Chapter 101 Going to the Rescue

When the text message reached Zhou Yexing's brain, he was still applying oil to the joints of the mecha. There was a trick to applying the oil. The oil used on the mecha joints was a special kind of oil that was both lubricating and durable. Just a small layer of oil film was enough for a mecha to use for a long time. The only drawback was that this special oil was very expensive, costing five million star coins per milliliter, which was only enough to wipe the arm of one mecha.

To coat the entire mech body with this special oil would cost at least 80 million star coins, so this special oil is only available for mechs of S-class and above.

Zhou Ye was so engrossed in brushing oil that he didn't notice the new text message sent to his Star Brain.

Although the Star Brain beeped twice on its own, it still didn't pique his interest. He could guess that it was Jin Shuo sending it for fun, since he was shameless and often did such things.

He continued to apply the oil diligently and patiently. If anyone had noticed, they might have seen that what stood before Jin Shuo was a fiery red, tail-shaped, nine-tailed fox-like double-S mech, majestic and imposing!

Red represents passion and exuberance, while the nine-tailed fox is a divine beast in ancient Chinese mythology that represents brightness and gentleness. The combination of the two is absolutely eye-catching and attracts attention!

The Twin S mech is a force to be reckoned with, but no one knows why it suddenly appeared here. Moreover, this model of mech is not available on the market and has never appeared before. Obviously, it is either a private collection of a mech pilot or a newly developed one that has not yet been shown to the public.

The answer leans towards the latter.

After the mecha was completed, Zhou Ye checked its various performance features. Once he confirmed that everything was in order, he stored it in his spatial buttons, which were strung together and hung around his neck like a pendant.

This was his idea when he was in school. He spent a long time working on the mecha, and it was the double S-class mecha that he put the most effort into. He poured all his heart and soul into it. Only today has this mecha, named 'Crimson Flame', been fully born.

Unfortunately, no one celebrated.

If only there could be a celebration banquet right now, preferably with Lin Yiran cooking herself. She's a great cook, and that would be worthy of his picky palate.

Thinking of this, he opened his Star Brain and clicked on Lin Yiran's Star Brain. There were no messages on it, but Jin Shuo had sent him three messages in a row. He clicked on them as if possessed.

"Help!! Zhou Ye!!"

"Oh no! Space pirates are here! They've hijacked the starship, and Lin Yiran and I are trapped!"

The accompanying image showed a group of people with their hands tied up, with several black gun barrels pointed at them from above. The image was clearly taken secretly.

Upon seeing this, Zhou Ye's expression hardened, and he felt a sense of panic.

Space pirates?

Oh no! They're after Lin Yiran!

Without saying a word, he released the newly completed mech and got into the pilot's seat. The fiery red mech pierced through the layers of protective shields of the Ninth Star System and, under everyone's gaze, leaped into space like a rocket launcher!

They sped towards the starship carrying Jin Shuo and the others.

The people below were utterly shocked.

"That was... was it a mecha?"

"Holy crap, a mech that can fly into space?! That means...???"

"2S mech?!?!"

"Wow, this is the first time I've ever seen a 2S mech! It's so beautiful! I'd heard people say before that a 2S mech can be used like a small starship, freely traversing space. I never thought it was true! Oh my god, I actually saw a 2S mech!"

On the ground, at the Supreme Command of the Ninth Star System Guard Station.

"Sir, a mech has broken through the protective shield of our Ninth Star System without authorization. Should we approve its arrest?" The man glanced at the information sent to him, paused for a rare moment, then pulled up the Federation's records of 2S mechs. He found that there was no such mech. After confirming the location where the mech was launched, he was shocked again. He immediately dialed Jin Meng's number and was told not to worry about it before he was completely relieved.

"It's alright, go do your thing," he said, then crossed his legs and continued smoking, completely ignoring the matters mentioned above.

*

Jin Shuo was still putting on a show. To make it seem more 'real', he had the masked 'thugs' opposite him change into second-hand space pirate costumes he'd salvaged from the planet Lop Nur, along with fake state-of-the-art assault rifles. The equipment was quite complete, making them look very convincing.

However, there were only the two of them as passengers on this starship, along with some bodyguards, who were all tied up and left on the ground.

Bored, Jin Shuo and the others turned their heads and saw that Lin Yiran was still tied up, leaning against the wall and almost asleep.

"Damn it, is Zhou Ye ever coming or not? I've been waiting for so long, I'm exhausted."

"Hey, I can't take it anymore, loosen the ropes for me, my hands are all swollen!"

Lin Yiran woke up with a start and looked over in a daze. Jin Shuo was twitching with annoyance, constantly shaking his wrist and complaining about why Zhou Ye hadn't arrived yet.

"I don't think he's planning to come. Forget it, let's go back and rest. We're not going to wait for him. What a heartless bastard."

Lin Yiran was still half asleep and hadn't even been untied when the cabin door suddenly flew far away under the immense force of gravity. Lin Yiran immediately snapped awake, opened her eyes wide, and saw a particularly beautiful fiery red mecha. The entire body of the mecha was a bright red, flamboyant and passionate.

Who is this?

It couldn't possibly be Zhou Ye; Lin still remembered that his mecha was tan.

Whose is this fiery red mecha in front of her? She looked at Jin Shuo and saw that Jin Shuo was stunned on the spot.

Lin Yiran reached out and patted Jin Shuo's calf, bringing him back to his senses. He looked at Lin Yiran on the ground in surprise and said, "2S mecha, Lin Yiran, is this your friend?"

Lin Yiran was bewildered: "I only have you two friends!"

"Also, why did you say this is a Class 2S mech?"

Jin Shuo looked at the space behind the mecha: "Only mecha of 2S level or above can travel in space and have flight capabilities equivalent to starships."

Jin Shuo had a bad feeling.

He and Lin Yiran stared blankly as the mecha looked around the cabin, then fixed its gaze on their faces and remained motionless.

It's obvious what's going on these days without even thinking.

Jin Shuo tried calling out, "Zhou... Zhou Ye?"

Are you Zhou Ye?

He never expected that Zhou Ye was actually a 2S mecha pilot. It couldn't be faked, because only a 2S-level mental strength could pilot a 2S-level mecha. The fact that the mecha could fly over on its own proved its level.

Jin Shuo never expected that a casual lie he told would uncover a huge secret.

Haha, he definitely wouldn't dare do it again!
