Tiger Head stopped struggling at this point. Although he was being held in Tang Jian's arms, the couple were sitting together.
So, by tilting his upper body slightly, Hu could reach out and hug Lin Zao.
Lin Zao couldn't resist kissing Ya Ya a few times, and of course, she didn't forget Hu Tou either, turning around and kissing his forehead a few times as well.
The longing in her eyes became tangible when she saw her two children.
"Mother, please don't leave us again, okay?"
Tiger Head clung to Lin Zao's arm, acting coquettishly.
Lin Zao suppressed a pang of sadness in her heart, blinked hard, and patted Hu Tou's little head.
"Mother doesn't want to leave you either, but when you grow up, you will leave your mother too."
"I would never do that!" Tiger Head denied without even thinking.
"I don't know either!" Ya Ya chimed in.
Tang Jian raised an eyebrow and couldn't help but reach out and pinch Tiger Head's chubby cheeks.
"Who said they wanted to surpass their father and become a chivalrous, upright, and people-protecting hero?"
"Didn't you say you wanted to go to the battlefield with me? If you can't leave your mother, you should give up now."
Tang Jian deliberately shook his head with a sigh, as if he were very disappointed.
Tiger Head hesitated for a moment, glancing at his mother and then at his father, wanting to say that this was not right, but not knowing how to refute his father's words.
"Brother is going to fight, so I can stay home with Mother. Don't worry, brother," Ya Ya happily interjected.
Tiger Head felt as if he had been stabbed again. Was this still his most caring little sister?
Looking at the two children, Lin Zao and Tang Jian couldn't help but laugh, and the bitterness that had just welled up inside them vanished instantly.
Only then did the two children belatedly look at their parents and realize that they had been laughed at.
Tiger Head roared in anger and suddenly rammed into Tang Jian's arms, causing Tang Jian to groan.
"Father, you're so mean! You lied to me again!"
The family's happy laughter carried far from the carriage.
When they returned to the general's mansion, sure enough, there were several short figures standing at the entrance.
It was Chen Wen and Ma Qingping, along with the He siblings.
After they all got off the carriage, the group happily ran to Lin Zao.
"Godmother, you're finally back."
"Aunt Lin, you're back."
Lin Zao nodded at the children with a smile on her face.
“You’ve all grown up and become sensible. What are you all standing there for? Let’s go inside and talk.”
The group then began to walk inside.
When they arrived at the hall, Tang's mother was already waiting inside.
Lin Zao briefly told the children about the sights and interesting things she had seen and heard along the way, which made the children exclaim in amazement and happy at the same time.
Because of the rush of things and the fact that she had been traveling for a month without speaking, Lin Zao didn't bring any gifts for the children when she returned this time, and she felt a little apologetic.
So all they could do was take out some modern snacks and school supplies from their storage space for them.
Of course, the items have all been removed from their outer packaging, so at least it won't be that obvious.
After finally calming the children down, Lin Zao and Tang Jian went to the study together, and of course, they also invited Tian Bu'er and Sun Ding.
Lin Zao briefly explained the matter of Yue Wuyan to Sun and Tian.
"This person is exceptionally skilled and likely has a significant background, which is why I didn't bring him back to avoid causing any trouble."
After hearing the story, Tian Bu'er understood what had happened and became increasingly guilty. He had actually thought his wife had changed her mind! He had even complained to the general...
As if to reflect his current state of mind, Tian Bu'er suddenly felt a cold gaze staring at him.
I looked up.
Oh, it's our own general.
