Chapter 154 Mother and Daughter Reunited

After saying goodbye to the two children, Tang Jian left the Prince's Mansion. He and Lin Zao had already told the two children that morning that they could stay at the Prince's Mansion for a while before they would pick them up and take them back.

Although the two children didn't know why, they could sense the seriousness on their parents' faces, so they behaved themselves and didn't make a fuss.

Tang Jian was alright; he went to the Prince's Mansion every day to teach the two children martial arts, so he could still see them. But Lin Zao was very reluctant to part with them.

She felt an increasing loathing for the Yang family, and it seemed she needed to resolve the matter with them as soon as possible.

The couple had just told Aunt Ren and Ren Tianci that Hua Nanxing, the successor of the Great Medicine Valley, would be coming to the General's Mansion today, and that they would ask her to diagnose Ren Tianci.

Aunt Ren was so happy she cried. Ren Tianci was alright, though, as he knew medicine and was aware of his condition.

Whether it's good or bad, it won't affect him much. If he weren't afraid of worrying his mother, he would have refused.

Ever since she heard the news, Aunt Ren has been looking outside constantly, afraid of missing anything.

Fortunately, they didn't have to wait long before the butler came to report that the person had arrived and had been invited to wait in the main hall.

Tang Jian and his group then went to greet the guests.

As soon as she entered the main hall, Aunt Ren couldn't wait to look at the young woman sitting in the chair.

Just as she was about to speak, Aunt Ren caught a glimpse of someone behind the woman out of the corner of her eye, and her eyes widened immediately.

Shout "Qianqian!"

That person was none other than her daughter, Ren Qianqian, who had been sold by the prefect's wife!

The maid standing behind Hua Nanxing heard someone call her name, and the voice sounded so familiar. Countless possibilities flashed through her mind in an instant.

He froze in place, too afraid to move.

It's impossible, it must be my imagination. I kept telling myself this, but I couldn't help but hope, yet I didn't dare to turn around.

Then a hoarse male voice excitedly exclaimed, "Sister! It really is you!"

Although the voice had become hoarse and harsh, she could still recognize the familiar tone.

Ren Qianqian suddenly looked up in the direction of the person who came. There were several people standing at the door, but she still spotted her mother at a glance.

And there was that man wearing half a mask, staring at me with bloodshot eyes!

"Mother...eldest brother..."

Ren Qianqian stared at the two of them in disbelief, thinking she was dreaming. Her legs moved involuntarily as she ran towards them.

Aunt Ren couldn't help but run over and hug Ren Qianqian tightly. The mother and daughter embraced and cried bitterly.

Ren Tianci, who was standing nearby, strode over and hugged the two women, and the old woman burst into tears.

The Tang Jian couple, along with Tang's mother and Hua Nanxing, looked at each other in bewilderment.

Clearly, no one expected things to develop this way, or for such a coincidence to occur.

"Mother! Mother! You're not dead! Waaah... You're not dead!"

Ren Qianqian hugged her mother and cried uncontrollably, still thinking her mother was dead.

Because she had studied medicine with her father, she was coincidentally chosen by Hua Nanxing, who bought her as his personal maid and rescued her from the slave trader.

Originally, the group of slave traders were following the orders of the prefect's wife to sell her to the deep mountains to be a wife for the mountain people so they could have children.

If the young lady hadn't bought her, she would have been ready to die!

The young lady was kind-hearted and, knowing her situation, even took her to Luolin to find her parents.

When she returned home, she learned from her neighbors that her father had been beaten to death by the prefect on the day she was sold.

After burying her father, the mother left alone without taking anything with her.

The neighbor said that her mother looked desperate and wanted to die, and was afraid that she would do something foolish.
