Chapter 30: The perpetrator cannot be found
At nine o'clock in the evening, a police car drove towards Xinghai Shopping Mall with sirens blaring.
There was also an ambulance accompanying the vehicle, and the two vehicles were parked together downstairs of the shopping mall.
Police and medical staff rushed out of the car and hurried into the elevator following the mall manager who was waiting downstairs.
"Who called the police?" Zheng Yuanyang asked the mall manager.
Mall manager: “It was the staff of the rooftop club who reported the case. They said that their VIP guests had a fight. We called the police only when someone was injured.”
"Another fight?" Luo Luo, who was traveling with him, was shocked when he heard it.
Zheng Yuanyang frowned, "Again?"
"Three days ago, a fight broke out in a square. A group of people picked a fight with a university student, and it turned into a fight."
Luo Luo briefly recounted what happened in the previous few days.
"Maybe it's just a coincidence." Zheng Yuanyang relaxed his brows and didn't think much about it.
“Ding~”
The elevator reached the seventeenth floor and a group of people walked out.
The club's service staff were already waiting outside. When they saw the police appear, they immediately led their people straight to the right.
When the door of the box was pushed open, the police and medical staff who arrived were all stunned.
The room was filled with the smell of alcohol. Seven or eight drunk men were holding their legs and crying. Each of them had an injury to some extent.
Under the wine cabinet by the wall, a man covered in blood was lying in a pool of blood, and the wall behind him was splattered with blood.
He was unconscious and it was unknown whether he was still alive.
The room was in a mess, with broken bottles all over the floor and furniture scattered everywhere.
At first glance, the group thought they had come to a murder scene.
The medical staff rushed towards Li Dabiao and after a brief assessment, they saw that he still had vital signs and his chest was rising and falling weakly.
When his clothes were lifted, there was a large area of bruises and swelling on his abdomen, his limbs were placed in an abnormal position, blood was spitting out of his lips, and there was a big cut on the back of his head.
"Still breathing."
The medical staff quickly bandaged Li Dabiao with gauze, then lifted him onto a stretcher and quickly took him downstairs in the elevator.
The others were still drunk and their speech was unclear so no useful information could be obtained, so they had to be sent to the hospital for treatment.
Zheng Yuanyang and Luo Luo stayed behind and questioned the first witness.
"What is the specific situation?"
The witness was a waitress at the club, and she was a little nervous when she was called in for questioning.
"The guests who were carried away had been drinking since noon, and people were coming in and out of the private room intermittently. I came to deliver food around 6 o'clock, but I didn't care because I saw they were drunk."
"It was around 8pm when the cleaning lady was cleaning the corridor and smelled blood in the room. She was afraid something might have happened so she asked us to come and take a look."
"I knocked on the door but there was no response. I was afraid something was wrong so I forced the door open. That's when I saw this."
Luo Luo took out a notebook and pen to record the situation. "Did anyone leave the room between 8 and 9 o'clock?"
"No, I was standing outside the room and didn't see anyone leave. But..."
The waiter paused.
Zheng Yuanyang raised his chin slightly, "But what?"
"But at 8 o'clock, the club suddenly lost power, and it took about five minutes to restore power. During this time, I was called away to help. During these few minutes, I don't know if anyone left the private room."
Zheng Yuanyang looked around the room, crossed his arms and lowered his head to think, "Okay, I got it, you go ahead and do your work! Thank you."
Luo Luo closed the notebook and expressed his opinion.
"This was a premeditated murder! How could it be such a coincidence that the club just had a power outage?"
Zheng Yuanyang walked to where Li Dabiao fell without saying a word, put on gloves and picked up the wallet that fell under the sofa.
I opened the wallet and found that all the documents were inside, and all the cash was intact.
"The money isn't lost, is it possible someone is looking for revenge?" Zheng Yuanyang shook his wallet.
After exploring the private room, the two went to investigate the internal surveillance of the elevator and found that during the five minutes of the power outage, the elevator downstairs had been running all the time, and there were quite a few people riding the elevator.
There were so many people that they couldn't be sure who went down the stairs from the 17th floor.
The two found out the identities of these people and ordered everyone to find them to verify the situation, and at the same time check all the surveillance cameras in the mall during the same time period.
But no matter how they checked the surveillance videos or questioned the parties involved, they did not find any useful information. Even the parties involved did not know how the perpetrator entered the room. They only knew that the other party seemed to be a woman.
The investigation reached a deadlock, and Luo Luo and Zheng Yuanyang almost wanted to go bald.
It's really weird. No one saw how the perpetrator entered the room. It couldn't have been that he flew in through the window!
........
After letting out her anger, Lin Jin suddenly felt a lot better.
Although Li Dabiao was not killed, giving him a severe lesson could be considered as revenge.
Two days ago, she went to the hospital to see Li Dabiao. He was half-dead with broken limbs, broken ribs and subdural hematoma.
To put it simply, you have lost half your life, and it is a blessing that you are not dead.
But he survived, and his personality changed completely after waking up.
Whenever someone wearing a mask entered the ward, Li Dabiao would be so scared that he would curl up in his quilt and dare not look at anyone.
The beating traumatized him. Even when the police asked him whether he wanted to open a case, he denied it three times and said there was no need.
Lolo and her friends expressed their incomprehension about this, but they also respected the opinions of the parties involved.
On the day of the accident, Li Dabiao's face was swollen like a pig's head. Lolo didn't recognize him at all. It was only after going to the hospital to find out his identity.
Seeing Li Dabiao turn into such a scoundrel, Lolo was actually a little secretly happy.
There is always a mountain higher than another. He relied on his mental illness to act lawless and he deserves to be punished now.
When Lolo recognized Li Dabiao that day, the first person he thought of was Lin Jin.
Judging from the motive for the crime, Lin Jin, who had a physical fight with Li Dabiao a few days ago, is the most likely suspect.
But after investigation, she found that the two times did not match at all.
Lin Jin arrived at the square to set up a stall at eight o'clock that evening. The square was more than an hour's walk from the club, and it would take so long to do so.
Besides, Lin Jin was not in the surveillance video, so her suspicion was naturally eliminated.
This conclusion was exactly what Lin Jin wanted. She had no intention of killing anyone, she just wanted to beat him up.
After all, Minghui said that if she had the ability, she would really like to kill each of them with a club.
Those who do evil take advantage of the support of others to act with impunity, and they will have to pay the price for their evil deeds.
Lin Jin turned the baked starch sausage over, brushed it with chili powder and handed it to the customers in line in front of her.
The sausage griller was broken last time, so she spent a huge amount of money to buy a new one this time.
I have to say that the new sausage grill is better than the previous one. It is not only lightweight but also has more grooves. It can grill more than a dozen sausages at a time without occasional power outages.
Wang Yan, who was setting up a stall next to Lin Jin, looked at the sausage stall and moved her lips a few times. She wanted to talk to people several times but couldn't find the right opportunity.
"Ding-ling-ling~"
Just as Wang Yan decided to ask, Lin Jin's phone rang.
Lin Jin took out her cell phone, and when she saw the incoming call number, she quickly packed up her tools and left with the box.
Before she left, she remembered something and turned around to thank Wang Yan.
"Sister Yan, thank you for your help that day. I have something to do and I'll leave first."
Wang Yan waved her hands and felt relieved.
"Hey! Bye!"
