Chapter 201 Strange Ox Horn

Lin Zao looked at the cow horn on the left and felt something was off; it didn't seem natural.

She took a few steps closer to take a better look.

"Madam, please be careful."

Tang Jian reached out and helped Lin Zao up. Although he didn't know what she wanted to see, the area around the bull's head was slippery, and she could easily fall if she wasn't careful.

Lin Zao led Tang Jian and carefully stood on the bull's head, squatting down to examine the bull's horn closely.

The right horn and the bull's head are integrated seamlessly, but the bottom of the left horn has a fine groove, as if it's stuck on top.

Lin Zao tried to reach up and pull, but there was no movement.

Could it be that she guessed wrong?

He took out another dagger from his spatial storage, scraped it into the crevice, inserted it about half a finger deep, and poked it, but there was no movement.

Seeing Lin Zao's actions, Tang Jian guessed that she must have discovered something.

"Does Madam think there's something wrong with this ox horn?"

Lin Zao: "I feel like this horn was pressed on by someone, but I can't pull it out. It's strange. Husband, take a look?"

Upon hearing this, Tang Jian helped Lin Zao to stand firmly on the cow's belly, then jumped onto the cow's head to check on her.

He didn't notice it at first, after all, the slit was so narrow that only a thin dagger could fit through it.

Tang Jian pushed the horn hard, but it didn't budge. He then pulled it upwards with all his might, but the horn still didn't move an inch.

Although the bull horn was as thick as Tang Jian's thigh, if it had really been pressed on, it shouldn't have been so hard to pull it out.

Tang Jian shook his head at Lin Zao, meaning that he didn't see anything wrong either.

Lin Zao frowned as if thinking, then suddenly her eyes lit up. Maybe this corner was twisted up?

Although she didn't know if this technology existed in ancient times, she really wanted to try it.

"Husband, try twisting it left or right?"

Tang Jian had an idea and, following Lin Zao's instructions, first turned it to the right.

He twisted it with all his might, and there was a 'snap' sound.

It actually moved!

Tang Jian looked up at Lin Zao in surprise. Lin Zao had also heard the voice and knew that she had guessed correctly.

He gestured for Tang Jian to continue.

Tang Jian continued to twist, and if he hadn't been strong, he might not have been able to turn it.

After twisting it once, the horn still wouldn't budge, but it suddenly became taller.

Tang Jian was very surprised.

Lin Zao raised an eyebrow, knowing the reason: the inside of this corner had a spiral groove, and it had to be twisted repeatedly to unscrew it.

Now Lin Zao was truly certain that the Heavenly Beetle Stone was related to the Celestial Master.

After all, apart from him, ancient people probably hadn't discovered the spiral buckle structure.

Tang Jian kept twisting, and it got easier as he went on.

They finally managed to twist the horn off.

Lin Zao leaned closer and craned her neck to look over.

All that could be seen was a small, half-sized spiral post at the corner position. This was a specially carved thread to allow the outer corner to be screwed on successfully.

Surprisingly, the center of this pillar is hollow.

Tang Jian placed the twisted-off corner on top of the other corner, then reached into the hollow space and probed it a couple of times.

It seemed like they had gotten hold of something; the depth was an arm's length, but thankfully there was enough space for them to put their hand inside.

Tang Jian took the item out directly. It was a sky-blue, gem-like object, about the size of an egg, which shone with a dazzling blue light when held up to the sun.

Lin Zao's eyes narrowed; it was an eighth-level zombie crystal core!
