Chapter 524 Just How Rich Is He?

The next day, when An Moxue woke up, it was already past nine in the morning. She practiced a set of boxing, went back to her room to take a shower, then went to the kitchen to make breakfast. After eating, she went to her study, opened it, and found stacks of file folders and property deeds.

An Moxue took them out, looked at them one by one, and then put them back into the safe and locked them up.

In the afternoon, when Rong Anli returned, An Mo was sitting in front of the French windows, slowly sipping tea and leisurely watching the scenery outside.

He was somewhat surprised. "Boss, you didn't go out?"

"No, I just took a break from my busy schedule to relax. How's the wound? Does it still hurt?"

"The swelling and darkening have stopped when I woke up this morning. It's just normal pain, nothing to worry about."

"That means the poison has been neutralized. Just keep an eye on the wound healing and don't strain it. Come and have a cup," An Moxue invited, looking at the teapot in front of her.

"Great! Boss's stuff is always top-notch. I definitely want to see it."

An Moxue washed his teacup, poured him a cup of tea, and handed it to him.

"How's it going? There are going to be changes at home. Any plans? If so, I'd like to arrange for my house to be rented out as soon as possible."

"No, I'll keep going. I've gotten used to it here, it's quite nice. Back home, nothing feels right, and I always get scolded by my father. Here, it's great, with delicious food, beautiful scenery, and beautiful women to admire. I feel at ease."

"Well, that's good too. I thought that with your father's status, you'd have enough experience over the years to go back and become a high-ranking official."

“My family asked me about it, but after thinking about it for a long time, I felt that things were fine as they were. Some things have to be done, right? To be honest, before I went to the training camp, I was unwilling. I was just thinking of resting on my father's laurels, finding a leisurely job, and living a carefree life. That would have been fine. But after doing it, I realized that it's not like that. I still have principles in life and things I love. Right now, that's what I do.” When he said this, the light in his eyes was something he himself probably didn't even realize.

"Well, maybe your grandfather saw through your true nature and didn't want you to be mediocre."

"I really didn't know that. All I know is that before and after the mission, the way my father looked at me was completely different. The rest of the family didn't know what I was doing and always said that my father was protecting me and being biased. Honestly, even the best family members have their share of conflicts. Now that we're far apart, it's hard for me to even go back once, let alone see each other. All that turmoil doesn't belong to me anymore. It's good, peaceful. If I want something, I have to earn it myself. That's tough."

"You're doing just fine this way, unlike me, all alone. I can do whatever I want, with no one competing with me or caring about me. Everything has two sides. People should cherish the present. The past can only be reminisced about, and the future doesn't belong to you yet. Only everything in the present is real and reliable."

"That's right. But people are always confused and can't see reality clearly. Like us, outsiders only see the glamorous side, while we have to suffer the dangers on our own. When we're feeling down, we want to find someone to talk to, but we don't dare or can't. When I first started out, I couldn't even sleep well, afraid that I would say something I shouldn't have in my sleep. It took me a long time to get used to it. Even now, I can't sleep like I did before I went on the mission. Even when I go back to my home in the compound, I can't sleep like that."

"People always have to grow. In the process, it's inevitable to lose some things. Don't we also gain some things? Compared to what we lose, as long as we think what we gain is worthwhile, that's enough."

"Yeah, seeing you occasionally and being able to talk about my feelings helps me relieve stress, which is much better. Boss, what kind of tea is this? After drinking it, I feel like I have all the energy in my body."

"I added some herbs to this to strengthen your body and replenish your vital energy. It's also a medicinal tea, so of course you'll have more energy after drinking it. I left you a jar in the restaurant. You can make it yourself if you want to drink it, just don't put in too much, or it will be a waste."

Hearing this, Rong Anli happily said, "Thank you, boss, you're so thoughtful. Let me treat you to dinner! We'll go to a famous restaurant, is there anything you'd like to eat?"

An Moxue looked at him and said, "Okay, let's go out for a walk and get something to eat. I'll listen to you; you know this place better than I do."

"Then hurry up and change your clothes, dress up nicely, and let's go eat a delicious meal."

"Alright! I'll do as you say."

When Rong Anli took An Moxue to a Russian restaurant, she didn't want to say anything. She should have ordered one herself, but it would have been nice to come and take a look.

After taking their seats, Rong Anli whispered to An Moxue, "Boss, this is a newly opened Russian restaurant that's only been open for a few months. I heard the owner is a nobleman from Russia, and the restaurant's standards are all based on those of Russian nobles. Even the ingredients are sourced from strictly controlled locations. The food is amazing! I only got a super expensive membership card so I could get in line. Otherwise, I don't know how long I would have to wait to eat here."

An Moxue looked around and asked, "The customer feedback is very good?"

"Of course, the taste is undeniable, but it hurts to eat there every time. It's expensive, and there's a reason for that."

What kind of card did you apply for?

"What card? A regular membership card is already enough to make me feel bad, what other card do you want me to get? As long as there's food and no need to queue, that's enough. I don't come here all the time," Rong Anli said with some pain in his eyes.

An Moxue was curious, only knowing that he loved to eat, "You really like the food here?"

"Of course, they're all top-quality ingredients, and the food tastes delicious. Who wouldn't love it?"

An Moxue smiled and said, "Okay, do a good job this year, and I'll give you a VIP card next year, the kind where you can eat for free when you come."

After hearing her finish speaking, Rong Anli looked around and reminded her, "Boss, keep your voice down. Just tell me, don't tell anyone else. I've never heard of getting this kind of card here before. People will laugh if they hear it."

"You're making a fuss over nothing. Your boss is treating today, so I'll show you what a VIP card is all about."

After An Moxue finished speaking, she called over a waiter, who then called over the manager.

Rong Anli watched in a daze as the manager bowed and scraped to An Moxue, then An Moxue ordered a bunch of things that Rong Anli thought were ridiculously expensive. Then the manager took An Moxue's card to sign the bill, but didn't pay.

When all the dishes were served, An Moxue looked at him and said with amusement, "Snap out of it, are you going to eat or not?"

He snapped out of his daze, looked at An Moxue, and said, "Eat! Eat!"

After a few bites, he realized what was going on and said, "Boss, you own a share in this restaurant, right?"

"You're not too stupid, but I only invested some money and I'm not involved in the operation. Next time you come, you can sign my bill and it will be free. When I get back, I'll apply for a supplementary card for you, so you can eat for free at any of these Russian restaurants."

Is this restaurant a chain?

"Yes, it's already available in several countries, and more chain stores will be opened in the future."

"My God! Boss, just how rich are you?"
