Chapter 349 Demanding Justice

They must have heard something, so all these villagers came to join in the fun.

Xie Yuancheng pulled me away directly. That petty guy, he's going to bring up the bracelet again.

“My little Chengcheng, this really isn’t my fault. The shopkeeper’s wife gave it to me, and she told me to keep it a secret.”

I told him that he still looked unhappy, and I was worried that he would get hurt because of me. He had just been wronged, and I didn't want him to get hurt again because of me.

"Stop trying to fool me." Xie Yuancheng helped me onto the horse and then rode away. As we passed the group of villagers, I saw the three girls who had just been rescued pointing the way for them.

They saw me too, and were about to speak when Xie Yuancheng walked past them and left. Anyway, with my master there, I wasn't worried about not being able to save the others.

Xie Yuancheng kept criticizing me the whole way, and I sat in front nodding, secretly smiling.

"Ying'er! How dare you laugh!" Xie Yuancheng pinched my face and looked at me. I reached out and put my arm around his waist.

"I'm just worried that you're being too petty, and that getting angry will harm your health."

"Don't give me that crap. Tell me now, what else are you hiding from me?"

"No, we've spent more time together than I dream about, so why would I hide anything from you?"

Seeing that he didn't believe me, I guessed that he was trying to control his emotions, so a tear rolled down his cheek, and with his pitiful look, Xie Yuancheng's expression changed.

"I didn't say anything about you, don't be sad." Xie Yuancheng leaned in and kissed my eyes. It's because I've spent so much time with him that I can look at him without any emotion.

"You're not allowed to yell at me anymore. I'm a girl, and even though I'm tall, I'm not very brave."

"Yes, sit down quickly, I'll explain the details to you when we get back."

The moment I threw the ball back, I knew Xie Yuancheng's expression had changed. He's always like this; I knew I was in for a rough time.

He went straight back to Linyang City. With people helping him with errands, he was able to leave without incident. The journey was uneventful, but once back at his residence, he began to make things difficult for her.

One minute they're forbidding this and that, and my two little darlings, I can hear them laughing, but I still can't go out to see them.

"Yuancheng~" I stayed in the room for a long time, but Xie Yuancheng was angry. I couldn't leave the room or his sight.

When he's happy, he'll bring Su Ling and Xi Zhi in for me to see, but all he does is look at them, touch their little faces, and hug them while they just stare at each other with wide eyes.

"It's getting late, go to sleep." Xie Yuancheng turned the pages of his book with a particularly artistic flair. I leaned on his shoulder; this matter was never going to end.

What will it take for you to forgive me?

"Ying'er did nothing wrong, so why should I forgive her?"

He smiled at me and went back to reading his book. I rested my head on his arm and started flirting with him. Xie Yuancheng finally couldn't sit still any longer and began his interrogation.

"Tell me, what good thing have you done?"

"No, what good things could I possibly do? I'm just a pitiful person hiding behind a well-behaved young man."

"You still won't admit it!" Xie Yuancheng's brows furrowed, and I quickly smoothed them out for him.

"I understand. From now on, I'll tell you everything I promise others, whether it's a big or small matter."

"Anything else?" Xie Yuancheng asked intently, reaching out to place his hand on my waist.

"I will respect you above all else and will listen to whatever you say."

I really regressed to the point of leaving myself no room for compromise, and he was happy about it, almost stamping his face with a seal saying it was mine alone.

"Ying'er~" Xie Yuancheng used to lean on me to sleep last time, but now he's become a little boy who can only fall asleep by leaning on me.

"I'm going to see Su Ling and the others tomorrow. They've been back for a few days, but they've just stayed inside and haven't gone out at all."

"No!" Xie Yuancheng disagreed, saying that my confinement had not been lifted and he would not let me out.

I immediately facepalmed and went to the innermost part of the room, refusing to argue with him. Xie Yuancheng, that shameless guy, actually dared to come closer.

"Get out! I'm under house arrest, I'm not seeing anyone!" I pulled back the covers and ignored everyone.

"Ying'er, I live here too. If you kick me out, who will warm your bed?"

"There's plenty!" I was hiding under the covers, just about to fall asleep, when Xie Yuancheng crawled in, looking fierce.

"Tell me, who were those people just now? Men and women? Are they married? You're getting bolder and bolder, doing things behind my back, and even letting others warm your bed!"

I snorted before looking at him, and told him all the names of the toys he had made for the little ones. Only then did he smile.

I was so blind. I should have stopped trying to win him over and made him suffer instead.

"Ying'er~ I'm tired today, I'll let you off the hook for now." Xie Yuancheng leaned against the side, it was still a bit cold outside with the wind blowing.

If he weren't still going through his tantrums, I wouldn't cover him with a blanket; I would definitely kick him in the face.

It was half a month later before I was able to leave my room. As soon as I stepped outside, I thought the sun was so beautiful. Xie Yuancheng still had the nerve to say that I was too weak and needed to rest in my room.

"What an insecure man," I muttered to myself, and he actually heard me.

"Who lacks confidence? Is Ying'er thinking about other people again?"

"No, I'm telling the truth. That person definitely knows." I heard Xi Zhi's giggling voice. I didn't bother arguing with him and went to check on the children.

I haven't seen them for a short time, but they seem to have grown taller. I touched Xizhi and Suling's little heads; the girls grow faster than the boys.

"Mommy~" It's so nice to have little ones; they come right up to me when they see me.

Yan'er went to Li Ruowei's place today. I heard she did something wrong and was being taken in for questioning.

I played with two little kids; their intelligence is so delicate, they can laugh for ages over the smallest things.

That night, I secretly played a trick on myself, deciding to stay by the little ones' bedtime so I wouldn't go into the room to see Xie Yuancheng's two-faced behavior.

I just covered them with their little blankets and held their soft little hands; it really melted my heart.

"Ying'er, you want to do something different again." That voice was so annoying, I turned around and pretended not to know.

"I know I was wrong, come back with me." Xie Yuancheng started to act pitiful, but I ignored him.

"Alright, there's a big bed over there, why don't we..." He was really going too far, so I pushed him out. I was about to close the door when he pulled me away. I looked back and saw the old lady closing the door and going inside to rest.

"You're so annoying!" I couldn't shake off his big hand, and I couldn't beat him, so I could only curse him a couple of times to vent my anger.

"I wanted to give you a surprise, but I don't need to now. Ying'er always surprises me!" Xie Yuancheng just wouldn't listen to what others said. I locked him out when I got back.

I had just finished getting ready to lie down when he climbed in through the window from the outside.

"Ying'er, you don't want me anymore? I'm so heartbroken." Xie Yuancheng cried beside me, but seeing his almost laughing expression, I simply ignored him.

"You were wrong about this, and you're still ignoring me. You're such a bad girl!"

He said, "Fine, I'll sleep upside down and not argue with him." Xie Yuancheng got impatient and tried to pull me away, but luckily I reacted quickly and moved to the inside to avoid him.
