Chapter 65 Household Robots

After they had eaten and drunk their fill, Lin Fu and the others were about to leave when they opened the door and saw two people standing outside. One of them, a blond man, was craning his neck to look inside.

"I could smell your shop from far away, it smells so good! Come on, what did you make? Can I have a taste?" Jin Shuo followed the smell into the house, acting as if he were a guest, rummaging around to find the source of the aroma.

Lin Fu: "Hey little sister, is this your friend?" He then stepped aside to let Xiao Hui and Xiao Fang leave, asking cautiously.

Lin Yiran nodded at the person who came in, then looked outside and saw Zhou Ye leaning against the wall looking impatient, seemingly in a bad mood, while Jin Shuo, who came with him, looked to be in a great mood.

“Yes, this is my friend,” Lin Yiran replied, letting Lin Fu leave first. Lin Fu didn’t think much of it and left directly, leaving only Lin Yiran, Zhou Ye, and Jin Shuo in the shop.

Oh, right, and Senran on the second floor, but he can be ignored.

Lin Yiran asked, puzzled, "Why are you here?" She didn't recall that they didn't seem to have any regular interaction. However, she noticed that they were carrying quite a few things.

Jin Shuo looked around the shop, glancing at the remaining chicken and mushroom stew in the pot in the kitchen. He couldn't wait to grab a piece and try it. When he heard Lin Yiran say that, he blurted out, "Didn't you already admit that we're your friends? It's not wrong for us to come and join in the fun and congratulate our friend on opening a shop, is it?"

Lin Yiran understood. Before she could hear Zhou Ye speak, she heard Jin Shuo say, "Quick, quick, the food and soup in your pot smell so good! Give me a bowl! We're all friends, we came to see you out of kindness, you can't let us go hungry! Quick, get me a bowl! We can talk about anything else after we've eaten!"

Seeing Jin Shuo's impatient look, Lin Yiran sighed and obediently went to the kitchen to heat up the leftovers. However, seeing that they had brought so much fruit to visit her, she felt bad about making them eat leftovers, so Lin Yiran made them each a bowl of hot pot, grilled some lamb and beef skewers, stir-fried some garlic-braised bok choy, and reheated the remaining half pot of chicken and mushroom stew.

Afterwards, the prepared food was brought over. When it was brought over, Jin Shuo couldn't wait to take the bowl of spicy hot pot, grabbed a pair of chopsticks, and started eating!

Unfortunately, it was too hot. A single piece of green vegetable burned his teeth and made him wince, but he refused to put it down. He waited for it to cool down before swallowing it, and then sat there in a daze, unable to recover for a long time.

My tongue hasn't recovered yet, and now I can't taste anything when I eat other things.

They could only watch helplessly as Zhou Ye slowly picked up a skewer, gently put it in his mouth, and ate it very politely, as elegant as a child raised in an aristocratic family.

Not heroic at all!

Look at how they eat!

But I must say, he devoured the skewers pretty quickly! Jin Shuo quickly grabbed two skewers and held them tightly in his hand, afraid that Zhou Ye would only know how to eat the skewers and finish them all.

Zhou Ye ignored that idiot from beginning to end.

He ate his skewers slowly and leisurely, watching Lin Yiran busily bring out several dishes, and finally brought over a glass bottle. Inside the bottle were two yellowish-green things and some kind of unknown grass, and there were some bubbles in the glass bottle, which looked very refreshing.

Lin Yiran poured herself a glass of lemonade and then poured two more for them: "Try it, this is homemade lemonade, it tastes good and is quite thirst-quenching."

She had collected a lot of lemons in the Forest of Hope, but she had forgotten about them and hadn't had time to eat them. She only found the pile of lemons that had been forgotten in the corner when she was restocking the cold storage at night, so she made a big glass of lemonade to drink.

The food I ate this afternoon was a bit greasy, so drinking this is just right to cut through the grease.

Jin Shuo picked up the glass and gulped it down, his puzzled expression turning even more confused. After swallowing all the water, he exclaimed, "No, your cooking is amazing!" Then, with a clatter, he slammed the glass down in front of Lin Yiran: "Another glass, please!"

Lin Yiran: "Pour it yourself if you want to drink!" She wasn't going to indulge him.

Jin Shuo resigned himself to his fate and obediently poured water.

Zhou Ye also took a bite, but he wasn't as amazed as Jin Shuo. Instead, he always maintained a calm, indifferent, and detached demeanor.

After scanning around Lin Yiran's shop, he noticed that many things in the shop were still uncleaned, but Lin Yiran was already exhausted. So he suggested, "You can buy a few housekeeping robots and program them as waiters. That way, you won't have to do basic tasks like washing dishes, sweeping, taking out the trash, and organizing the warehouse yourself. You can also serve food, which can save a lot of labor costs."

Lin Yiran picked up a skewer of roasted lamb: "That's what I was thinking too. We definitely need to buy robots, otherwise, if we make the employees do all this work, they'll get exhausted and leave!" Even she herself was quite tired. This was Lin Yiran's initial plan. The store manager was in charge of people, and the employees were mainly responsible for preparing goods, cooking, and barbecuing, which all required controlling the heat. It wouldn't be convenient to use robots, so we hired employees.

"I'm thinking of going out first thing tomorrow morning to buy a few housekeeping robots. In the future, we can leave things like skewering meat, sweeping, washing pots and pans, cleaning, and so on to the robots. But cooking will still have to be done by real people. Robots can't control the heat and can't make the same taste."

Jin Shuo: "You're right. I've been to those restaurants run entirely by robots, and the food is made by robots that claim to be top-notch chefs. The taste... is simply... indescribable."

"It's not exactly bad, but it's still not very tasty!"

"What's the price range for those housekeeping robots?" Lin Yiran asked again.

Jin Shuo became interested because his family business included this. So, upon hearing Lin Yiran's words, he immediately became interested and prepared to explain: "That depends on what model you want. Like our newly launched T600 all-around domestic robot, it can do everything! There's nothing it can't do—fighting, self-defense, sleeping with you, crying with you, medical care, housekeeping..."

"Hey, wait, wait..." Lin Yiran interrupted him directly.

“I’m opening a shop, not hiring an ancestor. Why would I need something so good? The maintenance costs for such a high-end robot must be quite high, right?” Lin Yiran could come up with these thoughts without even thinking.

Zhou Ye added at the opportune moment: "The repair costs are not only high, but the price of this type of robot is also not low, at least one million star coins each."

Lin Yiran hummed twice as she bit into the meat skewer.

She glared at Jin Shuo with annoyance.
