The general arrived at the lady's place early in the morning for breakfast.
"The headmistress, huh? I've been talking to you for so long. Don't you remember what I said?"
Hearing Qi Jingxuan's cold words, Jiang Meng immediately knelt down, "I thought it was already the end of the year, so why not invite him in the spring?"
"You think you can control everything? Do you even respect me as your husband? Do you still think you're some high and mighty princess?"
Jiang Meng immediately became unhappy upon hearing these words and simply stood up.
"What pent-up anger did you get that you're taking it out on me first thing in the morning? Get your facts straight, I'm the legitimate daughter of the Duke of Jing's mansion, and you should be grateful I married into your general's household. You're crazy!"
Jiang Meng instantly flew into a rage. Because she had stood up with such force, she suddenly fainted after saying those words.
"Madam, Madam!"
Qi Jingxuan was completely bewildered. He had only asked a couple of casual questions. How did it make him faint? How was he supposed to survive in this backyard looking like this?
"Please call the military doctor."
Before long, the military doctor came and examined Jiang Mengyi for a while, and she had already woken up.

"Ziling, what are you standing there for? Go find a bag. This thing will be very useful."
Zi Ling was so frightened that she huddled together with several maids, unable to free her hands to look for the bag.
"Young lady, young lady, please don't! I don't know if it's poisonous. What if you get hurt? Quickly call the servants!"
"What's the big deal? Look at the way you guys are acting. You said you'd protect me, what a load of rubbish!"
Ruan Yumu was seen carrying a venomous snake as he walked towards the door, grabbing a bag as he went.
After working for most of the day, they finally caught most of the snakes in the courtyard and saw no more. Only then did the maids feel relieved.
