I've found a way to tease Yu'er; I always make him choose between Xizhi and Suling. He doesn't know the names, he just wants the younger brother. Xie Yuancheng is propping himself up on his hands and watching us argue, and he even speaks up for us. It's amazing he can listen to such a ridiculous conversation.
The journey was safe; there were no oddballs or jinxes, so I was relieved not to encounter any strange people. As soon as we got off the carriage, Yu'er tried to run away, but I quickly grabbed him.
Li Ruowei and the others were at the door. It had only been a month since I last saw them, but Xi Zhi and Su Ling seemed different again. I thought it was just my imagination.
"Yu'er is here. He's grown up so much. He looks just like Yuan Cheng when he was little." Li Ruowei brought the children over. I had Yu'er stand in front. I don't know how he learned to be so unafraid of strangers in the manor.
