Chapter 334: Met with two fugitives

An Moxue left the border, found a secluded place, sent the information she had found that night to Xu Qingfeng, and then drove away from the small town overnight.

An Moxue walked to the door carrying her things and noticed the abnormality on the lock. It was still daytime, but she acted as if she hadn't noticed anything wrong with the lock and unlocked it as usual, carrying her things into the house.

After surveying the house, An Moxue was both angry and amused. It seemed that this thief really didn't consider himself an outsider. He ate and drank whatever he wanted, and even made the house dirty. He really didn't respect the owner of the house!

Seeing this, An Moxue became cautious. She didn't call the housekeeping robot to clean, nor did she do it herself. Instead, she called a housekeeping service center and hired several workers to thoroughly clean the house inside and out.

After the housekeeping service arrived, she carried the things to the old professor's house, which was not far from here, just two streets away, a twenty-minute walk away.

An Moxue stood at the door and rang the old professor's doorbell. An elderly woman, slightly overweight, opened the door and asked, "May I ask who you are?"

An Moxue smiled brightly and said, "Auntie, hello, I'm here to see the professor. You can just call me Jiduo."

"It's you! Come in quickly!" The old lady warmly took An Moxue's hand and led her into the house.

"What a pretty young girl! How did you manage to make your professor so angry?" The old lady clearly meant no harm; she was just curious.

"Auntie, I don't quite understand what you mean." An Moxue was a little confused.

By then, they had arrived in the living room. The old professor was sitting on the sofa with a book in his hand. Seeing An Moxue come in, he said, "Not bad, you're back a day early. How's your schoolwork? You haven't fallen behind, have you?"

At this moment, the old lady spoke up, her face stern as she said to the old professor, "Guests are guests, and this young lady is here as a guest. If you have to take the exam, we can talk about it when you get to school. There's no point in discussing it now."

Then he turned to An Moxue and smiled broadly, saying, "Little girl Jiduo, sit down. Don't pay any attention to him."

She pulled An Moxue to sit on the sofa. After An Moxue sat down, she placed the gift on the coffee table and said to the old professor, "Professor, these are local specialties I brought for you."

"Yes, the matter is resolved."

"Yes, it's resolved."

The old lady placed a cup of black tea and a plate of pastries in front of An Moxue and said, "Jiduo, have some tea and pastries."

An Moxue smiled at her and said, "Thank you." Then she picked up her teacup, took a sip, and exclaimed, "The tea you brewed is truly fragrant and delicious."

The old lady's smile widened, and the old professor said, "You have good taste."

It seems the old professor really enjoys the tea brewed by the old lady.

And so, An Moxue and the old lady started chatting. The old professor would occasionally chime in with a word or two, but sometimes the old lady would gently but firmly retort. An Moxue was holding back her laughter, which was quite a struggle.

Seeing that it was almost time, An Moxue said goodbye and left. Before leaving, she said, "Go back and study it carefully. I have to take the exam at school." Then she handed An Moxue a notebook, which An Moxue opened and saw that it was the old professor's teaching notes.

"Teacher, this..."

The old professor waved his hand and said, "Hurry up! There are temporary workers waiting for you at home to settle your wages!"

The old lady then smiled and said, "Jido, come and play when you're free, just ignore him."

"good!"

And so, the kind old lady escorted her to the front door before going back herself.

When An Moxue returned home, the workers' work from the past few days was nearing completion. An Moxue inspected the work and said, "The cleaning was good. I'll call you again if I need anything next time." Then she paid them their wages.

After the workers left, An Moxue was alone at home. Looking at the clean and tidy house, she finally felt a little more at ease.

"Don't let me find out who did this, or this won't end here," she thought viciously to herself.

Soon, it got dark. An Moxue woke up, still a little sleepy, but she was already hungry.

She didn't want to cook, so she took out some food from her storage space, along with a plate of fruit and a large glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.

After eating and drinking her fill, she was no longer sleepy. She was wondering if she should investigate who was so tasteless as to make such a mess of her house.

Then she heard the sound of the front door opening outside. An Moxue thought to herself, "Could it be that audacious thief?"

He then heard faint voices coming from the courtyard: "Master, the person must have returned, otherwise the gate wouldn't be locked from the inside."

"Hmm, hurry up, the sooner we finish, the sooner we can get back to work. This guy, I don't know where he went, he just came back, he's wasted so much of our time."

An Moxue laughed in anger. There were two of them! How arrogant! They dared to talk about me so openly in my own yard. It seems they really don't take me seriously! They had better pray that they had enough to compensate me, or they would show me what it means to wish they were dead.

An Moxue put the leftover food into her spatial storage without leaving a trace, then sat on the sofa, waiting for the person to come in. She wanted to see who this arrogant person was!

The master and apprentice opened the door and entered the living room. They were both surprised to see An Moxue sitting on the sofa. They didn't expect a stranger to come to their house in the middle of the night. Was this what she looked like? But she was very pretty. They could have some fun with her.

Could it really be as the old butler of the Popov family said, that skill breeds daring? Why doesn't he believe it? He's so young; even if he'd been practicing martial arts since birth, he couldn't possibly be that skilled.

When An Moxue saw the two people, she couldn't help but sneer inwardly. It was truly a case of "the road to heaven is open, but you refuse to take it; the road to hell is closed, but you insist on forcing your way in."

Two dogs who crossed the border unexpectedly found their way to my doorstep. It seems I can't kill them tonight; I have to leave them alive to see if Wu Sicheng still has anything to interrogate.

The master and apprentice didn't recognize An Moxue. After all, no one would have guessed that the An Moxue who chased them in the mountains back then was the same An Moxue now.

An Moxue sat on the sofa, speaking in the most arrogant tone, "What? Are you here to calculate my expenses at my house these past few days? What did you prepare? It can't be less than what you've brought."

The master and apprentice laughed at the same time. The apprentice said to his master, "Master, where did this idiot come from? She's asking us for food and lodging. What kind of joke is this? You sit here and let me deal with her first. If that doesn't work, then you can step in."

As soon as he finished speaking, An Moxue stretched out her hand and fired a volley of crossbow bolts at him. Two of the three arrows hit his legs, and he immediately lost feeling in both legs, kneeling on the ground. He then collapsed to the ground unconscious.
