Chapter 250 Spying in Secret

After everyone entered the house and sat down, and listened to Tian Bu'er's tearful account, Lin Zao finally understood what had happened.

She looked at the children with a mixture of amusement and exasperation.

Chen Wen and Ma Qingping were still somewhat at a loss, bowing their heads in repentance, while Hu Tou and Ya Ya looked at Lin Zao with adorable expressions, even giving her a cute smile.

Lin Zao helplessly reached out and tapped their foreheads twice.

Turning to Tian Bu'er, she sighed, "You've spoiled them too much. If there's anything wrong, you should tell them directly so they'll understand."

At first, the children were alright and didn't go too far. But when Tiger Head and Ya Ya saw that Uncle Tian always indulged them, they got out of control and did everything they had wanted to do before.

Unlike others, Tian Bu'er wouldn't tell them what was dangerous to do or what was too dirty to play with.

He was very lenient with them, only protecting them when they were in danger and encouraging them with a smile when they were playing in the mud. They loved Uncle Tian very much.

'Encouraging with a smile?'

If Tian Bu'er knew that Hu Tou and the others thought of him this way, he would probably cry.

His smile was clearly one of pain!

Tang Jian glanced at Tiger Head, which startled the somewhat smug Tiger Head so much that it shrank back.

My father's eyes are terrifying.

Tang Jian could tell at a glance that Hu Tou was the one who started this whole thing. Chen Wen and the other two were still a bit reserved, and since Hu Tou had invited them, they felt awkward refusing and could only go along with it.

As for Ya Ya, she's still just a little follower who likes to follow her brother around, and she doesn't think that much.

Tang Jian said in a cold voice, "When you get back tonight, each of you will write ten large characters. Except for Ya Ya, you will each be punished by squatting in a horse stance for half an hour."

Then, looking at Tian Bu'er, he said, "You'll squat here for two hours."

Lin Zao sighed, "Is this how you educate children?"

If we don't explain the problem to them clearly, the children won't know what they did wrong, and we just punish them directly. How can that be right?

However, Lin Zao did not refute Tang Jian. In any case, these punishments were beneficial to them, as long as the children were not hit.

As for reasoning with her, let her handle that.

Gather the children together, encourage them first, then point out the mistakes they made that day, and teach them how to be aware of safety hazards.

Seeing that their mother did not scold them, but instead gently reasoned with them, the children finally relaxed.

They even accepted the punishment Tang Jian had just given them.

Lin Zao instructed the maids and servants to take the children to tidy up their appearance before they went to practice calligraphy. Only then did Lin Zao look at Tang Jian.

"Husband, you can't just punish the children all the time; you have to reason with them first."

Tang Jian chuckled and replied, "What you say is true, my wife. I will remember it."

He wasn't really being unreasonable; he just felt that this division of labor between husband and wife was just right. From now on, he would play the bad cop, and his wife would play the good cop.

Lin Zao was relieved to see that he had agreed.

Then he looked at Tian Bu'er, who looked dejected.

"Don't overthink it. You didn't do anything wrong. It's just that Hu Tou and the others are still young and don't know their limits. Just remind them a little. Letting them do things on their own won't work."

Tian Bu'er then regained his confidence: "Thank you, Madam. I know what to do from now on."

"By the way, around noon today, two groups of people sneaked over here to spy, but they were caught by the guards. Would you like to interrogate them, General?"

Upon hearing this, Lin Zao already guessed who had sent them, and glanced at Tang Jian.

Tang Jian's eyes turned cold. Couldn't wait that long already?
