After everything was finished, it was just beginning to get light outside. I noticed that Xie Yuancheng was also very fast with one hand, just like usual.
I obediently followed him out the door. As soon as we reached the foot of the mountain, we saw some people from the Western Regions walking around. He went up to them and spoke to them. It was the first time I had ever seen someone speak the Western Regions language. This guy must be some kind of cheat code.
"Ying'er, let's follow them, we'll be there in half an hour."
Xie Yuancheng came over to take the horse; since he wanted to be a laborer, I let him be. There happened to be some people speaking Mandarin, and I occasionally eavesdropped. They were just talking about funny things happening at home.

I knew he was up to no good, so I had no choice but to follow him. Luckily, the people in front of us weren't walking very fast, so we caught up with them.
Most of them were leading camels, with fewer people leading horses. They probably had a lot of things to buy, so they used camels to carry the loads.

After I massaged his hands, we arrived at the town gate. It was the first time I had ever seen a city gate built of yellow sand, and everything about it was incredibly novel.

"Wife~ Don't leave me~" Xie Yuancheng started hugging my leg, and the people around started pointing and whispering. The worst part was that I couldn't understand what they were saying!
"Girl~" The girls who had been walking with us earlier and could speak Mandarin squeezed in: "Is this your man? He's very handsome. You can't let him down. It's okay if your family is poor. Our family isn't rich either."
"I...I didn't." I turned to look at Xie Yuancheng: "Get up right now!"
Xie Yuancheng cried even louder: "Wife~ I was wrong, please don't be angry, I'll buy you delicious food, please don't abandon me~"
The people around me started trying to persuade me, each one more agitated than the last. I was about to become the target of everyone's criticism, so I had no choice but to agree to Xie Yuancheng's demands. That bastard, he can forget about me doing the work scaffolding for him tonight.
Xie Yuancheng got up this time, tears streaming down his face. It's really hard to tell where he got so many tears.
We passed by a restaurant on the street, and the owner came over and stared at me. I almost couldn't lift my head.

The food in the Western Regions was very dry, and I didn't want to eat anymore after a few bites. Xie Yuancheng asked the owner to bring two bowls of milk tea, added some to the dishes, mixed it up, and handed it to me.
I could clearly feel the gazes of those around me, which is why I continued eating. It was definitely better to eat like this; at least I ate more than half a bowl of rice and all the meat and vegetables on the table.
Here, chopsticks are not used; everything is eaten with hands. However, for outsiders, there are small bamboo spoons, so we didn't eat with our hands.
I looked around and saw many people from the Western Regions washing their hands and then immediately eating their rice and vegetables. Some, who were so hungry they were dizzy, ate first and then washed their hands.
After Xie Yuancheng paid the bill, he led me forward. When I reached a less crowded area, just as I was about to pull away, he leaned closer.
"Ying'er~ I'm so dizzy~" I saw him secretly smiling and wanted to keep my distance from him, but the people around us were pointing and whispering. I was worried that they would come up and tell me how to treat my husband properly, so I resigned myself to letting him lean on me.
When they arrived at a medicine stall, Xie Yuancheng went over, spoke to the stall owner, paid, and the stall owner began to grind the medicine for him, then put it in a gourd and handed it to him.
We had enough gauze, so he didn't accept the gauze the stall owner offered. I didn't even know he could speak the language of the Western Regions; this is quite an eye-opener for me.
We strolled around the town, and I saw many interesting things that I really wanted to see. But Xie Yuancheng held my hand and wouldn't let me go. As soon as I turned my head to look, he started to create a tragic atmosphere, so I could only catch glimpses of him out of the corner of my eye.
"There are people gathered up ahead, let's go take a look~" I heard the voice and wanted to go and see, but Xie Yuancheng tightened his grip on my hand and shook his head at me.
"Ying'er, let's not join in the fun and let's get out of town first."
I really wanted to imitate him, clinging to his leg and howling. But when I heard the sound of clashing weapons, I decided not to go and focused on helping him out.
As soon as I mounted my horse, Xie Yuancheng jumped on top, pulled the reins, and the horse turned back. Before I could react, I saw thick smoke rising from the town.
