Chapter 362 Keeping in the Dark

Tang Jian told Lin Zao everything, and Lin Zao finally expressed her understanding.

She never expected such a big thing to happen before she left, which caught her off guard.

She's now considering whether to postpone her departure for a few days. She's not worried about the adults, but mainly about the children.

After all, the children had just encountered such a thing, and she was really worried about leaving them.

Having made up her mind, Lin Zao told Tang Jian about her idea.

Tang Jian was naturally very happy that his wife wanted to stay a few more days before leaving.

Although everyone has to leave eventually, it's better to postpone it for a few days if possible.

So, when they had breakfast the next day, Lin Zao didn't mention leaving, and Tang's mother looked at Lin Zao several times.

After all, Lin Zao had told her half a month ago that she was going back to her hometown, Datong Town, to retrieve the belongings left to her by her mother.

Since it was such a valuable keepsake, Tang's mother naturally couldn't stop her. Although she was worried that Lin Zao might not be safe going back alone, it was Lin Zao who had helped them get to Ganzhou safely in the first place.

Back then, Lin Zao could bring five people to Ganzhou, so it should have been even easier for her to travel back and forth by herself.

Tang's mother was well aware of Lin Zao's abilities.

If Lin Zao were to go to the battlefield, she might worry about her as much as she would worry about her son. But just a trip to Datong Town puts her at ease.

So even though she was worried, she agreed after Lin Zao reassured her a few times.

But didn't we agree to leave today? Why did you change your mind?

Tang's mother wondered: Did Zao Niang plan to leave without telling the children? Or did she not plan to go to Datong Town at all?

Lin Zao made the decision late last night, but hasn't told Tang's mother yet, so it's normal for Tang's mother to be curious.

Seeing Tang's mother's gaze frequently fixed on her, Lin Zao glanced at the children around her, all of whom were eating with their heads down. She then looked back at Tang's mother and mouthed that they would set off again in a few days.

Tang's mother understood Lin Zao's meaning, and then turned her gaze away to continue having dinner with her children and grandchildren.

After finishing his meal, Tang Jian left to get busy with his work, as he needed to follow up on the human traffickers.

Lin Zao then prepared to send Hu Tou and Ya Ya to the Prince's Mansion for classes.

After all, the New Year was over, and the teachers were about to start teaching again, so the students naturally had to continue working.

Even the tutor invited by the General's Mansion to teach Chen Wen and the others resumed his teaching today.

When Lin Zao returned to the General's Mansion, she told Tang's mother about her decision from the previous night. Tang's mother agreed that Lin Zao's idea was correct.

After all, Tang Jian has been very busy these past few days, and if Lin Zao leaves again, there will be no one to keep the children occupied.

Chen Wen and Ma Qingping are not a worry, as they are not clingy. It's only Hu Tou and Ya Ya who, if they really make a fuss, that even Tang Jian might not be able to handle, let alone this old woman.

Of course, if Tang Jian were determined to discipline them, he could still control them; it just depends on whether he was willing to do so.

Therefore, Tang's mother approved of Lin Zao's approach; otherwise, if neither of them were around, she wouldn't be able to control Hu Tou and Ya Ya.

So the group reached an agreement, while the children remained completely unaware, still striving for the new semester and the homework assigned by their teacher.

Afterwards, Tang Jian disappeared again for two days, before finally returning to the General's Mansion, travel-worn and exhausted.

Tell Lin Zao that the human trafficker issue has been temporarily resolved.

That's right, only temporarily.
