Tang Jian smiled and patted the two children, then glanced at Sun Ding and Tian Bu'er.
The two men immediately got up and dragged Yang Tianba out.
Yang Tianba immediately screamed loudly, trying to attract attention:
"General, spare my life! I truly did not mean to offend you. You cannot kill me without even knowing the facts!"
All that remained were the restaurant owner at the entrance and the two servants left behind by Yang Tianba.
The two servants exchanged a glance, quickly knelt down and kowtowed to Tang Jian, then hurriedly got up and chased after him.
The restaurant owner looked at Tang Jian nervously: "It's all my fault for not stopping that young master Yang. Please forgive me, General!"
"This is none of your business, you can go now!"
"Yes, yes! I won't disturb you esteemed guests any longer!"
After everyone had left, Tang Jian spoke, looking at Lin Zao with a smile in his eyes.
"Alright, now it's quiet, and our family can finally have a peaceful meal!"
"Is this the same bully Yang who kidnapped my sister-in-law? Where did you send her?"
Lin Zao knew that when Sun Ding and the others went to rescue Li Xiaotao, Yang Tianba had escaped.
"I've had Sun Ding and the others send him to the military camp outside the city, and I'm letting Qing Yuan handle it personally! As for whether he lives or dies, that's up to fate!"
"What if the Yang family comes to demand our people back?"
"Don't worry, I have a way to handle them when they arrive!"
A calculating glint flashed in Tang Jian's eyes.
"Come on, let's eat it while it's hot!"
The family finished their meal happily, but before they could rest for a while, Sun Ding returned with Tian Bu'er.
"You're back so soon?" Tang Jian raised an eyebrow.
"Reporting to the general, I've taken him to the brothers at the rendezvous point in the city. I've told them to take him there, and I'll come to protect you!"
Sun Ding was worried that if people from the Yang family came, the general would not be able to handle it alone since he had not yet recovered.
So they quickly brought Tian Bu'er back.
"Alright, order a few more dishes, you guys eat first and then we'll talk!"
Despite the unexpected incident involving Yang Tianba, it did not dampen Lin Zao and her two children's enthusiasm for continuing their shopping trip in the afternoon.
"Put these things back to the carriage first, so they won't be difficult to carry!"
Tang Jian looked at Lin Zao and the two children with a look of indulgence, but it was Sun Ding and Tian Bu'er who were hurt.
By the time they finished their shopping and returned home, it was almost dark.
Today was the happiest day for Hu Tou and Ya Ya!
Not only did I spend a day with my favorite parents, but I also bought them lots and lots of things they liked!
Make sure to tell Xiaobao when you go to class tomorrow!
We also want to share their new purchases with him!
As soon as the group entered, Aunt Ren hurriedly came over and handed an invitation to Lin Zao.
"Madam! This is an invitation sent by the Old Madam of the Yang State Duke's Mansion this afternoon!"
Lin Zao reached out and took it, but didn't open it right away.
Tang Jian coldly rebuked, "So you can't sit still anymore? The Yang State Duke's Mansion is truly getting worse year by year!"
"I'd like to have a go!"
The two looked at each other and smiled.
The invitation stated that Mr. and Mrs. Tang Jian were invited to attend a flower-viewing banquet at the Yang residence at Chenshi (7-9 AM) tomorrow.

the next day
The two of them slowly packed up, including some flashy but impractical items as a gift, before Sun Ding and the others drove the carriage to the Yang residence.
When I was led around the Yang family mansion by the servants, I saw maids and servants carrying food and wine, frequently moving through the flower-filled garden.
The elegantly dressed ladies stood in groups of three or five in a corner of the garden, admiring the flowers or chatting.
Lin Zao was somewhat surprised. The Yang family's luxury was in no way inferior to that of the Prince's Mansion. Looking at the various precious flowers and trees in the garden, they were probably all rare and exquisite specimens.
This is just an ancestral home, yet they dare to be so extravagant.
