Chapter 71 Who is good looking?
Ling's father, who was rubbing his hands in anticipation, didn't realize that he was being used as a carrot. He was thinking about doing something big while Ling Shen was away. Not far behind him, Song Ze was staring at Ling's father's back as if he saw his year-end bonus, his eyes full of determination to get it.
The arrival announcement blared over the airport broadcast, and the crowd surged toward the exits. Lucas, wearing black sunglasses, one hand in his pocket. His royal blue suit accentuated his pale complexion. His open collar revealed a silver clavicle chain, and the skull pendant swayed with every step he took.
He raised his hand to push up his sunglasses and raised his eyebrows at the crowd: "Ling, Su, you're here." The ending of his words had an American accent, which was particularly clear in the noisy hall.
Ling Shen looked at Lucas with his arms outstretched. Already prepared, he pulled Su Nian and quickly walked around the man in front of him. "Lucas, you always use this trick."
Lucas hugged nothing and turned around helplessly to look at Ling Shen who was holding Su Nian. "Ling, don't be like this. After all, we haven't seen each other for a long time."
Seeing Lucas trying to pick him up again without giving up, Ling Shen opened the car door and quickly got in. "Are you going or not?"
Lucas looked at his ruthless friend, then looked at Su Nian who was trying not to laugh, and put on his glasses unhappily. "Let's go, of course we'll go. I've prepared a big gift for you."
The roar of the engine suddenly sounded, the tires rubbed against the ground with a harsh sound, and the supercar rushed out like an arrow, tearing the rest of his words into pieces and scattering them on the neon-lit airport avenue.
Ling Shen frowned slightly, his eyes fixed on the accelerating traffic ahead, his fingers tapping unconsciously on his knees, clearly wary of the "big gift" Lucas mentioned.
"Lucas, this gift of yours is not some kind of hilarious prank, is it?" Su Nian said with a smile, breaking the brief silence in the car.
In order to celebrate Ling Shen’s birthday, Lucas placed a row of singing cartoon dolls downstairs of his company, which attracted many employees to watch and made the usually calm Ling Shen blush.
Lucas winked at Su Nian in the rearview mirror and said mysteriously, "Su, this is definitely a surprise, not a shock! I guarantee you'll be satisfied when you see it."
He stepped lightly on the accelerator again, and the car increased its speed a bit. The street scenes on the roadside quickly receded, as if to leave all the noise behind.
Ling Shen snorted softly, his tone filled with helplessness. "What you call a surprise is, to me, nine times out of ten, just a 'shock.' Last time, you and my dad replaced all the books in my study with comics, claiming it was to help me relax, but I ended up spending the entire afternoon searching for an important contract."
"Oh, that's all in the past!" Lucas waved his hand, trying to change the subject. "I'm sure you'll be satisfied this time."
The familiar street scene cast a blurry shadow on the car window, and Ling Shen's fingertips unconsciously stroked the protruding joints on the back of Su Nian's hand.
The scent of cedar and citrus wafted from the car's aromatherapy, but it couldn't suppress his suddenly tense nerves - the faint electronic music coming from outside the window mixed with the sound of splashing water was like some kind of danger signal.
The car door was flung open, and salty, damp steam, mingled with the strong scent of perfume, hit me in the face. Neon lights shone psychedelically on the surface of the pool. A dozen figures in bikinis and swim trunks tangled in the water, someone spraying champagne bottles with abandon, the foam splashing across their tanned skin.
Ling Shen instantly dragged Su Nian behind him, gritting his teeth as he stared at the innocent-looking Lucas, "Is this the surprise you were talking about?!"
Lucas nodded and pointed at the people playing in the pool. "It's a pool party. Surprising?"
Ling Shen's heart pounded as Su Nian's cold fingers poked his lower back. He turned and saw his lover's sparkling eyes, their pupils reflecting the pool lights like two dancing flames.
Su Nian stood on tiptoe to get a clearer look at the girl wearing a unicorn swimming ring in the distance, and the ends of her hair brushed against Ling Shen's tense jaw.
"Do you still remember that we are a couple? Why are you throwing me a pool party?!" Ling Shen's roar seemed insignificant amid the passionate music. Not only did it not have any effect, but he was even so shocked by the music that he couldn't help but frown.
Lucas pointed at his ear and shook his head, then spread his hands and ran to the swimming pool with the beautiful woman who was pulling him.
Ling Shen took deep breaths to suppress his emotions. Seeing Su Nian's face full of interest, he suddenly bent down and picked up Su Nian horizontally. His leather shoes made a crisp sound as they stepped on the cobblestone path.
