When Lin Zao found Tang's mother, Tang's mother was listening with great interest to the tenants on the estate describing how the crops were growing.
Seeing Lin Zao approaching, Tang's mother quickly waved to her.
"Is everything settled?"
Lin Zao nodded, "It's been resolved, Mother."
Then Lin Zao turned to look at the radish seedlings in the field, which had already grown to about half a meter tall.
It seems these tenants are all very dedicated.
Tang's mother also praised from the side: "These people take such good care of them, it will surely be another bumper harvest."
Seeing so much grain and vegetables, Tang's mother felt extremely safe.
To be honest, this was her first time visiting her family's estate.
This was the first time I had ever seen so many in person, and it felt different from when Lin Zao brought them home before.
There had been good harvests before, and Lin Zao would bring back a lot every time she went out. She happened to see it a few times.
The joy I felt at that moment goes without saying.
What gives her confidence as a peasant woman?
Having food gives us confidence!
It wasn't that she didn't want to come to the estate, but she had difficulty moving around and didn't want to trouble her son and daughter-in-law.
Therefore, she never took the initiative to ask to come to the estate to see the grains and vegetables.
Besides, the young couple are both very busy, and she doesn't want to worry them about such a small matter. Now that she's in heaven, what difference does it make whether she comes out or not?
Therefore, when she saw the endless fields and the lush greenery, the thought that all of this belonged to her family filled her with immense awe.
There were just too many people around, and she didn't dare to appear naive or unworldly, so she didn't burst into tears of joy on the spot.
It would be bad if the General's Mansion lost face, so she could only suppress her excitement and joy. Apart from being a little stiff on the surface, she didn't give anyone a sense of unease.
Even Lin Zao didn't notice Tang's mother's inner thoughts. Seeing that Tang's mother seemed somewhat reluctant to part with the crops, she spoke up:
"If Mother likes it here, we'll come more often in the future. If you have time during the harvest season, we'll come together."
Sure enough, Tang's mother looked at Lin Zao with a happy expression.
"Can Mother come too? But won't that be too much trouble..."
Lin Zao now seemed to have a better understanding of Tang's mother's true thoughts.
I realized that Tang's mother still had some concerns about her legs. Thinking about it carefully, it seemed that Tang's mother rarely left the General's Mansion.
She spent most of her time inside the General's Mansion; she used to think that Tang's mother didn't like going out.
Thinking about it, it's true that she doesn't like socializing outside, but if it's something else, Tang's mother probably really wants to.
Having thought it through, Lin Zao felt a pang of guilt.
Tang's mother had always appeared very content with them, always seeming happy, which caused her to overlook these things, which was really wrong of her.
Seeing the expectant look in Tang's mother's eyes, Lin Zao quickly said:
"What are you saying, Mother? There's no trouble at all. You can come whenever you want. Besides, there are so many guards in the manor, it's very convenient for you to go wherever you want."
"If you get bored at home in the future, just take Aunt Ren and the guards with you when you go out."
Seeing that Lin Zao agreed, Tang's mother finally felt relieved.
She's getting old now and doesn't really like going out anymore; she just wants to come to the estate to see more of the place.
After all, she had farmed for so many years, and seeing these fields and crops finally filled her heart with satisfaction.
