It was sad to think that she would have to be on her own in just a few days.
"And the beehive?"
As soon as Lu Qinglin spoke, he brought her back to reality and quickly took out a palm-sized honeycomb from behind him.
"My brother said this is delicious, but I've never eaten it before and don't know how to eat it, so I wanted to bring it back and ask you to help me make it."
I took the honeycomb. It was not even as big as my hand, but there was still a lot of white membrane on it, so there should be quite a few bee pupae inside.
"Go get a bowl."
Thinking about the delicious food in front of her, Su Tangxue cooperated and got a clean bowl.
Bee pupae are considered a rare delicacy in rural areas. When he was young, his father often took him to the mountains. Occasionally, when he saw them, he would pick them down and bring them home for a meal.
So for Lu Qinglin, this is not only a delicacy, but also a precious memory between him and his father.
Su Tangxue stood aside and saw Lu Qinglin skillfully peel off the white membrane and take out the yellow bee pupa inside.
Thinking it was something delicious, Su Tangxue got goosebumps all over her body when she saw it was a mollusk similar to an insect.
She shouldn't be so greedy and want to eat everything.
"You peel it, and I'll go get the fire."
Su Tangxue's expression was solemn. "Me?"
Lu Qinglin nodded.
Looking at the soft creatures in the bowl, Su Tangxue couldn't bring herself to peel them. "No, you peel them! I'll go light a fire."
Fearing that Lu Qinglin would go back on his word, Su Tangxue immediately fled to the kitchen, but ran out again after a while.
"Lu Qinglin, did you kill the chicken on the ground?"
Lu Qinglin nodded, "I saw it when I went up the mountain today, and I just beat it up."
Today he went to the mountain to carry firewood and heard a chicken crowing in the grass nearby. Thinking that he had not yet found meat and vegetables for tonight, he caught one and brought it home.
By the stove, Su Tangxue was puzzled by the low stove and all kinds of wood.
She had never cooked before, let alone used a wood stove, so this really put her in a difficult position.
Su Tangxuezi fumbled around the stove, trying to see if there were any matches or something, but she turned around and found nothing. Helplessly, she could only ask Lu Qinglin for help.
Lu Qinglin paused while peeling the bee pupa and took out a box of matches from his pocket.
Su Tangxue was a little surprised. "Lu Qinglin, there's no need to carry a box of matches with you, right?"
Knowing that he was misunderstood, Lu Qinglin blushed as he listened.
He had just wanted to make a fire and kill chickens, but when he heard Su Tangxue coming back, he put the matches in his pocket. He didn't remember until Su Tangxue asked him.
"No, I forgot about you coming back just now."
Of course Su Tangxue knew that he didn't mean it, but it was the first time she saw Lu Qinglin blushing, so she couldn't help but feel a little amused.
"All right then! I'll go back to making the fire."
She patted his shoulder, smiled meaningfully, then turned and went back to the kitchen.
After Su Tangxue arrived, Lu Qinglin secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
When Su Tangxue returned to the kitchen, she realized that she had forgotten to ask how to light the fire. She just looked at the handsome guy and saw his face blushing.
After hesitating in the kitchen for a while, Su Tangxue finally decided to figure it out on her own.
Isn’t it just making a fire?
She got it right away.
