"Mother~" Yan'er tugged at Li Ruowei's hand and acted coquettishly. Xizhi and Suling also reached out their hands. The three little ones got along well, so I asked Li Ruowei to take Yan'er with them.
But Li Ruowei shook her head: "I won't go. You can only go out for an hour. It's too rushed to go back and forth. Yan'er, come with your mother to do some things."
Yan'er pouted, gave me a pitiful look, and then followed Li Ruowei. I went to ask Xie Yuancheng if there was anything urgent at the manor.

Su Ling and Xi Zhi held hands and smiled at us. Xie Yuancheng led us away. I'll talk to Li Ruowei later. She's very good at teaching children, but they also need some space to play.

I first gave them some milk tea, then broke it into small pieces for them to eat. Su Ling and Xi Zhi have small hands, and they ate the snacks with a satisfied look on their faces.
“The little ones are so well-behaved.” I poured Xie Yuancheng a glass, and he reached out to take it, so I moved back a seat.
"Waaah, Ying'er bullied me~" Xie Yuancheng started to droop his eyes and looked at me with a wronged expression. Only then did I hand it to him and wait for him to drink it before taking it back.
It's so nice to live like this. It's so good to go out as a family. Xie Yuancheng took us to the northern suburbs, where the old emperor used to live. Xizhi and Suling had never been there before. They ate a small pastry and looked at me with their big, bright eyes. I knew these two little gluttons liked to eat.
I opened the pastry box and let them choose. Xi Zhi, with her typical girlish mindset, actually chose peach blossom pastry, while Su Ling was quite domineering and preferred a long piece of Biluo pastry.
"You two little ones are so funny." I kissed them each, and they started to nibble on their food. Children's mouths are very small, and Xizhi and Suling have always been careful to eat quietly.
Xie Yuancheng only took a few bites before turning his back on the pastries. They were very delicately made, with little sugar, and I had no appetite, so he wouldn't eat them either. I'll add more dishes for him when we get back for dinner.
"Yuancheng, are you really not hungry?" I was worried that he would run out of energy and faint, which would make me very sad.
"Ying'er, I really don't want to eat anymore. These snacks are for girls."
"Okay, I want to go back and make you some soup. We can cook together tomorrow."
"Okay." Xie Yuancheng touched my face. I waited for Su Ling and Xi Zhi to finish eating before letting them choose, but the two little ones actually rejected it.
"Mommy, I want a hug~" Su Ling finished eating and wiped her hands, then asked me to hug her. I put the snack box away and held her in my arms. Her little hands were so soft.
"Weren't they all so cute when they were little, with their tiny hands and feet, so soft and cuddly?" I showed Xie Yuancheng Su Ling's little hands; they were chubby little hands. Children at that age are all so well-behaved.
"Ying'er was like this when she was little, even younger than Xizhi. She wouldn't let me hold her and even complained about me~"
"Alright, that's all ancient history. Now, you can do whatever you want, even worse, instead of bringing up old stories with me."
"As long as Ying'er doesn't do anything foolish again or suddenly run away, I won't hold the old scores against her."
Xie Yuancheng looked smug. Xizhi hugged his arm and blinked her big, grape-like eyes at me. He was probably thinking in his little head what his parents meant.
I spent the whole way playing with the little ones. Su Ling and Xi Zhi are such little rascals. I forgot they were supposed to take a nap in the afternoon. It's late now, and I hope they don't wake up tonight.
I had just put Su Ling to sleep when there was a commotion outside. Xie Yuancheng lifted the carriage curtain to look, and the carriage stopped. The little ones, who had been sleeping with their eyes closed, all opened their eyes and stared at me.
"Su Ling~ You are a good baby, you need to sleep so that you can grow tall."
I whispered to her to sleep. Su Ling had a small round bun on her head. She shook her little head and looked at me. I couldn't resist her big eyes when she blinked.
“Yuancheng, let’s go for a walk. After the two little ones fall asleep, we can go for a swim. I completely forgot that they are still so young and need to sleep a lot.”
"Yeah, if I sleep now, I don't know if I'll wake up and make a fuss at night."
"My sister must know, she didn't even remind me. We'll sneak out to play tomorrow after the kids are asleep!"
"Ying'er, I only promised you today~" Xie Yuancheng winked at me. I had actually forgotten about these two cunning siblings. I don't want to be friends with them anymore.
Su Ling held my index finger, her little finger pointing out of the carriage curtain, and I carried her down. Xi Zhi was probably sleepy, but he was blinking. I glanced back at Xie Yuancheng; with the light behind him, I wasn't worried he wouldn't take the bait.
"Ying'er!" Xie Yuancheng called out, and followed me downstairs. But if I had known what was happening outside, I wouldn't have come down.
"Madam~ my little one is so hungry, please have mercy on me~" It was a child who was a little over three years old, dressed in ordinary clothes, probably separated from his family.
"Madam, why did you come down?" Bizhu ran over: "I was giving her money to go home. This child is so difficult to deal with. She won't say who the adults are or where she lives. She's blocking our car."
