When An Moxue got off the plane, she found that the security check was much stricter than when she boarded the plane. Everyone was very careful and seemed a little nervous. It was her first time here, so she didn't know what it was like normally and had no way of knowing.
Once in the taxi, An Moxue chatted with the driver.
"Uncle, the checks here seem much stricter than in Anadolu. Is this how it is usually? I just got off the plane, is there anything I should be careful about?" At this moment, An Moxue looked like a young and innocent noblewoman.
The driver was a cheerful and talkative middle-aged man. He chuckled and replied, "No, it's not usually this strict. I don't know who they're arresting, but it's been going on for over ten days. It's getting stricter every day. Young lady, you're all alone, so be careful and don't mess with anyone you shouldn't, or you'll cause yourself trouble."
"Thank you, uncle. I'm just here for a visit, there won't be any trouble," An Moxue replied with a smile.
"Yes, it's best to carry your ID with you when you go out, so you don't have trouble explaining yourself if you encounter a checkpoint, especially if you're a young woman traveling alone," the uncle advised sincerely as he drove.
"Thank you, uncle. You're such a kind person."
The uncle was even happier to hear An Moxue praise him like that, and he became even more talkative, saying, "That's right, I'm a veteran who participated in the self-defense war. My conscience doesn't allow me to do bad things. I must be a good person, an upright and honest person."
An Moxue exclaimed exaggeratedly, "Wow! Uncle, you're amazing!" She then gave him a thumbs-up.
"I think you're a kind and innocent girl. Don't go out too late at night, especially someone as pretty as you. It'll be troublesome if you get targeted." The uncle was finding An Moxue more and more pleasing to the eye. The young girl had a discerning eye for talent, so the uncle had to give her some sincere advice to prevent her from suffering any losses.
"Thank you, uncle. I promise I won't go out tonight and will stay in my hotel room."
And so, An Moxue and the uncle got along better and better, feeling as if they had known each other for a long time. Before getting off the bus, An Moxue asked for the uncle's contact information, saying that she would treat him to a meal when she had time. The uncle readily gave An Moxue his phone number and address.
An Moxue got out of the car and paid a little extra for the fare. The uncle felt even more that he had given a ride to a kind and lovely young girl, and that today was truly a wonderful day.
An Moxue got out of the car carrying her expensive suitcase. A doorman immediately came to the hotel entrance, respectfully took the suitcase from An Moxue, and asked, "Honorable lady, are you checking in?"
An Moxue replied reservedly, "Yes."
Then the doorman followed An Moxue to the front desk in the lobby to complete the check-in process. This time, An Moxue again opted for a deluxe suite, the kind with a personal butler. The personal butler was a middle-aged woman who carried An Moxue's luggage and accompanied her to the room.
An Moxue entered the room and looked at its furnishings. It reminded her of the hotel she used to stay in when she was doing clothing business in Europe. She sighed inwardly, "Europe, it seems like it hasn't changed much over the years."
An Moxue sat casually on the sofa, with a cup of black tea that Kasha had just brewed for her in front of her. She sipped the long-missed yet familiar black tea and said, "Thank you, Kasha. Sit down. I want to ask you something."
Kasha sat upright on a single sofa to one side and said, "Your Excellency Abaganar Gido, may I ask your question?"
"Kasha, no need to be so polite. Let's be casual. You can just call me Jido." An Moxue always had a smile on her face as she spoke to Jido, but Kasha didn't dare to be casual. An Moxue was clearly a noblewoman of high status, judging from her clothes, jewelry, and mannerisms. The more An Moxue spoke, the more cautious Kasha became.
"Kasha, I sensed that Anado seemed very nervous as soon as I got off the plane. Is something wrong lately?" An Moxue took a sip of red tea and asked casually.
"Oh! Miss Giddo, you don't need to worry about that. The government is catching bad guys, and it'll be fine once they've been caught."
"What kind of bad people are being arrested in such a large-scale operation?"
"It's said they stole important government documents, but I don't know if it's true. Anyway, the checks are getting stricter every day, especially for foreigners. But Miss Jido, don't worry, our two countries are friendly, and they still respect people from Mongolia here."
An Moxue's heart skipped a beat. So people from unfriendly countries would be investigated more strictly? Could it be one of their own?
An Moxue thought this in her heart, but she didn't show it on her face.
"Oh, that's good. I was worried it would interfere with my school visit." An Moxue acted as if it didn't matter as long as it didn't interfere with my business.
"Does Miss Jido want to come to school?"
“Yes, I really like Puda University here and want to study here, so I wanted to come and take a look. Could you please arrange transportation? I'd like to go to Puda University tomorrow morning.” An Moxue spoke like a young girl curious about a school.
"Okay. No problem. Do you need me to come with you?"
"May I?"
"Of course, it's my duty."
"Thank you for your help. After you finish running my bath, please order me a meal. Just deliver it in an hour, then I can leave. I want to rest well today."
"OK."
After Kasha left, An Moxue took a bath. She wanted to take out the radio to contact her contact, but after thinking about the situation outside, she restrained herself from doing so.
After finishing her meal, An Moxue thought for a moment and then went out for a walk in the neighborhood.
Puda is a famous city with a long history, full of traces of time. As An Moxue walked through the city, she was surprised to find that many things were surprisingly similar to her previous world.
She was walking down a relatively secluded but historic street when she suddenly heard the sounds of fighting ahead.
Not wanting to meddle or cause trouble, she immediately changed direction and headed back the way she came.
However, these people seemed to be working against her, and they actually caught up with her from behind.
The man being chased glanced at her, grabbed her arm, and started running with her.
An Moxue was furious!
"Hey, let go of me! Why are you grabbing my arm? Let go."
The young man remained unmoved and silent, as if he hadn't heard An Moxue's words. He continued to hold onto her tightly and keep running.
Two people were running ahead, and a group of people were chasing them.
No matter what An Moxue said, the man wouldn't let go. He held on tightly, and An Moxue was forced to run with him.
The two ran out of the alley and into another street, making several turns before shaking off their pursuers.
The man released An Moxue's hand and said softly, "I'm sorry, to express my apology, I'll treat you to a cup of tea."
Only then did An Moxue take a closer look at the man. He was very tall, probably 1.9 meters, a typical European beauty with deep and three-dimensional features, especially his eyes. When he looked at you, you felt like you were his whole world.
An Moxue ignored him and turned to leave.
