An Moxue smiled faintly at the train police officer and said, "Okay, you can wait a moment." As she spoke, An Moxue returned to her berth, took a small notebook from her backpack, quickly put it in her pocket, and said to Ai Guo, "Take good care of Uncle Ma and Aunt Ma, I'll be back in a bit."
Ai Guo nodded and said, "Go ahead! I'll take good care of them."
In the police station, An Moxue recounted what had happened, and finally handed a small notebook to the two train police officers.
The two men took the notebook, exchanged glances upon seeing the cover, and were even more astonished when they saw the job titles inside. They immediately changed their attitude, saluted her respectfully, and said, "Comrade An, thank you for your support of our work. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to raise them."
An Moxue smiled and said, "It's great, you've all worked hard too."
An Moxue asked for her documents back, turned around calmly, and left the police station.
She moved quickly between the carriages, eager to get back to her own carriage and settle down.
However, as I passed a sleeper car, I glimpsed someone on the roof, trying to climb over the window and get into the train.
She found a shady spot to hide, and soon after, she saw a burly man pry open the car window from the outside and nimbly climb into the carriage.
Then, one after another, agile men climbed through the windows into the carriage. There were as many as twelve of them, and each of them was carrying an iron bar and a hammer, with their faces covered by a mask.
An Moxue glanced at the dense forest flashing by outside and realized that these people were probably car thieves. After robbing, they would jump out of the car and go into the woods, making it difficult to find them afterwards. It seemed to be a premeditated gang crime, and they might even be repeat offenders.
While I was thinking, I noticed that there was a man standing at each end of the carriage, holding an iron bar and looking like someone who was not to be trifled with. The others then called out to everyone in the carriage.
The burly man who was the first to crawl into the carriage was holding an iron bar in one hand and slapping his other hand, making a "slap slap" sound.
He stood in the middle of the carriage and shouted, "Behave yourselves! See that iron bar in my hand? This thing doesn't discriminate. I don't think you want to know what it feels like to be hit by it. Of course, we only want money. As long as you obediently hand over your money and valuables, everything will be fine. Otherwise, once we search the place ourselves, we won't be so polite! Do you hear me? You have one minute to get your things ready."
The passengers in the carriage were all awake. Some were sobbing softly, some were trembling with fear, and others were so frightened that they turned pale and dared not move.
With twelve people, An Moxue thought, the only safest option was to use anesthesia needles to quickly and effectively render all twelve unconscious; otherwise, the passengers in the carriage might be in danger.
She quickly calculated the best solution. One of the robbers noticed that An Moxue was still standing there with her head down, not going back to get the money. He thought she was too scared to move, so he reached out to push her.
An Moxue quickly stretched out one hand and inserted a silver needle into his neck, causing him to immediately faint.
An Moxue quickly moved her body again and stuck silver needles into the nearest few robbers.
Before the robbers could even react, the man had already passed out.
In a flash, An Moxue moved like a blur, and her silver needles flew out, accurately piercing the robber who was some distance away, causing him to immediately faint.
Before people could understand what was happening, they could only hear the thud of heavy objects hitting the ground one after another in the aisle of the train carriage.
The robbers who were threatening and demanding money inside the carriage heard the noise and came out. As soon as they poked their heads out, An Moxue knocked them unconscious with a needle.
The passengers in the carriage were confused. Those who were close to the robbers saw them suddenly fall to the ground with a "thud" and remain motionless. They all secretly prayed that someone had subdued the group.
Not a single passenger in the carriage dared to move; they all held their breath, hoping for a miracle, for a great hero to appear in time and save them from danger.
The burly man stood in the middle of the carriage, watching helplessly as five of his brothers fell to the ground. He shouted, "Brothers, you've got a problem! Kill her!"
As he spoke, he charged towards An Moxue. An Moxue reached to her waist, pulled out a soft whip, and lashed it out at the man's iron rod.
In an instant, the man's iron rod flew out of his hand. The man panicked and shouted again, "Brothers, attack together!"
An Moxue wasn't about to give them a chance. She shot out silver needles, and the man fell down, followed by two of his henchmen.
For a moment, only four people remained, all staring at her in terror, as if she were a monster. Finally, someone reacted, reaching out to grab the nearest person and threatening, "Don't come any closer, or I'll kill her."
The other three reacted quickly and grabbed someone nearby.
An Moxue looked up and saw a pair of resentful eyes staring at her. She sneered inwardly, thinking, "They really hate me!"
What a classic case of a good person harboring resentment! Saving someone only resulted in rescuing an enemy? She didn't dare to resent the kidnappers who captured her, so she resented her instead.
An Moxue stood still, watching as each of the four robbers grabbed a hostage.
She threw down the whip in her hand and said very sincerely, "I'll let the four of you leave, and you let them go, okay?"
The robber closest to her asked hesitantly, "Really?"
He dared not hope to rescue the people on the ground and then leave; he would be lucky if he could just get out safely himself. In this critical moment, preserving himself was the most important thing.
An Moxue said sincerely, "Of course, you have hostages in your hands, how could I dare to make any rash moves? Don't you think so?"
"How can we trust you?" The man held the hostage, but his trembling hands betrayed him. He was so nervous that he had no sense of reason, as did the three robbers behind him.
“That’s easy. I’ll open one of the car windows to show my sincerity. You can jump out and you’ll be safe. It’s all dense forest outside, and it’s pitch black. Once you’re out of the car and into the forest, how will we find you?” An Moxue said, taking a few more steps closer to the robbers.
The robber suddenly shouted, "Don't move! Stand right there!"
"Okay, I'll stop." She said, raising her hands high with her fingers spread, and said very sincerely, "Look, I have nothing in my hands, I'm no threat to you. I'll open the window, you leave, and then let them go, okay?"
