The night passed peacefully. Knowing that we were taking him to the Prime Minister's residence the next morning, Yu'er didn't sleep in his crib that night. Instead, he climbed onto our bed with his little pillow and jumped around.
"My good son, come to Daddy~" Xie Yuancheng was already yawning. He rubbed Yu'er's head and said, "If you don't go to sleep, I won't take you out tomorrow."
Yu'er turned his head and went to hug the small pillow next to me. I immediately hugged him, and Yu'er got ready to sleep.
I had just put him to sleep when Xie Yuancheng pulled me out of the room. My precious son was still lying in bed; how could he take me out like that?
"Xie Yuancheng, why aren't you sleeping so late at night? We have things to do tomorrow morning!"
When I saw that he was about to take me out, I quickly grabbed him and stopped him from leaving. Xie Yuancheng turned around and smiled, "It's fine to stay in the mansion. We'll just keep our movements quiet."
"No, Yu'er is lying in bed. What if she falls and wakes up?"
"Don't worry, a maid has already gone to take care of him. It's just past 7 PM now, Ying'er, you promised me this."
Seeing the pitiful look in his little puppy eyes, I followed him out of the manor. Sigh, if only I had held onto Yu'er tightly and not let go, then I would have seen what he would do.
I was still asleep this morning when I received a small slap on the face. It wasn't a hard slap, and after I swatted it away, another slap came. Then I remembered that Yu'er slept here last night.
"Mommy's so lazy~" Yu'er came over and kissed me. This little bean sprout hasn't brushed its teeth yet, and its little mouth smells.
"It's your father's fault. Go help your mother beat him."
Yu'er really turned around and hit Xie Yuancheng, "Daddy is bad, Mommy told me to hit him."
I quickly got up, hugged him, and pinched his cheeks: "You little tattletale, getting up so early in the morning to slap your mother's face."
"Hehe~" Yu'er laughed so hard she almost fell over, "We need to wash and scrub."
I looked at Xie Yuancheng, and it was rare that he was still asleep. I held Yu'er and put him on his face, and Yu'er pinched and squeezed him!
"Haha, serves you right for not going to bed early last night!" I clapped my hands, and Yu'er pinched even harder.
"Ying'er, isn't it because you're so considerate of me? You already have a beautiful woman by your side, but I'm only thinking of you. Why did you get up so early this morning?"
"We're going to the Prime Minister's residence, have you forgotten?" I was about to tickle him, how could he forget such an important matter?
"Of course I remember. It's not even dawn yet, it's still the hour of Yin (3-5 AM), and you're already leaving. Uncle Cui will be back a little later today, so you should get some sleep. We'll leave at the hour of Si (9-11 AM)."
Yu'er was unhappy. He opened his little mouth and started to bite: "Get up, get up. If you sleep any longer, you'll become lazy."
"Yu'er, would you like something delicious to eat? We can even take you on a boat trip today!"
I kicked him as soon as I heard we were going on a boat. Last night he dragged me onto the boat, saying we should see the scenery. What scenery? My back is killing me now.
"We want to take a boat!" Yu'er was so easily fooled that she lay down in the middle and closed her eyes to sleep again.
I covered him with a small blanket, and Xie Yuancheng carried him to the inside of the room, then he slept on the outside of me. His hands were always restless, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"Ying'er~ You should sleep a little longer, it's still early." Xie Yuancheng was going too far, always trying to play the innocent card.
But I wasn't fully awake yet, and I don't know what he whispered in my ear, but I quickly fell asleep. When I woke up again, it was already daylight.
"Mommy is a little lazy, she just washes up and eats right away." Yu'er ran in, her little face flushed, and opened her little mouth for me to smell.
“Yu’er smells like Grandma!” After I got up, he wanted me to hug him. “Mommy hasn’t washed her face yet.”
"No, Yu'er smells so nice. Daddy said I should call Mommy and ask for a hug~"
Xie Yuancheng must have given him some benefits again, which is why the little bean is so obedient to him. Yu'er smells of milk all over; just holding him and smelling him makes you feel refreshed.
After I finished, he jumped around even more. After we went outside, he even started yelling a few times, and I quickly covered his little mouth.
“Yu’er, if you keep calling out like that when we get to the Prime Minister’s residence, your mother will never take you out again.”
"No, Mommy is the best~" He climbed into my arms. This carriage was specially modified for children.
"Yu'er, come here to Daddy, let your lazy little mommy make room to rest~"
"Haha~ Lazybones." Yu'er broke free from me and crawled over. I grabbed his short legs, and he turned around and started howling.
"Ying'er, it takes two incense sticks to go to the Prime Minister's residence. Why don't you go to sleep?"
Xie Yuancheng, that bastard, don't think I don't know what he's up to. I had just leaned against him when Yu'er came to cause trouble. After getting out of the car, he became even more arrogant, walking around like he didn't recognize anyone.
But when he started causing trouble at the door, he became scared and clung to Xie Yuancheng's leg, saying, "Daddy, I want a hug."
Xie Yuancheng tried to take his little hand, but Yu'er pulled it away, looked up at him with his big, watery eyes, and looked pitiful.
He then picked up Yu'er, who nestled against him without moving. The Prime Minister hadn't returned, and Xie Yuancheng, familiar with the area, led my son and me around.
This morning, Xi Zhi looked at us with those big, watery eyes, as if to say, "I want to go out with you too." Only after Yu'er gave Xi Zhi a spoonful of egg drop soup did our youngest son smile.
"Yu'er is starting to look like a big brother now." I can't help but smile when I think of the little ones together; they're just too adorable.
When Yu'er heard me praising him, he immediately turned around to look at me: "Mommy, my sweetie~"
"You little rascal, do you want to come down and walk? The ground is so pretty."
We walked around for a long time, and we were still in the garden. I was wearing a veil, so it was inconvenient for me to hold Yu'er. I was afraid that if he opened his little hands, I would have brought him here for nothing.
Yu'er hesitated for a moment, but still got out and walked. He had been worried, but then he ran around the yard. However, he was very careful outside, only running a small circle.
"Yuancheng, it's been a long time since we've seen you. You even know to come to our Prime Minister's residence!" That voice was so strong; you could tell it belonged to the former Grand Secretary.
Yu'er was probably startled. He jumped into my arms and leaned against me. Xie Yuancheng led us up and introduced him: "Ying'er, this is the Prime Minister's eldest son, Cui Youtian."
I bowed to him. We've met before in the palace, haven't we? It's just that the position of Grand Secretary has changed hands quite a few times.
"That's great. With a beautiful wife in my arms and such an obedient son, my life is perfect."
I was still guessing what they were talking about when I realized the Crown Prince was behind us. When he came over, I wanted to slap him.
Yu'er was so well-behaved, holding my little hand and standing beside me, neither talking nor being naughty. The three men were chatting, and each one of them was quite the actor.
"Haha, the Crown Prince and the Marquis are here. Please come inside and sit down. Don't stand."
The prime minister appeared out of nowhere; he simply came out and, with a single sentence, let them into the house.
