Everyone knows the enormous risk of losing a limb. Even waiting for a replacement can be incredibly long and expensive, so if this were possible in the real world, it would be like providing a lifeline for every ordinary person. It would also be a significant aid to those with disabilities, allowing them to easily stand up again. This is something everyone would absolutely support, and I believe some specialized departments are certainly working on related contingency plans. It's just unclear how complete these plans will be, and almost everyone is keeping a close eye on this.
