Chapter 7: Let's start by buying a "small goal"

After selling the villa.

Shen Jing stopped caring when Shen Hai would send the jade.

Anyway, she never intended to sell the villa to them; she just wanted to swindle them to see if they had any money left.

Moreover, they live on the second floor of the same building, so "selling" the villa to them wouldn't make much sense.

She wanted more cash than jade.

However, she needed to find time to get her hands on the jade! She felt that this thing couldn't fall into Shen Ting's hands.

Shen Jing twisted her stiff neck and made a mental note of what she was thinking.

She is currently driving to Zhongshan Road North Street.

Before her parents' car accident, the private restaurant where they often took her to eat was on this street.

This restaurant usually caters mostly to regular customers.

I just pushed the door open and entered.

The rich aroma instantly evoked memories for her.

Shen Jing suddenly felt a lump in her throat; after experiencing the apocalypse, she had too many scars in her heart.

She thought she had long since become numb.

But at this moment, she felt extremely uncomfortable!

Her mother doesn't know how to cook, and she doesn't require Shen Jing to learn to cook either, so she often takes her out to find food.

She frequents this shop the most; she's very familiar with its lively atmosphere.

Even though more than ten years have passed!

Shen Jing finally faced the issue head-on.

The regrets and pain she deliberately tried to ignore...

Why?

Why wasn't I reborn before my parents' car accident?!

Seeing her lost in thought, the shop owner, Sister Chen, handed her a cup of hot tea: "Miss Chen?"

Sister Chen wasn't sure if she had mistaken someone for someone else. Although the Shen couple hadn't visited for a while, she remembered that their daughter was quite innocent and lively, like a little princess who had been pampered since childhood.

Shen Jing's appearance hadn't changed much.

But her temperament was completely different.

"What happened?" Sister Chen asked Shen Jing with concern.

Shen Jing's eyes welled up with tears from the steam of the tea. She turned her face away from Sister Chen and said in a hoarse voice, "The company wants to improve employee benefits and needs to make 5,000 lunch boxes every day. Is that possible?"

"About 5,000 servings per day?"

“Hmm, here’s a deposit of 1 million. I need you to make 100,000 meals for me in the next 18 days.” Shen Jing picked up the menu from the store and continued, “For example, the poached chicken, roast goose, honey-glazed char siu, garlic ribs, wonton noodles, rice noodle rolls, and beef offal listed above can be divided into one meat and one vegetable dish. Noodles, dim sum, and braised meat, which are individually packaged, also count as one dish.”

"Only 18 days?"

Ms. Chen is currently very worried about money because she can't raise enough for her son's surgery. She's so anxious she's about to lose her mind. Her family-run restaurant has always relied on regular customers and has a good reputation, but her son is definitely more important than her personal feelings!

The current large orders are something Sister Chen simply cannot refuse.

Shen Jing took out her phone and transferred the deposit to Sister Chen. She stretched out her hand to show Sister Chen the transfer record.

Ms. Chen, who was sitting opposite her, was stunned by her actions: "Then... then when should we pick up the food?"

"I come to pick it up every day."

"What are your requirements regarding the dishes?" Sister Chen asked excitedly after seeing the payment notification. "Don't underestimate our small shop, I can guarantee that the quality and quantity of the food will be fine!"

Shen Jing was certainly aware of the situation at this shop, but she still reminded Sister Chen, "You can reimburse me for the cost of hiring help. The taste can be similar to usual, but the ingredients must be fresh."

After she finished speaking, she handed the printed menu to Sister Chen.

Shandong cuisine, Sichuan cuisine, Cantonese cuisine, Jiangsu cuisine, Fujian cuisine, Zhejiang cuisine, Hunan cuisine, and Anhui cuisine have all compiled different menus, including stir-fried, braised, stewed, fried, stewed, simmered, steamed, roasted, smoked and dried, as well as cold dishes. In addition to these, there are also different kinds of breakfast, such as steamed buns, mantou, dumplings, porridge, noodles, etc.

After receiving the package, Sister Chen hurriedly went to the kitchen to have someone prepare the ingredients and arrange helpers as soon as possible!

Shen Jing shook her head and chuckled as she watched her energetic demeanor.

This is the only place she can find her memories of her parents.

How pathetic.

Shen Jing took out her notebook from her bag and crossed out the "cooked food" section in the memo app.

With a buzzing sound.

Her phone vibrated as soon as she placed it on the table.

It turns out the package I ordered from JD.com has arrived at the warehouse.

JD.com's logistics are indeed fast.

She searched for stores by category and then went in to make purchases, ensuring she bought everything she needed for daily life, including clothing, food, housing, and transportation. She selected several reputable large stores in categories such as sports and outdoor products, personal care, maternity and baby products, snacks, tea and wine, imported food, fresh fruits and vegetables, large appliances, small appliances, auto parts, home care, and pharmaceuticals and health products, and cleared out their entire inventory.

Customer service had to confirm with her repeatedly.

Shen Jing insisted that she had not placed the wrong order, and some shops even called her later to say: "Dear, it's back in stock!"

To save herself the trouble, she negotiated with the store manager and purchased the goods directly via bank transfer at three times the price of all other orders.

One advantage of online retail is that it's convenient for Shen Jing to operate in her spare time; once she sees something she likes, she can buy it with just one click.

However, her main investment focus is still on physical wholesale.

After leaving the private restaurant, Shen Jing pulled out her father's contact list and started making phone calls: "Uncle Zhou, I'm planning to open a supermarket and need to purchase 100 million yuan worth of grain and oil first."

"What? A hundred million for grain and oil? Don't joke with your uncle like that." Zhou Quan was still eating when he heard Shen Jing's words and spat out his soup. "Opening a supermarket is not as simple as you think."

"You know my dad is planning to open an experiential supermarket. Did he contact you before to place an order?"
