Chapter 59 Nine burly men stared at her

Seeing their performance, Lin Zao herself wasn't worried at all, since she had already considered the consequences before deciding to bring it out.

"I···"

"The paintbrushes were of course bought in my hometown, Datong Town!"

Before Lin Zao could speak, Tang's mother interrupted her.

"Ya Ya, do you still remember that we came here from a very far place? Do you remember the things your mother gave you, which we brought from our hometown?"

Ya Ya had no idea that the adults would have a series of psychological reactions because of her words, and her attention was quickly diverted by Tang's mother.

Tiger Head nodded seriously upon hearing Tang's mother's words.

"Grandma, I remember it—it was a huge black box!"

Tang's mother's expression returned to normal. She glanced at Lin Zao and said casually,

"Eat quickly, or it'll get cold! This braised chicken is really delicious! You guys should try it."

Seeing this, Lin Zao stopped trying to explain and started eating as Tang's mother gestured.

Tang Jian pondered for a moment, as if a thought flashed through his mind.

After the group finished eating and rested for a while, Tiger Head took them to a lesson. After the lesson, he put the two children to sleep, and it was already late at night.

Tang Jian and Lin Zao were still waiting for news from Sun Ding. Seeing that it was late, they advised Tang's mother to go and rest first, and not to wait with them.

Tang's mother was old and in poor health, and she really couldn't bear it any longer, so she agreed.

"If there's any news, just remember to have someone send me a message."

Just before dawn, Sun Ding finally sent someone back with a message!

"Reporting to the General, Captain Sun has brought everyone back safely! The adults and children are all unharmed, just a little shaken. Captain Sun and his men are slowly returning by carriage. He sent me ahead to deliver the message!"

"Okay! Thank you for your hard work. You can rest here tonight!"

Tang Jian was finally relieved and could finally give Han Qingyuan an explanation!

Lin Zao also breathed a sigh of relief.

"My wife, it's so late, you should go to sleep. Don't wait for me, I'll just go and tell Qingyuan!"

Lin Zao nodded and went back to her room; she was simply too tired.

When Lin Zao woke up, she realized it was almost noon. The two children must have gotten up and gone to school on their own in the morning, and she hadn't even been woken up.

After getting ready and going outside, I saw a lively scene in the hall and heard several unfamiliar voices.

"General, when are you coming back to camp? Your men all miss you, hehe!"

"You little brat, you want the general's fist, don't you! I want to relax for a few more days!"

"Oh? It seems you've been slacking off a lot lately. Looks like I need to get you back on your feet!"

Tang Jian's casual voice.

"No! General, please spare me!"

"Hahaha, let's see if you still dare to be arrogant in front of the general! General, you have to teach this kid a lesson!"

This is Tian Bu'er's voice.

Lin Zao paused for a moment before continuing inside. He saw Tang Jian sitting in the main seat, with nine tall, burly men standing below him, all dressed in military uniforms, chatting casually, some sitting and some standing. Sun Ding and Tian Bu'er were among them.

Tang Jian first saw Lin Zao appear at the door and said to her with a smile:

"You've come!"

Upon seeing Lin Zao, Tian Bu'er immediately shouted loudly.

"Everyone, come and greet our General's wife! From now on, if you need anything, you can ask the General's wife, and she'll definitely help!"

Everyone present stared at Lin Zao.
