of them can hold a wedding ceremony after Cui Yulu's coming-of-age ceremony.

Thinking this, the old lady became increasingly happy, and she even started cooking faster.

When everyone woke up, a simple breakfast was already prepared.

Cornbread, red date and millet porridge, three eggs, and a small dish of pickled vegetables.

"Grandma, why did you get up so early today?"

Han Bao scratched his head, looked at the food on the table, and grinned as he asked.

"You little brat, hurry up or you'll miss the oxcart to town. How are you going to get a wife then?"

Han Bao chuckled foolishly, sat down next to Han Yu'an, grabbed a pancake, and started taking a bite.

"Grandma, don't worry, my eating speed will definitely not delay the bus to town."

He had a lot of stuff in his mouth, and he kept spitting it out as he spoke. Liu Xiuying tapped him on the head with chopsticks, which stopped him.

"You little brat, can't you even shut up while you're eating? Hurry up and eat, and stop talking."

Cui Yulu had already finished eating, and Liu Xiuying had taken the bowl away to prevent them from being jealous and gossiping.

"Grandma, can I have an egg?"

Han Bao looked at the eggs and reached out to take them, but Liu Xiuying slapped them back.

"The eggs are for Niu Niu and the others. You should eat them quickly, or we won't wait for you."

Han Yu'an was eating very politely at this moment, which was completely different from before.

Cui Yulu looked at his elegant demeanor and thought, "This man is really handsome; even the way he eats is so elegant."

He was a completely different person from before, so I gave a soft hum to remind him to pay attention to his performance.

Han Bao also noticed this scene.

"Grandma, do you think Yu'an has changed?"

Han Bao stared wide-eyed in disbelief, but he soon noticed that the table was covered with rice grains that he had spilled.

Forget it, let's just pretend I didn't say that.

Han Yu'an grinned foolishly at Liu Xiuying, his mouth still covered in food crumbs.

Cui Yulu, who was standing nearby, was wiping his mouth with a handkerchief.

Liu Xiuying glared at Han Bao but didn't say anything. However, this was already very good. He could already read, which was quite impressive. He was making progress slowly.

Han Bao devoured the remaining food in a flash, then took a bite of pickled vegetables and said, "Grandma, let's go."

So the mother and her four children went to the yard and packed the things they wanted to sell into baskets: two geese, a sika deer, some dried mushrooms, and the rest were Cui Yulu's medicinal herbs. She packed them in order to avoid trouble when selling them.

The two geese have been kept in the spring water, and instead of losing weight, they have gained a lot of weight. They should weigh about 20 pounds each, and they are quite heavy in the basket.

However, Han Bao was strong and didn't find it heavy to carry.

"Let's go, the oxcart is waiting at the street corner."

So the mother and her children packed up and set off.

When we arrived at the village entrance, there were already several women on it.

Seeing Liu Xiuying carrying so many things to town again, I couldn't help but feel envious.

"Oh ho, Grandma Han, your family has so much stuff, does that mean you have to pay more?"

Looking at those things, Han Jinling felt an indescribable envy. She could only provoke them verbally, hoping to gain some advantage.

"You don't need to worry about that, the money won't be less."

As he spoke, he loaded the things onto the oxcart. There weren't many people from the village going to town, so after the mother and her four children arrived, Old Man Han planned to drive the cart away.

Suddenly, a woman grabbed a girl and Han Quan and ran over.

"Wait for us."

Han Quan was the first to board the oxcart, reserving seats for the mother and daughter.

"If you're carrying something, offer someone your seat."

As he spoke, he kicked Cui Yulu's basket.

"Isn't there enough room for you over there? How is my basket in your way?"

"Your baskets are so dirty, you've made a mess of the place, how can anyone sit here?"

Looking at his smug expression, Cui Yulu felt a surge of anger.

But not wanting to argue with him here, she moved the basket aside and secretly took out a silver needle to stick it into his acupoints.