Su Nian's exclamation mixed with laughter from afar, and her warm breath sprayed on his collarbone: "Hey, put me down! Wow, look, those abdominal muscles..."
Ling Shen's arms suddenly tightened, almost pulling him in. He quickened his pace and passed through the wisteria-covered archway. The warm yellow lights of the manor finally dispelled the glaring neon lights of the swimming pool area.
But Su Nian's twisting waist and smiling murmurs made his ears hotter and hotter, and his heart beat so fast that it almost burst through his chest.
The butler held a blue and white porcelain plate filled with freshly baked cranberry cookies, the steam rising from the pan and swirling with the aroma of butter. He adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, his gaze fixed on Su Nian, who was in Ling Shen's arms. "Hey? What's going on?"
Ling Shen strode forward holding Su Nian in his arms, his chin slightly raised, revealing his sharply defined Adam's apple.
"Nothing, where are you going?" The sound of leather shoes stepping on the marble floor echoed in the empty corridor.
The butler shifted the cookie tray to his other hand, his silver cufflinks gleaming coldly under the light. "Oh, to the party next door. Oh, there's no one at the manor tonight. They're all next door."
There was something meaningful hidden in the smile lines at the corners of his eyes, and a servant hurried past behind him, pushing a food cart filled with champagne.
When Su Nian heard what the housekeeper said, her eyes suddenly lit up, but she was helpless because Ling Shen was holding her tightly. She blinked at the housekeeper, but only got a helpless look in return.
The room I hadn't returned to for a long time was still clean, with a cashmere blanket casually draped over the silk sheets.
Su Nian slumped onto the fluffy down mattress, her hair brushing against the iris-embroidered pillowcase. The overhead chandelier's light was shrouded in shadow. Ling Shen untied his tie with suppressed violence, the mother-of-pearl buttons clattering against the carpet. His chest and abdominal muscles, maintained by years of exercise, were exposed before Su Nian's eyes.
Su Nian's throat tightened, his Adam's apple rolling uncontrollably. He heard his own hoarse voice: "A Shen..." The tail end of the sound was crushed by the sudden sound of wind outside the window.
Ling Shen knelt on one knee on the bed, and the concave curve of the mattress made Su Nian slide towards him involuntarily.
Warm breath sprayed against his ears: "Does it look good? Huh? Or are they better looking?" He pinched Su Nian's chin with his bony fingers, and his fingertips stroked his red earlobe, as if he was appreciating a fragile piece of porcelain.
Su Nian looked into those dark eyes, filled with a dark tide, and raised her hand as if possessed. Just as her fingertips were about to touch his heart, her wrist was suddenly clamped down with an iron-like force.
The silk tie formed beautiful diamond patterns on Su Nian's wrist, and the cool touch intertwined with the sweat oozing from his palms.
When he tilted his neck back, his Adam's apple rolled in the shadow. Ling Shen leaned over and kissed him like a thorny vine, winding from the red earlobe all the way to the hollow of the collarbone.
The chandelier stretched the shadows of the two people on the beige wallpaper, and as Ling Shen moved, the shadows shattered into flickering spots of light.
Ling Shen's bony fingers brushed the corners of Su Nian's reddened eyes, their fingertips stained with fine water droplets. When his slightly cool fingertips suddenly pressed against the hollow below his collarbone, Su Nian's back suddenly tensed, and the silk tie left red marks from his struggle.
Salty tears mixed with rapid breathing condensed into a scorching mist in the air, making the scarlet desire in Ling Shen's eyes even more intense.
"Who's good-looking? Huh?" A hoarse question wrapped in hot breath sprayed on the ear. Ling Shen's canine teeth gently rolled over the shiny skin, leaving fine teeth marks on the side of the neck.
His thumb stroked Su Nian's red lower lip, and his fingertips suddenly pinched the other's jaw hard, "Look at me, say it again."
Tears rolled down Su Nian's eyelashes, forming a transparent stream under her eyes. When Ling Shen's lips pressed down again, he whimpered and uttered broken syllables between his tangled breaths.
"Ling Shen...it's you..." Before he could finish his words, he was swallowed up in a deeper kiss. The tie on his wrist loosened with Ling Shen's movements, revealing two winding red marks.
The sound waves from the pool party outside the window hit the glass, and the electronic music of the DJ mixed with the cheers of the crowd was no match for the slight sound of fabric tearing in the bedroom.
The moment Ling Shen ripped open the buttons of Su Nian's shirt, the moonlight slid into the open collar along the sweat on the back of his neck, giving the entangled figures a hazy silver edge.
