Chapter 53 The Damned

This was the second time that An Tingyu entered the Canwang Mansion. The first time she came uninvited because she wanted to know the answer, but she didn't expect that she would be forced to come the second time.

"Come and change the medicine for me." Mo Youcan said lightly while sitting in the chaise longue.

An Tingyu dropped the scarf and hat on her head, then raised her eyebrows lazily at him, her rejection obvious, "I've already returned to the Canwang Mansion, I don't think you will die."

So you can change it or not.

Not running away doesn't mean she will submit to everything. Regardless of Mo Youcan's purpose, if he hadn't saved her life first, she would have wanted to abandon him at the waterfall.

Looking at her stunning face, Mo Youcan curled his lips and said, "Is it really okay to just leave that face alone?"

After falling off the cliff, the water from the waterfall washed away the fake birthmark on her face. Without paint, An Tingyu did not paint the birthmark again. But now that she is back, she doesn't seem to have any intention of painting again. Even the scarf hat was something he asked her to wear.

An Tingyu raised her lips sarcastically and said indifferently: "Even if I repaint it, won't you know my true face? Or do you want me to be like a monkey in front of you?"

"I heard that Jing Aotian has been to that place. Do you have anything to say?" Mo Youcan said, ignoring her words.

An Tingyu snorted coldly, "Mo Youcan, your 'rumors' are ridiculous, right? If it weren't for your people, who would go to that place? No, who would dare to go there?"

There was only one entrance to the cliff, and that was next to the Yuyan Kingdom's military camp. Only those who had been to the Yuyan army camp would know about it. But Mo Youcan told her that he had heard about it? Did he think she was stupid?

She knew without even thinking that Jing Aotian and the others knew the entrance. It must have been Mo Youcan's arrangement. But this man was really hard to understand. He could have just sent a piece of paper or something, and Jing Aotian would know that she was still alive, but he didn't do that. Instead, he told Jing Aotian in a roundabout way. She really couldn't understand this.

"But he still went there. You said he couldn't find you. Would he be very anxious?" Mo Youcan kept staring at her, as if he wanted to see something on her face, but apart from indifference, she was still indifferent, as if being in the enemy territory was like eating at home for her, without any discomfort.

"I know Jing Aotian is no fool. Even if he overlooked some important issues due to a momentary rush, I believe he will soon discover them. He is Jing Aotian, the most feared king of the Dragon Flame Nation. Isn't it because you are afraid of a head-on confrontation with him that you repeatedly resort to insidious tactics?"

Mo Youcan withdrew his gaze, and then poured a cup of tea for each other, speaking like close friends, gentle words and indifferent tones, but the words he spoke were extremely cold. "It's a pity, really. He escaped death several times. I thought his leg was broken, but I didn't expect you to save him. Sometimes I think you deserve to die, because you disrupted my plan."

An Tingyu picked up the teacup, sipped it carefully, and then said lightly after putting the cup down: "That only shows that you are an incompetent person, who can only use some conspiracy and trickery. You don't have the style of a great general. You are just some scoundrel, and it is difficult for you to achieve great things."

When two armies engage in battle, strategy and cunning are crucial. Attacking the general can render the enemy leaderless, making it the best strategy. However, she simply cannot bear to see the man's arrogance. So, asking her to praise him? That's impossible. Moreover, she appreciates fair competition more than conspiracy.

Mo Youcan chuckled and said nothing, not angry at An Tingyu's words.

"Your Majesty, Miss Cousin is here!" Suddenly, a voice came from the guard outside the door. Mo Youcan glanced at An Tingyu. Suddenly, a hint of evil charm appeared at the corner of his beautiful lips. He smiled faintly and said, "Let her in."

An Tingyu turned her back to the door and did not look back. She was not interested in this so-called cousin, but soon she found out that she was wrong, because this cousin was none other than An Rongxin who had fled to Yuyan Country. In order to hide her identity, she was called cousin. The moment she saw An Rongxin, the doubts in An Tingyu's heart were resolved.

"Oh, isn't this my great sister? Why is she here in Yuyan Country?" An Rongxin sarcastically said as she entered the room.

An Tingyu looked at her, her beautiful eyes flashing cold, but soon submerged in her dark pupils. "I was wondering why Mo Youcan knew I was capable of fighting. It seems you told him."

When An Tianyu became the current An Tingyu, when she met An Rongxin for the first time, she showed off her skills in front of An Rongxin. She felt strange when Mo Youcan said that her martial arts were good, but she didn't expect that it was this Bai Lianbai who was causing trouble. Suddenly, she felt a little regretful and wondered why she didn't let this woman stay in Yihongyuan for the rest of her life.

"So what?" An Rongxin raised her head proudly, her eyes full of pride. Now An Tingyu was right in front of her. As long as she could not leave this mansion, she would be able to avenge her past grudges soon.

"Mo Youcan, if I kill her, will you feel bad?" An Tingyu ignored her and spoke directly to Mo Youcan. The latter raised an eyebrow lazily and glanced at An Rongxin. "A broken flower, a broken willow, do you think I would feel sorry? If you agree to marry me, the women in the palace will be yours to control. You can kill them or keep them as you please."

"Should I say that you are generous? Or should I say that An Rongxin is pitiful?" An Tingyu smiled coldly.

Saying he wanted to kill An Rongxin was just to test how important Mo Youcan was to An Rongxin. If possible, he might be able to make use of him, but unfortunately, he was just a useless chess piece, not even worth using.

"You..." Hearing this, An Rong was so angry that she felt like smoke was coming out of her head. "Your Majesty, are you going to pull the plank out of the bridge? You promised me that."

Mo Youcan crossed his arms and said indifferently, "I did promise you a safe place to live, but it seems I never promised to protect your life or death."

"You guys..." An Rong gritted her teeth, snorted coldly, and left.

Mo Youcan looked at the maddened figure, then turned to look at An Tingyu, "Are you satisfied now? You, An Tingyu, are the first captive to become the master of the house."

"Then I have to thank you, Mo Youcan, for your ruthlessness. If it weren't for you, she wouldn't be so pitiful."

"I say, could you please stop calling me by my name? This is the Canwang Palace. If you address me disrespectfully, you will suffer the consequences sooner or later."

"The Crippled Prince?" An Tingyu gave a fake smile, then lowered the curve of her lips. "Have you done anything worthy of my respect? If not, it's not certain who is superior and who is inferior!"
