Chapter 15 A bunch of babies

The children were all healthy and plump. Some were fast asleep, while others would occasionally kick their legs or nibble on their hands. Their little hands and feet were as slender as lotus root nodes; they couldn't be cuter.

If you were strolling around the neighborhood on a normal day, everyone would definitely go up and play with these adorable kids. But the thought of what would happen to these adorable kids is unbearable! What's wrong with these kids' parents? Why would they run out in the middle of the night?

What a sin!!

It's heartbreaking, but everyone is actually in a difficult position. Donating things was easy before, but now it's about raising a living person, which is not something you can just take on lightly.

"This... the children at home are getting smaller, and I'm worried about their milk powder. I really can't support another one..."

"What a sin! I never thought I would have to worry about not being able to support my children in this life."

"There are so many babies now, and this milk powder is definitely not enough. I don't know if there is any other solution."

"Online shopping is also not possible. The total cash for the whole store is less than 15 yuan. Even if I want to shop online, I can't."

"My electricity bill is still over 70,000. I can't even use anything except the refrigerator. I don't know what this benefit is for. I even have to calculate the water bill for going to the bathroom, and I don't know when it will stop. I'm telling you, I need to buy milk powder. If I can afford it, I'd really like to raise a child."

"Although you can feed it with other things, it's definitely not good for feeding. If something really happens... it's really hard to get over it psychologically."

"That is to say, it's not that we don't want to raise children, but simply because we can't do it or don't dare to do it."

This statement reflects the sentiments of most people: if possible, everyone would certainly be willing to help. However, the current environment and conditions... don't really allow for that.

It is certainly no problem for everyone to feed several adults in a short period of time, because adults can take care of themselves and are not so picky about food.

But these kids are different...

They need to be treated with great patience, but even if you use 100% of your patience, a little carelessness may cause a huge accident.

So they are like powder kegs, and most people don't dare to try to scam them.

This was actually within Wang Cuiping's expectations. She said, "I have two proposals now. You can discuss them, or you can simply vote."

Everyone fell silent, wanting to hear what she had to say first.

"There are two options: individual and collective."

This was a method she had come up with based on past research and online feedback. Otherwise, with so little time... she really wouldn't have been able to handle it. Thankfully, the internet still existed after her time travel; otherwise, even if she wanted to ask, she wouldn't have been able to get other people's opinions.

Someone asked, "What is a collective? What is an individual?"

Wang Cuiping said: "Let's talk about individuals first. The easiest way to understand this is that a capable individual or family directly raises a child for a long time. I think everyone can understand this."

Everyone nodded. This was difficult, too difficult. Otherwise, someone would have taken the child home directly, and we wouldn't be discussing this now.

"What about the collective?" Everyone had their own theories, but they didn't know exactly how it would be implemented. That was the point everyone was most concerned about, as they expected similar methods to be employed later. Having all traveled through time, they'd all read the news and read related reports, and just from imagining it, they could come up with a multitude of options.

"There are two types of collective methods: one is rotation and the other is fixed." Wang Cuiping actually felt from the beginning that this possibility would be greater, because most people would find it easier to accept shared responsibility.

"The so-called rotation is to let the children eat at different homes. One family raises them for a few days, and another family raises them for a few days."

So someone asked: "How does the fixed method work?"
