Chapter 210 The Thief Cries "Stop Thief!"

The hotel survivors slowly gathered in the hotel lobby.

Before the apocalypse, the lobby was a magnificent and opulent design, but after the apocalypse, it appeared gray and gloomy.

However, for the survivors, this is already a decent refuge.

Zombies become exceptionally aggressive at night, and if they were to fight them alone outside, they wouldn't even know how they died. Now that they're gathered together, at least they can look out for each other.

Many people even took the initiative to greet Li Chu.

Those who were usually in contact with him came over to say a few words to him privately: "Li Chu, it's a good thing you explained the directions on the walkie-talkie, otherwise this place would have been really hard to find."

Although the hotel is a landmark building in Y City, many people are a bit lost without electronic navigation.

If Li Chu and the others heard this, they would feel really awkward.

But they couldn't say much.

Who knows if what's in front of you is a person or a ghost?

Li Chu received crucial information from the system but didn't know how to tell Zhang Run and the others.

She never intended to reveal anything about the system.

If that's the case, then there needs to be a proper reason for needing to find lime.

She thought for a moment and sent Zhang Run a message: "Is this situation similar to the two mutants that Shen Jing released this afternoon? I wonder if those two mutants have anything they're afraid of?"

Huang Simiao leaned closer to Zhang Run's phone and glanced at it, then subtly pursed her lips.

To be honest, she always felt that Li Chu's text message contained a hint of blaming Shen Jing.

She suspected two teammates who had risked their lives for her in just one night—that's wrong! Huang Simiao clasped her hands together, squeezing her palms tightly, trying not to reveal her thoughts.

Fortunately, Zhang Run had already thought of it by this time!

He quickly typed a text message: "I'll have Zhou Lihao go find lime! I also have realgar in my backpack, which I originally planned to use to drive away snakes in the wild, but now I'll also use it to test the convoy."

It's uncertain how many of the remaining members of the convoy are still human.

Huang Simiao immediately thought of the White Snake and Xu Xian, "Shall we sprinkle realgar powder along the hotel lobby?"

Zhang Run had also thought of that, and he couldn't help but smile.

The atmosphere immediately became more relaxed.

Meanwhile, Zhou Lihao also received Zhang Run's request over the walkie-talkie.

He drove away temporarily, which did not attract much attention.

The people in the hotel lobby were drawn to Zhang Run's words: "There will be mosquitoes at night, right? We have insect repellent powder that we've developed. Everyone should bring it with them, and you're guaranteed to be free from mosquito bites."

"That's not very nice of you, Zhang Run! You didn't even take it out last night in the suburbs!" He said, taking the realgar powder and smelling it.

"Ptooey, it smells like garlic!"

"Now the lobby smells like this. Not even zombies will come near it, let alone mosquitoes!"

People on the second floor of the hotel heard the commotion and came down.

Zhang Run had been observing their expressions, trying to find the white snake... no, the lizard's true form among them.

Unfortunately, after looking around, no suspicious persons were found.

He shook his head at Huang Simiao and Li Chu.

Just as they were feeling disappointed, Wang Junyi, standing at the corner on the second floor, covered her nose with a grim expression.

Several men were still surrounding Wang Junyi, looking at her with concern: "Junyi, what's wrong?"

Unexpectedly, this "Wang Junyi" was indeed the mutant that Shen Jing had released.

Back then, in the shop, the group of people left shortly after chasing Shen Jing away. Shen Jing simply didn't want to get involved, but she never expected that this lizard would cause such a big problem.

Luring so many survivors to a hotel, let alone just wanting to hold a simple banquet, no one would believe it!

Zhang Run quickly noticed that something was wrong on the second floor.

He turned and stared at the stairs, secretly gesturing to Li Chu and Huang Simiao with his hand behind his back.

It means: The second floor is dangerous.

After understanding Zhang Run's meaning, Li Chu and Huang Simiao subconsciously turned their heads to look elsewhere. Although they really wanted to look up at the second floor, just to know what that mutant looked like.

However, they never doubted the danger Zhang Run mentioned.

When humans enter a lizard's territory, or when the lizards feel threatened, they will bite the nearest human.

Now make sure the survivors in the lobby are not lizards.

That leaves only a few people on the second floor.

It's unclear which of them... was the mutant that summoned them to the hotel!

Zhang Run knew that lizards had very keen eyesight and hearing, so he didn't greet the two people behind him again.

He now faced two choices: one was to eliminate the lizard and seize control of the hotel; the other was to leave quickly, otherwise, there was no guarantee what the lizard might do to them.

To reiterate, the lizards couldn't have brought them here just for a simple party!

Wang Junyi pulled her companion, who was about to go downstairs, aside and whispered, "I feel something's strange downstairs."

Upon hearing her words, the group all stopped in their tracks.

After driving Shen Jing away, they left the shop not long after. Throughout the journey, Wang Junyi relied on her intuition to help them overcome many crises.

Now, after hearing her words, they all looked downstairs with suspicion.

There were many familiar faces in the lobby downstairs, including the base commander's right-hand men. What kind of danger could there be?

Could it be zombies? But the area around the hotel is quite quiet. However, upon closer inspection, my heart skipped a beat. Is it too quiet...? It's so late at night; even zombies would be asleep!

Wang Junyi took a step back in fear, as if she was enduring something. "Actually, I've awakened a superpower... I'm sorry, I kept it a secret from everyone before. But I was afraid that if I told you, everyone would treat me like an alien, so I didn't say anything."

For the young survivors, awakening superpowers is an incredibly cool thing.

Only the Huang and He families in the base have superpowered individuals.

Hmph, even awakening superpowers comes with special privileges?

Therefore, the people in the base have mixed feelings about people with superpowers.

However, when they arrived at the hotel lobby, they were met by many survivors, many of whom had inexplicably awakened in the evening.

If Wang Junyi had told them about it during the day, they would have been driven mad with jealousy.

"I thought you were going to say something else? Awakening superpowers is a good thing."

"By the way, what superpower did you awaken?"

Wang Junyi glanced downstairs, then turned away in fear.

She whispered to the group, "I can sense danger, and I can also see through the disguises of mutants."

When she said she sensed danger, no one was surprised.

But seeing through the mutants is still a matter of disguise...

When the few people who thought they had figured it out looked down at the familiar faces below, they suddenly felt a chill run down their spines.

She couldn't possibly mean that there are mutants downstairs, could she?!
