Soon, a four-wheeled chair appeared in Lin Zao's hands; it turned out to be a wheelchair!
The people who had been watching Lin Zao assemble the wheelchair looked at him with sudden realization. The wheelchair Lin Zao made was relatively simple, and everyone could understand it at a glance, unlike the sophisticated wheelchairs of modern times.
The two front wheels of the wheelchair are relatively small and mainly serve as a support, while the two rear wheels are larger and make it easier for the user to push it by hand. There are also two handles on the back of the chair, so it can be pushed around anywhere.
Tang's mother was overjoyed. With this wheelchair, she wouldn't have to be carried everywhere anymore! Actually, she had been carried or held around for everything lately, and she had grown somewhat disgusted with herself, worried that she would continue to be a burden to Lin Zao and the others.
She just wanted to find her son, to know if he was still alive, and to watch her two grandchildren grow up. She couldn't bear to leave them!
If it weren't for Ren Mei's help, she probably wouldn't have made it this far.
"Zao Niang, quickly help me sit down and try it out!"
Tang's mother couldn't wait to experience it, so Lin Zao and Doctor Zhang helped her slowly sit in the wheelchair.
Lin Zao gently explained to her how to operate the wheelchair. Lin's mother nodded and, following Lin Zao's instructions, slowly pushed the wheels at the back of the wheelchair, which then began to move forward.
"They're gone, they're gone, they're really gone!"
Tang's mother was as excited as a child, sometimes pushing the wheelchair forward, sometimes backward, and sometimes turning and circling.
Seeing Tang's mother's happy expression, Lin Zao, who was standing to the side, couldn't help but smile as well.
Tang Jian gazed at Lin Zao's warm smile, unable to look away for a long time, as if he had deeply imprinted her in his heart. His whole body felt warm and cozy, as if he were soaking in a hot spring.
"Thank you!" he uttered silently.
Lin Zao had actually sensed Tang Jian's gaze long ago, but she had refrained from turning to look at him. However, even a blockhead would find it unbearable for him to keep staring at her like that.
She could only helplessly look back, just in time to see the slight twitch of his lips, and subconsciously asked:
"What did you say?" Lin Zao thought she hadn't heard clearly.
Tang Jian, seeing that Lin Zao had noticed him, was not embarrassed and looked straight into Lin Zao's eyes.
"I mean, thank you for doing so much for my mother!"
Lin Zao blushed slightly and turned back to look at Tang's mother, ignoring him.
Upon seeing this, Tang Jian slightly curled the corners of his mouth, and his smiling eyes also looked at Tang's mother.
By the time Tang's mother finally calmed down and stopped being excited, quite a while had passed.
"Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Madam Tang's ability to come up with such a method is truly remarkable!"
Dr. Zhang clapped his hands in praise, saying that people with mobility issues could have such a wheelchair in the future, and he wondered how many people it would bring hope to!
"Dr. Zhang, you're too kind. Actually, this wasn't my idea; I just saw it in a book and picked up someone else's ideas! You don't deserve such praise!"
Lin Zao dared not take credit, mainly because she was born in a good era and her thinking was more advanced than theirs.
"This wheelchair is very useful. It can be helpful for someone as seriously injured as Mr. Tang. Mrs. Tang has done another good deed!"
Dr. Zhang didn't care whether Lin Zao came up with the idea herself or saw it elsewhere; as long as she did it, her contribution was the greatest.
Lin Zao looked at Tang Jian lying on the couch and thought about it. She realized that they should indeed make another one.
