Chapter 71 Spend Time Together

Chapter 71 Spend Time Together

The old locust tree in front of the dormitory building has a few drops of melted snow hanging on its bare branches.

The air was a little cold and a little damp, with a hint of earthy smell.

Tang Ximian dragged his nearly falling apart suitcase, the wheels making a piercing noise as they rolled over the remaining ice. His eyelids drooped with fatigue, and when he looked up, he felt as if he were frozen in place.

Si Yankai was leaning against the main entrance to their dormitory building. He wasn't dressed like a ball, just a crisp dark grey coat, and wrapped loosely around his neck was the crooked scarf Tang Ximian had knitted last year.

He lowered his head to look at his phone, occasionally swiping his fingers, with such seriousness, as if he was calculating his "return on investment" as usual.

Tang Ximian grinned, ignored the box, jumped up the stairs in a few steps, and walked straight to Si Yankai with a cold air.

Si Yankai sensed some movement and raised his eyes. His usually calm eyes suddenly lit up, and the corners of his mouth curled up.

"Hey, busy man," Tang Ximian panted, reached out and took off the small white earphone on Si Yankai's left ear, shaking it in his hand, "Are you busy working right after school starts?" He deliberately moved closer and sprayed his hot air on Si Yankai's ears.

Si Yankai didn't move, just looked at him and smiled, and didn't try to grab the headphones.

He raised his hand, his movements were extremely natural. Instead of taking back the earphones, he gently pinched the one in Tang Ximian's hand and put it back into his ears steadily.

I ran my fingertips across my ear and it felt a little itchy.

"Just a little bit, it's all done." Si Yankai's voice was not loud, with a hint of coldness, but it clearly penetrated into Tang Ximian's ears.

Almost at the same time, a gentle and familiar tune came out of the headphones:

Can I go where you go

Can we always be this close

Taylor Swift's "Lover".

Tang Ximian was stunned for a moment, then his eyes curved into crescents and he smiled silently.

He knew that this guy's thoughts were hidden in these little actions.

Campus life became lively again. The two of them were like two streams flowing back into the river, and the days flowed on again.

The large classroom was crowded with people.

The teacher's voice was buzzing on the podium.

Si Yankai sat upright, his fingers moving quickly on the pages of the book and notebook, his brows furrowed and relaxed, completely immersed in his own world, as if the hustle and bustle around him had nothing to do with him.

At the same time, in the studio in the art building that was filled with the smell of paint, sunlight lazily poured in through the large windows.

Tang Ximian was wearing his colorful overalls with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, "fighting" with a huge canvas.

He stepped back and squinted his eyes, then pounced forward suddenly, dipping his brush in large clumps of paint and splashing it up recklessly, even getting some on his face.

On a few scattered papers in the corner, there was a drawing of Si Yankai's profile. The lines were very smooth, capturing his concentration.

The cafeteria was crowded and noisy at noon.

Si Yankai looked at the mountain of meat and the few pitiful vegetable leaves on Tang Ximian's plate, and his brows frowned habitually.

"You..." He tapped the table with his fingers, as if pointing out a vast expanse of land, "It's all fried. Where are the vitamins? Where's the dietary fiber? Eating like this..."

"I finally get to eat some 'junk food', so just let me have it."

Tang Ximian, with a chicken nugget in his mouth, protested incoherently, but his eyes were sparkling with a cunning glint.

With quick hands and eyes, he pushed all the soft broccoli on his plate next to Si Yankai's plate, which looked "nutritionally balanced". In a few seconds, he arranged them into a crooked but very obvious green "heart shape".

Si Yankai stared at the green heart, then looked at the guy opposite him who was smiling like a cat, and his seriousness instantly disappeared.

The corners of his mouth twitched, but he couldn't help but let out a helpless and indulgent smile.

Then, he silently took a piece of roasted chicken breast from his plate and placed it on top of Tang Ximian's fried chicken. His movements were quick and decisive, and his meaning was clear: Eat yours, ancestor.

When Tang Ximian was halfway through eating, he found two fresh lettuces and Si Yankai coughed.

"Just two."

For the sake of the lettuce, which isn't that bad.
