Episode 59 Spend 59

Episode 59 Spend 59

The dusk had long faded, and moonlight leaked in through the gaps in the blinds, casting mottled light and shadows on Si Yankai's laptop screen.

Tang Ximian rubbed his sleepy eyes and pushed open the door of the lounge. In the silence of the entire floor, the only sound was the tapping of the keyboard, like a fine rain.

Si Yankai turned around when he heard the voice, his amber eyes lit up in the darkness, and the action of closing the notebook was gentle and unique to him.

Tang Ximian approached as if attracted by a magnet, resting his knees lightly on both sides of the leather swivel chair. The moment the other party extended his hand, he naturally sat astride his legs.

Si Yankai's arm was wrapped around him with a familiar warmth, and his fingertips unconsciously stroked the hair on the back of his neck: "Are you awake? Are you hungry?"

"I'm almost as thin as a paper man because of starvation." Tang Ximian buried her face in his neck, her breath was filled with the scent of cedar mixed with coffee, and her sleepy nasal voice was also full of coquettishness.

"Are you done? Let's go eat."

Her eyelashes brushed across Si Yankai's hot skin, and in return he tightened his embrace.

"We're done, let's go."

Si Yankai took his hand, and the overlapping of their fingers looked like a vine that had grown for many years.

The metal switch made a crisp sound when the light was turned off, and darkness engulfed the entire office. Only the emergency lights in the corridor cast a warm yellow light band.

"Haven't you gotten enough sleep yet?" He tilted his head to look at the person wrapped in a blanket beside him, the top of his head rubbing against his chin.

Tang Ximian yawned and staggered forward unsteadily: "I don't know. I clearly slept for three hours..."

The last line was cut off by the sound of swallowing saliva. "I feel like my stomach is beating like a gong and beating drums, urging me to die. I can eat a whole Australian Wagyu beef right now."

Si Yankai suddenly stopped, lowered his eyes to look at those wet eyes, and his Adam's apple rolled: "You should eat something before going to sleep."

A feeling of self-blame spread across his brows, but was interrupted by Tang Ximian standing on tiptoe and biting his lower lip.

"If you keep dawdling, I'll bite you to recharge my energy." The threat of his fangs was softened by his smile. Tang Ximian pulled his hand and ran forward. Si Yankai looked at Tang Ximian and smiled gently.

As the elevator went down, Tang Ximian rubbed her face against Si Yankai's suit jacket.

The metal mirror reflected the overlapping shadows of the two people. He stretched out his hand to make rabbit ears and placed it on Si Yankai's head, then quickly retracted it when the other party raised his eyebrows.

The night wind outside the glass door blew in with a drizzle. Si Yankai naturally took off his suit and draped it over his shoulders. The scent of mint mixed with cedar enveloped him completely.

"What do you want to eat? Do you still want the roast duck you mentioned before going to bed?" Si Yankai took out the car keys and unconsciously rubbed the back of Tang Ximian's hand, which was wrinkled by the blanket.

Tang Ximian tilted her head and thought for a moment, then suddenly stood on tiptoe and pecked him on the lips: "No, let's try a different flavor. Let's go get hot pot. I want a beef broth, so spicy it's going to make you spit fire."

Before he could finish his words, he burst out laughing at the imagined scene.

Under the warm yellow light of the hot pot restaurant, the steaming heat blurred each other's outlines.

In the end, I didn’t order the beef fat soup, but ordered a shabu-shabu hotpot.

Half tomato soup base and one side mushroom soup base.

Tang Ximian still wanted to eat spicy food, so Si Yankai could only prepare a slightly spicy dipping sauce for him.

Tang Ximian nodded and said, "Okay, better than nothing." Then he excitedly raised the slotted spoon to scoop the tripe from the boiling red soup, with fine water droplets on his eyelashes. "Up and down, perfect!"

He picked up the tripe dipped in the sauce and stuffed it into Si Yankai's mouth. "How is it? Is it delicious?"

Si Yankai nodded and scooped out some of Tang Ximian’s favorite beef.

The rain had stopped when the show ended, and the moonlight shattered into shimmering silver foil in the puddles.

Tang Ximian burped and let Si Yankai lead him to the parking lot.

"What do you want to eat tomorrow? I'll bring you breakfast." Si Yankai parked the car in front of Tang Ximian's house, tapping his fingers lightly on the steering wheel.

Tang Ximian, holding the mint candy given by the hot pot restaurant, leaned over and placed a cool kiss on the corner of his mouth: "This is a sandwich you made yourself."

After saying that, he jumped out of the car and waved his hand, "Go back quickly! Be safe, and remember to send a message when you get home."

Watching the figure getting smaller and smaller, Si Yankai lowered his head and smiled. When he started the car, the curve of his mouth was still reflected in the rearview mirror.

The phone screen lit up, and a new message popped up: "Tonight's hot pot was amazing! Let's go for barbecue next time! Good night, I miss you."

He typed a reply with one hand, the light from the street lamp passed through the car window, casting long shadows on the asphalt road.
