Upon seeing Lin Zao and the others enter, Tang Jian's dark eyes first looked at her, then turned to Doctor Zhang behind her, clearly wondering who this person was.
Tang's mother looked at Doctor Zhang with a look of surprise and joy. It was thanks to Doctor Zhang's prescription that her internal injuries recovered so quickly!
"Doctor! Aren't you in Luolin?"
Zhang Chuanbai glanced at Lin Zao and smiled at Tang's mother, saying:
"It's a long story! In short, I will stay in Ganzhou from now on. If the old lady has any headaches or fevers, she can send someone to find me."
"Mother, I met Doctor Zhang on the road and asked him to come back and take a look at my husband. Why don't we go in and let him rest for a bit?"
Tang Jian recognized his mother and wife and overheard their conversation, guessing that this Dr. Zhang must be the doctor his mother had mentioned who had treated her.
Nodding slightly in thanks, she said, "Thank you so much, Dr. Zhang! Please come in!"
"Look at me, I'm so happy I've gone mad! Doctor, please come in!" Tang's mother added.
Lin Zao quickly called Aunt Ren over to help carry Tang's mother and Tang Jian, chairs and all, inside.
Seeing that Tang Jian seemed to be injured in the chest, Doctor Zhang had him lie on the couch for a thorough examination and took his pulse.
Only after the diagnosis was completed did he say:
"This young man's wound has been treated very well. I'm sure you've consulted a renowned doctor. There's nothing I can do to help. However, we could replace the topical medication with hemostatic powder. It's more effective and won't leave any long-term effects."
"Thank you so much, Dr. Zhang! I can finally rest easy now!"
Tang's mother didn't distrust the doctors at the Prince's mansion, but since both doctors said her son was fine, it meant he was truly fine, not just offering words of comfort.
"Dr. Zhang, could you please take another look at my mother's legs?"
Since waking up, Tang Jian has been worried about his mother's leg. Although his mother told him the doctor's diagnosis, he couldn't feel at ease until he actually heard what the doctor said.
Dr. Zhang nodded and examined Tang's mother's legs again. He found that the broken bone in her left leg had almost healed, and her right leg showed no signs of atrophy. He suspected that she often massaged and unblocked her meridians.
"The old lady's left leg is basically fine now. She can try to walk a few steps with a cane, but she shouldn't overexert herself."
Now that everything is getting better, Tang Jian can finally rest assured. Since his mother and the others fled the famine, Lin Zao has been supporting the family all by herself and hasn't had a proper rest.
Now that the family has finally managed to get together, he is injured and she, a woman, has to run around taking care of everything.
He felt somewhat discouraged that he couldn't support her and was eager for his health to recover soon so that his family and children could rely on him.
Seeing that Doctor Zhang had finished his examination and seemed about to leave, Lin Zao quickly said:
"Mom, I've brought the wheelchair back. With it, it will be very convenient for you to go wherever you want, and you won't need anyone to help you anymore."
Sure enough, Dr. Zhang looked over with interest, wanting to see what kind of wheelchair it was and how it could be so powerful!
Even Tang Jian looked curiously at the pile of odds and ends that Lin Zao had just brought back.
Tang's mother had heard Lin Zao mention before that he was going to make her a wheelchair, and could only guess that it was something like a chair; she didn't know anything else.
"It's just parts now, it needs to be put together. Wait for me to assemble it!"
As Lin Zao spoke, she began to quickly assemble the parts.
