Chapter 43 Spend Time Together

Chapter 43 Spend Time Together

Tang Ximian curled up in the soft quilt, his nose twitched, and he suddenly opened his sleepy eyes - a fresh and sweet fragrance was coming in from the crack in the door, making his stomach rumble.

When Si Yankai pushed the door open and walked in, he was holding a bowl of steaming seafood porridge in his hand. Shrimp and scallops floated on the thick rice paste, garnished with green chopped green onions.

Tang Ximian sat up almost reflexively, the quilt sliding to her waist, revealing the ambiguous red mark on her collarbone.

"It smells so good!" His eyes lit up, like a kitten smelling a can of cat food.

Si Yankai chuckled, put the bowl of porridge on the bedside table, and reached out to touch his forehead.

"Why didn't you pay attention to me when I asked you to get up just now?" He rubbed his thumb across Tang Ximian's slightly swollen lower lip, his voice hoarse with satisfaction.

"I don't want to think about it, and who is to blame for this?"

Tang Ximian glared at him, a faint red tinge at the corners of his eyes. "Who was it that refused to stop last night no matter what I said?"

"Blame me, blame me."

Si Yankai readily admitted his mistake, and gently combed his messy hair that had curled up from sleeping with his fingertips. "Have some porridge first, okay? Don't starve yourself."

Tang Ximian snorted, but took the spoon obediently.

The porridge was cooked to perfection, the rice grains were soft, and the sweetness of the seafood melted on his tongue. He squinted his eyes in satisfaction.

Halfway through eating, he suddenly looked up as if remembering something: "Have you eaten yet?"

"I've already eaten. Take your time and eat more."

Si Yankai sat on the edge of the bed, his phone screen lit up, checking nearby attractions. "I wanted you to rest for another day..."

"I want to go out!" Tang Ximian immediately put down the empty bowl, lifted the quilt and was about to get out of bed, but his legs went weak and he almost fell down.

Si Yankai quickly grabbed his waist, placed his palm on his lower back and gently massaged it: "Slow down."

"..." Tang Ximian's ears turned red and he gritted his teeth, "Si, Yan, Kai!"

Half an hour later, Tang Ximian changed his clothes and stood in front of the mirror. The light-colored windbreaker made his figure look slender and youthful.

Si Yankai frowned: "It will be cold."

"There is floor heating!" Tang Ximian protested, but lowered her head when the other party picked up the cashmere scarf.

Si Yankai chuckled, tied his scarf for him, and stole a kiss.

The streets were crowded with people, and they were strolling leisurely with a cup of hot milk tea in hand, like ordinary couples.

Si Yankai's hands were always on Tang Ximian's waist, separating her from the crowded crowd.

"There are too many people."

Si Yankai frowned and led him into a secluded alley.

The cobblestone road winds forward, with scattered stalls gradually appearing on both sides.

Tang Ximian's eyes lit up, and he approached a stall selling antiques. Si Yankai followed him, his eyes gently following his excited back.

Until Tang Ximian stopped in front of an inconspicuous stall and carefully picked up a pair of cufflinks.

Two deep blue gems are embedded in the dark silver base. When the light flows, nebula-like patterns appear inside the gems.

"Like it?" Si Yankai asked.

Tang Ximian nodded, his fingertips stroking the cool surface of the gem.

"Madam, how much does this cost?" Si Yankai asked in English.

The stall owner - a silver-haired old man wearing reading glasses - put down his phone and made a "five" gesture.

"Fifty thousand?" Tang Ximian asked tentatively.

"Can it... be cheaper? Forty-nine thousand?" Tang Ximian blinked and imitated the tourists bargaining next to him.

The stall owner and Si Yankai laughed at the same time.

"That's not how bargaining works here." Si Yankai pinched the back of his neck.

The old man pushed up his glasses and suddenly spoke in fluent Chinese: "However, since you know the value of the goods, I'll give you 30,000."

Tang Ximian was stunned, and whispered in Si Yankai's ear: "Will he cheat me? Is this a high-end imitation?"

"You kid!" the old man blew his beard and glared, "Forget it if you don't want it!"

"Yes, yes, yes!" Tang Ximian quickly scanned the code to pay and put the cufflinks into his pocket like a treasure.

As he left, he couldn't help but glance back. The old man had already reclined in his rocking chair, humming a tune and scrolling through Tik Tok videos, as if the conversation had never happened.

As the sun sets, the shadows of the two people become very long.

Tang Ximian held Si Yankai's hand and walked around the whole street.
