Chapter 22 is in chaos.

Shen Jing planned to take action in the middle of the night when there were fewer people around.

So I fell asleep on the sofa again, clutching a blanket.

In her half-asleep state, she seemed to hear a very rhythmic knocking sound.

"Knock knock knock, knock knock knock".

It sounds fairly hypnotic.

Shen Jing didn't want to pay any attention and continued to sleep with her head covered.

The most important thing is to get enough rest, and then just wait.

Once night falls, it's the perfect time for night owls to come out.

Actually, it's quite lively outside the window; some residents have put up banners and hung them on their balconies.

"Does anyone have fever reducers? I'll pay a lot of money!"

Anyone want to team up to go grocery shopping?

Does anyone have a cell phone signal?

Shen Jing drew the curtains, blocking out the spying of the drones outside.

Although she knew that these drones would soon malfunction and crash due to the wind and snow.

She has too many secrets.

There can't be even the slightest risk of leakage!

Vassi has emerged from the space and is now moving around normally inside the house.

It adapted very quickly.

They use cat litter just like Shen Jing, so it's quite clean and tidy.

10 PM.

Shen Jing heard the rhythmic knocking on the door again.

She remembered who it was, "It really is you."

Shen Jing opened the door and saw Gu Yan, who usually tapped the table like this when he was thinking.

But for some reason, he stood in front of her door in the freezing cold, staring blankly: "Is it you during the day too?"

Gu Yan was wearing a black hooded down jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt.

His demeanor was so aloof and distant, but now, seeing him dressed so casually, he doesn't seem so unapproachable anymore.

Gu Yan was carrying a supermarket bag. "Yeah, I brought it for you to replenish your supplies."

Shen Jing did not answer.

He took two steps closer, then stopped in front of Shen Jing.

Shen Jing unconsciously leaned back.

Gu Yan chuckled, "You're such a coward."

Upon hearing this, Shen Jing glared at him defiantly.

She was simply strategically trying to keep her distance from the villainous boss.

How am I a coward?

She was only distracted for a moment when Gu Yan's cool fingertips reached out in front of her, making Shen Jing's hair stand on end.

She lowered her eyes and stared at those pale, thin, and fair hands.

Many memories of his past life with him flashed through my mind that I had never had before.

But those memories are like film that disappears once it's been exposed.

Before I could catch it, it was gone.

She stiffly raised her head and met Gu Yan's gaze.

But the restraint and rage in Gu Yan's eyes vanished the moment she looked up.

Shen Jing only saw a trace of red mark left at the corner of his eye.

Gu Yan reminded her, "It's best to wait a couple more days before going out."

After saying that, he handed the bag to her.

Shen Jing looked at him, but still didn't answer.

"You sent a large bag of supplies last time, and now we're even."

"You really don't dare to take it?"

Shen Jing took a deep breath. "This is really the last time. Don't send anything again!"

The bag was quite heavy; she swayed a bit after taking it.

I casually put the bag in the living room.

Shen Jing then closed the door.

This time he brought noodles, fever reducers, and a bag of rice.

Rice? No wonder it's so heavy.

Shen Jing placed the supplies one by one in the space, placing them together with the ones delivered last time.

The supplies she bought were enough for her to live on for a lifetime.

As for Gu Yan's food, she was afraid it would cause indigestion!

Shen Jing patted Vassi's head and took out scallion oil chicken, stir-fried pork liver and garlic ribs from her space.

She and Vasily worked together to complete the "Clean Plate" operation.

After finishing eating, clean up by packing all the trash together and putting it in the large garbage disposal unit in the space.

The snow outside was still howling in the fierce wind.

So far, the authorities have only released one statement: they will take the needy households away as soon as possible.

The specific time and location are unknown.

People on the second floor and above were also in a state of panic, as no one knew how the snow had gotten outside their windows!

I can't get help by phone! What should I do?

The residents could only curse the awful weather as they packed up their belongings and moved out.

But how many empty rooms are there in high-rise buildings?

Moreover, by now, anyone with a brain can see that the situation regarding the natural disaster has reached a point that is far from optimistic!

Has anyone ever seen snow fall as high as a layer in such a short time?!

It seems the officials haven't quite grasped the situation yet, as the neighbors quickly stopped their unconditional relief efforts, and rescue seemed a long way off.

So the turmoil that Shen Jing had anticipated soon occurred!

Residents on the fourth floor and above are getting fed up. The passageways are being occupied by people from the third floor and below, and they are being stared at by hungry wolves as they come and go.

Some people, hoping to take advantage of the situation, deliberately tried to gain sympathy in front of single women's houses.

If the people inside open the door, they will not only face a group of thugs, but may also have their house robbed and be kicked out of their homes.

Paying to rent a place?

Now a bag of bread is being sold at exorbitant prices.

Ever since a family took in someone for money, only to be kicked out as a result.

There will never be another such "great philanthropist" again!

These were all revealed by Li Fenghua while chatting with people in the hallway. She was shrewd and never took in outsiders.

But she usually makes pickled vegetables.

Now, a small bowl of vegetables is enough for her to earn a month's salary, and she gets more information as a result.

Shen Jing took a bag of sunflower seeds and sat by the door listening.

Suddenly, there was another knock on her door, and she was surprised that Li Fenghua hadn't given her any advance warning.
