“Finally back!”
Vichy opened the door of the suite and saw Ash and Fili appear outside the door, wet, like two puppies that fell into the water.
"Don't you have an umbrella?" Wei Xi asked with a smile. Halfway through the fireworks display, it suddenly started to rain heavily. They contacted each other through their cell phones and found that they were too far away, so they decided to take a taxi back.
"It's not like there isn't one..." Ash took out a transparent umbrella, looking a little depressed, "A kind person gave us an umbrella."
He and Fili had just returned to the foot of the mountain by cable car when they encountered a rainstorm. They had planned to stay in the facility with an awning for a while until the rain stopped, but a mysterious man wearing a mask and a hood suddenly handed them an umbrella, did a good deed and left without leaving his name.
Unable to refuse the kind invitation, they had no choice but to leave Xia Guang Happy World holding the umbrella.
As it turned out, this umbrella might not even be able to serve as a single umbrella. It was the same whether it was opened or not. Ash and Fili huddled together but still got soaked by the rain.
Rose brought dry towels over to cover them. Ash glanced at the suite and saw that Igula and Harvey were also there. He asked, "Where's Nia?"
Rose said as she prepared a hot drink, "She said she wanted to go somewhere and didn't leave with us."
Ash glanced at the violent storm outside, took out his cell phone to contact Nia, but the number was turned off. He frowned and asked, "Vichy, do you know where Nia is?"
"have no idea."
Wei Xi hugged Fili who was wrapped in a towel and said lazily: "Master, do you still need to care about Nia? Who else in the world can bully her except you? You and the little sheep are both wet, take off your clothes and go to the bathroom to wash together!"
Ash thought so too. He sat on the couch and looked at Vichy suspiciously: "You seemed very quiet in the park today. Are you planning something bad?"
"Master, you are really..." Weixi said with pity, "I saw you guys were having so much fun, I didn't even have the heart to disturb you, but you looked at me like this... I'm really sad this time, I won't talk to you anymore."
"Really?" Ash was unexpectedly ecstatic: "That's great!"
"Of course it's fake. How could I ignore my master?" Vichy blinked and rubbed his face against Fili's. "Did you have fun after taking the cable car up?"
"Bungee jumping is fun." Ash commented, "It's just that Fili is too afraid of heights. Every time she sits down, her legs become weak and she can't get up without being carried."
"Oh, is that so?" Vichy raised his lips and glanced at Fili, which made Fili's heart beat wildly. "Why didn't you get back to the Central Square in time? Did something happen?"
"The cable car broke down." Ash took the hot drink from Rose and thanked her. "But we didn't miss the fireworks. They were really beautiful."
"Are those really fireworks?" Vichy narrowed his eyes and smiled, "Something must have happened when you were riding the cable car."
Ash and Fili looked at each other and decided to use the "I have the right to remain silent" strategy to fight against this soul demigod.
But Vichy's gossip was not so easy to dismiss: "Fili's eyes were swollen from crying, but she looked much better than before, obviously she had a good sleep. I guess her eyes were swollen from crying on the cable car, and she fell asleep on the way back?"
Ash's eyebrows twitched when he heard this, and he couldn't help but wrap the dry towel tightly around him - all hits!
After calming down the chaos in her heart, Fili completely relaxed and slept soundly next to Ash in the car. Even Ash couldn't help but take a nap.
"Why are you crying?" Rose asked curiously, "Is it because it's not fun?"
"I think it's OK," Harvey said. "The corpse party parade there is great. It shows a lot of different ways of dying. It's very interesting!"
"I, I," Fili said embarrassedly, "Don't worry about me, I'm fine."
Wei Xi wiped the rain off her hair and asked with a smile, "Will you still suffer from insomnia in the future?"
Fili pursed her lips and shook her head quickly.
Ash wiped the rain off his head with a towel and changed the subject directly: "Harvey, why are you and Igula staying here?"
They booked three large suites in this hotel, one for men, one for women, and one for Ash. Now they were all gathered in the women's suite, so Ash felt strange.
"Xavi, that idiot, forgot his room card in the room." Igulla said unhappily, "We're waiting for room service to come up and open the door, but it seems that there is a tour group coming in tonight, and the hotel is short-staffed. I don't know when they will come up."
"Forgot your room card?" Ash thought for a moment, "Our rooms are next to each other, right? Can we just go through the balcony and open the door?"
Igula glanced outside: "It's still raining outside, let's wait..."
“I’ll go!”
Fili, who was teased by Vichy, immediately took up the task, threw away the dry towel and walked quickly to the balcony.
As Ash walked over to help, he saw Fili leap directly from the balcony to the next balcony. Ten seconds later, the door of the suite next to him opened, and Fili came back with the room card, "Done!"
Igula and Harvey thanked them, took the room card and went back to their room to rest.
Fili turned her head and found that Yaxiu was staring at her suspiciously.
"Miss Fili," he said slowly, "we live in a suite on the 27th floor."
Fili tilted her head, not understanding Ash's subtext.
"You were so scared of heights when you were riding the roller coaster and bungee jumping, but you were able to move freely across the balcony on the 27th floor." Ash deadpanned, "Your fear of heights is quite flexible."
Fili's body shook, and then she collapsed to the ground, looking at Ash pitifully.
"You don't think your fear of heights can be delayed, do you?!"
"No, my legs really went weak." Fili blinked, "You were so mean to me that I was scared to the point of being unable to stand up."
"I'm mean to you? How am I mean to you?"
She pouted and said, "I'm scared when you talk to me the same way you talk to Sister Vichy."
Vichy patted Ash's shoulder, "Look how badly you treat me. Everyone can see it."
Ash sighed, reached out and pulled Fili up, and asked, "Are you unhappy in the theme park? Is that why you have to wear a mask to fit in with the atmosphere?"
"No, no!" Fili didn't expect Ash to misunderstand her, and quickly said, "I'm very happy today! Today is the happiest day of my life, even happier than the last date! I just... I just think it's more fun this way..."
"That's good." Ash smiled, "Because I'm happy too."
"It's so nice to spend today with you."
Fili was stunned, and then collapsed to the ground again.
Ash didn't know whether to laugh or cry: "I didn't mean to be mean to you this time, did I?"
"No, I just, I just..." Fili started to cry again and bit her lips lightly: "I can finally forgive you..."
"Ah?" This time it was Ash's turn to be dumbfounded: "How did I offend you?"
"Ferris wheel." She sniffed hard. "You said that time—"
Ding-dong-
The doorbell suddenly rang, and Ash breathed a sigh of relief, "Is Nia back?"
Rose went to open the door, but what they saw was a group of policemen in raincoats. The leader took out his ID and said politely, "Good evening. I am Underwood, deputy director of the Longbridge City Police Department. Is Mr. Heath here?"
Ash looked at everyone, walked to the door and said, "I'm Ash Seath, you were looking for me?"
"I've heard a lot about you." Underwood extended his hand. "My child is also a loyal reader of yours."
"Thanks--"
As soon as Ash shook hands with him, cold handcuffs locked his wrists.
Fili stood up suddenly, Rose took a step back and took out her cell phone, Vichy stretched, and the sound of a door opening was heard nearby.
"Asher Hiss, you are now formally arrested for murder to assist in the investigation."
