Chapter 435 The journey is not difficult

I told them the route, including things to be careful about later. Xie Yuancheng snatched the scroll and looked at it. The contents were immediately clear, and he started glaring at me again.

"Little Chengcheng~ You can only see this if it's in my hands." I held it in my hand and pointed the teachers in the completely opposite direction. Lu Fengjun is a shrewd person; there's no way he'll get caught.

It's all because Xie Yuancheng is always so suspicious. Of course, I have to be careful too, otherwise, if I overhear something, and since this place is so spacious, I'll be discovered.

"My good disciple is the best. Come quickly once you've finished your business." The teacher winked at us and then led Lingwu to meet up with the others ahead. They had good memories, and the teacher had already memorized all the important parts.

"Give it to me~" I was just about to go and ask Xie Yuancheng for credit when he snatched the thing from my hand again. What a stingy lord.

"When I go to the capital this time, I must stop my master and make him transfer your abilities to me. You have no idea that I went out to take care of some business yesterday. I was afraid that you would take advantage of these things and hide in a corner and not come out."

"No way! I can't be sure the scroll can see things outside the manor. This is much better than dreaming. Give it to me quickly, I don't want to trade it!"

"No, keep it here, hmph!" Who says all men are magnanimous? Xie Yuancheng, who acts like a gentleman even when he sees it, is still narrow-minded, fighting with his own wife for something.

"I'm going to put it in the book so I can do things for you~" I was practically sitting upside down, but Xie Yuancheng still wouldn't give it to me.

"Are you doing this for me, or are you just secretly enjoying yourself? I think you've been itching for a beating since the day before yesterday. If I don't settle old scores with you properly, you'll always be bullying me."

"Yuancheng~ Little Chengcheng~ My husband, the Marquis~" I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned in to kiss him until my face was flushed, but he still wouldn't give it back to me.

"Waaah~ Xiao Chengcheng doesn't like me anymore, he might abandon me and find someone else." I pretended to cry and wiped away my tears. Xie Yuancheng hugged me tightly and leaned into his arms, his breathing unsteady.

"You're a bad girl, a really bad one. You know all my weaknesses, and when you can't win an argument or take a fight, you just pretend to be weak."

"I'm a weak woman, I need you to cherish me, you're so mean! You steal other people's things to play with~ Waaah~" I looked up at him again, my handkerchief half-covering my face.

"Are you sure you won't use it against me? You have to swear to me, or I'll make sure you see all three of your children for the rest of your life."

"How could I possibly take it out on you? I'm only thinking of you, okay? You have a useless wife who you have to pamper and spoil. She argues with you over the slightest disagreement. You're already exhausted, and now you have to put up with all this. It's not good at all. Now that's great, I can help you with some things, so you can rest easy from now on."

"That sounds really nice~" He didn't believe me. I found Xie Yuancheng's chin annoying, so I reached out and pinched it. Only then did he laugh and change his tune.

"Ying'er~ don't do this, it tickles." I was just teasing him, and Xie Yuancheng couldn't escape, so he tried to take off his clothes so I could tickle him properly.

"I won't let anyone else see this! You're mine!" I went to straighten his clothes. I'm greedy; I only want to see it myself. If others want to see it, they can dream on. Don't come in my way.

"Hehe~" Xie Yuancheng held my hand and then turned the horse around. I held onto his free hand and didn't let go. There was a sound in the pocket. I opened it and the kingfisher flew out.

"Chirp, chirp~" It's disliking me. I tell it to fly in quickly so it doesn't catch a cold. The kingfisher shakes its head at me, even rolling its eyes a little. I hope I'm seeing things; birds can roll their eyes?

"Chirp chirp~" The kingfisher chirped twice at me, then burrowed back into the bag to eat. A "dudu" sound came from inside, and I almost laughed when I heard it.

"Haha~ Even the little birds say we're too clingy. You're the only one who worries about all sorts of things. If I wanted to leave, why would I marry you and come to Linyang!"

"The way you talk makes it sound like you were so willing to marry me, you wouldn't even let me sleep in the bed, and you wouldn't ask me for help when you couldn't take your clothes off~"

"Yes, it's all my fault, Xiao Chengcheng, please forgive me. Where are you going? This road isn't the way back to the city."

"Stop interrupting, tell me quickly, what were you thinking about the day before yesterday and yesterday?"

I turned to look at him. Xie Yuancheng looked very serious. I beckoned to him with my finger, and when he leaned closer, I made up his favorite excuse. Sure enough, his face immediately turned red.

"There's no one here," Xie Yuancheng said softly. I reached out to him to rub my lower back. "It sounds like he's lying to me."

"No, you helped me realize what I've been thinking about these past two days, so I don't like being seen doing it."

"Yes~ but I have a way." I was about to exclaim when this bastard reached out when I wasn't paying attention. The kingfisher was a fickle bird and actually flew away.

The mountain path was difficult to walk on. I gripped his arm so tightly I almost twisted it off. Rubbing his pitiful waist and stomach, I would have kicked him if we weren't on the road.

"Ying'er~ my Ying'er~ I'm not angry with you anymore, and you're not allowed to overthink things~" Xie Yuancheng's clothes weren't even straightened; he deliberately slumped over, his body completely draped over my shoulders. I couldn't see the expression on his face, and I had to bear his weight. It was so sad~

"I'm so sleepy~" I hugged Xie Yuancheng's back and snuggled into his arms to sleep. I noticed that his clothes were still wrinkled, so I reached out to straighten them. "They'll be fine once they're straightened."

"We'll deal with it later. Go get some sleep, I'll wake you up when it's time."

"But I want to tidy it up for you~" I just started to take off his clothes and found them in a mess. I straightened his clothes and then hugged his waist to lean against him.

"Where are you going?" I yawned, hoping I wasn't going too far.

"There are still ten miles left, not far. Soft and cuddly Ying'er is the best; she seems harmless and knows she'll stay with me."

I nodded obediently; even a short nap would be nice. The road was indeed uneven; I woke up after a couple of bumps and jolted awake. Looking at the potholes under my feet, I realized that even a mountain road shouldn't be this steep.

"This road is so strange~" I looked up at Xie Yuancheng, and I kept staring at him until he said something.

"Ying'er, sleep a little longer. Almost no one comes here, otherwise I won't feel at ease."

"Wait, are you on the wrong road? We, uh, I mean, loosen your grip a little, I'll go check."

"Okay, I won't leave for now." Xie Yuancheng let me lean against him and even helped me open the book. I felt in my pocket, but the kingfisher hadn't flown back. Could it have gone to the mountains and had a good time, and then decided not to come back?

"Chirp chirp~" I heard its sound and saw the kingfisher fly by. I told Xie Yuancheng to turn around and go back, and turn left at the first fork in the road.

"Go back? But we don't have enough time."

“Just listen to me. This path is inconsistent, and, and not long ago.”
