Gray sky, gray water.
On the gray, turbid water surface, countless bitter trees that had been dead for who knows how many years were pointing crookedly at the sky, like countless gray dead people's fingers sticking into the ground.
On the endless grey water surface, there are hills and humms rising from time to time, messy bushes growing listlessly, and some snakes, insects, rats and ants sneaking around in the bushes and weeds, vividly performing the law of the jungle.
Faint rumbles of thunder rolled from high above, and the gray clouds weakly lowered some distance toward the ground. Thousands of thumb-sized raindrops first dripped hesitantly from the clouds, splashing thousands of tiny ripples on the water surface. Then a torrential rainstorm roared down, changing the color of the sky and the earth.
The howling wind swept across the sky, and several vultures with dirty feathers descended from the clouds, flapping their wings and landing on a hill in a mess. They jumped into their nests, stretched out their bare necks, and stared at the sky with evil eyes!
If it were possible, these ferocious guys would like to bite off a piece of the sky in one bite.
A low roar suddenly sounded, and several jackals with messy hair jumped out of the bushes and flew into the vultures' nest. The vultures flapped their wings and waved their sharp claws, tearing fiercely with the jackals.
Before the sudden war between heaven and earth could be decided, a giant black spider with green stripes the size of a water tank flew out from the bushes, and large pieces of white spider silk spurted out from its butt, covering the jackals and vultures underneath.
The highly poisonous spider silk corroded the hair of the jackals and vultures, making a constant "hissing" sound and emitting wisps of white smoke.
The green-striped spider shook its long legs and let out a sharp whistle towards the sky. The long whistle could be heard far away in the storm, and the snakes, insects, rats and ants on several nearby hills all curled up, not daring to make the slightest sound.
With a sound of "whoosh" breaking through the air, a wooden spear about ten feet long and as thick as an arm broke through the air and pierced through the head of the green-striped spider, nailing it to the ground. The body of the green-striped spider trembled violently, its body was still beating instinctively, but the life had already left this squirming body.
A dozen men with disheveled hair and rough faces, who were more than ten feet tall, paddled the raft and slowly and cautiously approached the small mound. They looked at the twitching big spider and the jackals and vultures that were unable to move in the vulture's nest with joy!
"Hey, hey hey!" The strong men laughed, they grasped the spears tightly in both hands, and jumped from the raft to the hill.
They carefully separated the bushes, watched the road cautiously, and used wooden spears to pick away the poisonous spider silk wrapped around the jackals and vultures. The strong men contentedly carried these huge trophies and stacked them neatly on the raft.
"Hey!" A sturdy man suddenly saw a flash of silver light in the corner of his eye, and he swung his spear fiercely, pointing it at the location of the silver light. More than a dozen sturdy men turned around and looked in the direction of the spear, and the soaked Rat Lord was seen by them.
Lord Rat looked at the group of burly men, blinked his eyes, then suddenly jumped up and kept squeaking at them.
The strong men looked at each other and walked towards Master Shu carefully.
In a deep pit behind Shu Ye, Chu Tian, who had dozens of broken bones and was in a deep coma, was lying in the sewage in a miserable state. The heavy rain was hitting him head on, and the sewage was about to cover his face.
"Hmm!" Several strong men muttered vaguely, and then one of them jumped into the deep pit, grabbed Chu Tian, and jumped up carrying him.
Lord Rat swiftly jumped onto Chu Tian's shoulder and bowed repeatedly to the group of strong men, with a very human smile on his face, a very flattering smile, and his four big white front teeth were quite eye-catching.
The strong men looked at Shu Ye and laughed. One big man stretched out his finger and gently tapped Shu Ye's head. They carried Chu Tian back to the raft together, and slowly paddled the raft away from the hill.
When they passed by several dead trees, they broke off some branches and inserted them on the raft. They spread out several bloody animal skins on the branches and barely made a tent to shelter Chu Tian from the wind and rain.
Lord Shu squatted on Chu Tian's chest, watching these big guys busying themselves, and finally sighed with relief: "Oh, what bad luck! Fortunately, these big guys look very honest and don't look like bad guys, otherwise it would be really bad luck!"
Grinding his teeth, Master Shu looked around a little worriedly: "Where did Shui Wuhen fall to? Tian Ge'er acted decisively. It would have been fine if he had killed him with that sword. If he was still alive, there is water everywhere. The environment is not much better than that in the Fallen Star Ocean!"
Shaking his tail, Rat Lord smiled bitterly: "What kind of hell is this place? All my abilities were suppressed and I was almost trapped by a few poisonous scorpions. Fortunately, I have a lot of small things on me, otherwise I would have really capsized in the ditch."
"But what kind of crappy place is this?" Grandpa Rat was at a loss, looking at the endless water all around him and the occasional hills and mounds that appeared above the water.
Gray sky, gray water, dead trees stuck in all directions on the water, and the equally gray and lifeless bushes and weeds on the hills and mountains. This is a depressing and dull place, and Rat Lord hates it very much.
The raft moved quickly on the water. Occasionally, when passing by some small hills and small hills, there would be some huge wild beasts standing by the water, staring fiercely at the people on the raft.
On several occasions, some big guys suddenly jumped up and tried to jump onto the raft to attack everyone.
However, these strong men were very careful to keep a distance between the raft and these small hills. These big guys plunged into the water, and after struggling wildly in the water for a while, they found that their swimming speed could not catch up with the raft, so they swam back in disappointment.
After moving forward for three or four hours, when it was getting dark, a flat area appeared on the water ahead.
This piece of flat land is about seven or eight miles long and five or six miles wide. It is surrounded by an earthen wall that is more than ten feet above the water surface and is covered with wooden fences.
On the flat ground there was a small forest of trees that were not very tall and lush. Near the forest there were some small fields planted with some ordinary vegetables that did not grow very well.
Next to the woods is a small village with walls made of earthen bricks and roofs made of thatched grass. It looks like it can accommodate two to three thousand people.
