Chapter 23: It turns out that the spirit is resurrecting

Lin Jin finally walked out of the hospital.

She did not rush back to school, but went to the square near the school to set up a stall and sold the remaining half box of starch sausage before going back.

Seeing that her roommates were not in the dormitory, Lin Jin opened the closet and saw only a few pieces of clothing hanging inside. She suddenly remembered that she had taken all the starch sausages away last time.

After closing the cabinet door, she counted her income from the past few days, and when she saw that her savings had exceeded one thousand, she went to open her class schedule.

Tomorrow is Monday and I have a full schedule, so I can go out and stock up on Tuesday morning.

After writing down the plan on the calendar, Lin Jin cleaned the dormitory.

After cleaning up the garbage and mopping the floor, she replaced the empty water bucket.

Not long after they finished, Hua Yi and Jiang Le pushed the door open and came in, talking and laughing.

When they saw the clean and tidy dormitory, they stopped and looked at Lin Jin, who was washing on the balcony, in surprise.

"Lin Jin? Are you back so early today?"

Lin Jin poked her head out from the balcony and said, "You guys just mopped the floor when you came back. Be careful not to fall."

Hua Yi and Jiang Le responded, closed the door, carefully avoiding the water stains on the floor, walked to the table, changed into slippers, and placed the fried rice they brought back on the table of Lin Jin and Ming Sui.

"Have you eaten? Minghui asked us to get her some food. I didn't know Jiang Le also bought some, so there's an extra portion. If you haven't eaten yet, you can have it."

After washing her clothes, Lin Jin came in from the balcony, wiping her hands. Seeing a large box of delicious seafood fried rice on the table, she nodded and thanked him.

"Thank you. I haven't eaten yet. How much is it? I'll transfer it to you."

Hua Yi waved his hand and said, "No, why would you transfer this little money to me? At worst, you can just bring me food next time."

Lin Jin glanced at the box on Mingsui's desk and said thank you again.

He pulled the stool aside and sat down, tore open the packaging of the disposable chopsticks, scooped a large spoonful of rice and stuffed it into his mouth.

"Eh? Auntie, did you help change the water? I said we would change it together when we got back." Jiang Le took out a bottle of pickled mustard tuber from the cabinet and placed it on Auntie Lin's desk. "I have some pickled mustard tuber here. You can eat it with rice. It's delicious."

Lin Jin thanked him, "I just saw that there was no water so I changed it. Thank you for the pickled mustard. You're welcome."

"It's okay, you eat." Jiang Le crossed his arms, leaned on the ladder and asked, "Jin Jin, are you working part-time again today?"

She wanted to invite everyone to go out and play together on the weekend yesterday, but Lin Jin went out early in the morning, and even Mingsui said she had to go out for something.

The travel plan fell through, so she and Hua Yi just took a quick walk outside and then came back.

Lin Jin swallowed the rice in her mouth, opened her water cup and drank a sip of cold water, "Yes, I went to Kongping Mountain to work part-time today."

"Kongping Mountain?"

Hua Yi came out of the bathroom, changed into comfortable pajamas, and moved a stool to sit next to Lin Jin.

"I saw on the news that there was heavy fog in Kongping Mountain today. It seemed that many people were trapped in the mountain. You are not one of them, are you?"

Jiang Le was startled and looked at Hua Yi quickly, "It's foggy! How come I didn't know?"

Hua Yi flipped through a piece of push news on her phone. "It happened around 2pm. I just happened to see it."

Jiang Le took the phone and saw that the push notification not only contained news reports, but also a yellow warning issued at two o'clock in the afternoon.

There has been smog in Anshi recently, so everyone should be careful when going out.

"Auntie, is the smog serious?"

Lin Jin hesitated and said, "It's not serious, but there was a heavy fog in the forest, and I was trapped and lost."

"But not long after, soldiers found me and the smog dissipated. It was not as serious as people said on the Internet." She finished the last bite of food, wiped her mouth, and threw the lunch box into the trash can.

"hiss!"

The two hissed in shock.

Hua Yi: "Soldiers? Why are soldiers sent out? Don't police officers usually send out?"

Jiang Le: "Yes, how severe must the smog be for the military to be dispatched? Is there anyone injured? Or are there some criminals who have escaped?"

There was a hint of excitement in Jiang Le's voice. She usually loved reading military novels and watching TV dramas. When she heard about anything related to soldiers, some exciting scenes immediately emerged in her mind.

Therefore, instead of being shocked at all, she even vaguely regretted not going with Lin Jin.

Although many soldiers can be seen on the Internet, Jiang Le has hardly seen any in real life, except for the military training instructors. She really wants to watch the scenes of hostages being rescued like in TV dramas.

Seeing that Jiang Le suddenly became very excited because of something she thought of, Lin Jin reminded her cryptically, "Jiang Le, I don't know what you are thinking, but don't think it's fun at this dangerous moment."

"The news said there was no danger, but some members of the besieged crew were injured and sent to the hospital."

Jiang Le came back to his senses and scratched his head with an awkward smile, "I know, I was just thinking casually, I'm not that stupid, if I were in danger I would definitely ask for help."

"Of course, it would be best if there is no danger. Otherwise, I would kneel down and beg for mercy immediately."

"Pfft!" Hua Yi was amused. "Don't say that. What kind of danger could we encounter? China is so safe nowadays. Apart from some natural disasters, we rarely encounter bad guys."

"By the way, have you seen a very popular post on the Internet?"

"What post?"

The door was gently pushed open, and Minghui's tall figure appeared outside the door. She squeezed into the dormitory carrying two large bags of fruit and closed the door with her foot.

"Mingsui! You're back?" Jiang Le shouted excitedly.

Minghui put her things on the table, took off her coat and found a book to fan herself.

"Yeah! I ran away early. Lin Jin, you're back too? Hua Yi, you haven't told me what the post is about?"

Lin Jin: "My part-time job ended early, so I came back early too."

Hua Yi found a few comments from a video she had collected a long time ago.

"Look here, this is the video from when Laurin Mountain went viral. There are a few comments at the bottom. I think they are quite reasonable. Take a look."

The three of them moved closer and saw a video with hundreds of thousands of likes, and below it there were several comments that had tens of thousands of likes.

[Those who haven't been to Laolin Mountain don't need to go. We went there yesterday and found that the human-shaped stone is very different from what is online. I guess the government has taken action.]

[Only you would believe what a blogger said. Do you remember that a few years ago, a stone with a human face suddenly appeared. A few days after the stone was discovered, it was hit by a car that night.]

[Now, a few years later, the same human-shaped stone appeared again, but it was also destroyed by climbers. People say that the first time is a coincidence and the second time is accidental, but there are not so many coincidences in the world. ]

[I still stand by my statement. I feel that the earth is entering the stage of spiritual revival.]

Lin Jin stared at the last comment and her heart trembled.

Spiritual energy revival!!

"What is spiritual resuscitation?"

Jiang Le and Hua Yi were discussing the authenticity of the remarks in the video intensely. Ming Sui was also joining in the fun with some fried rice. When they suddenly heard Lin Jin's question, the three of them suddenly turned around and looked at her.

Lin Jin repeated it again, "What is spiritual energy revival?"

Ming Sui swallowed the fried rice in her mouth and said, "Lin Jin, don't you know what spiritual energy revival is?"

Lin Jin shook her head, "I'm sorry, I don't know, is this a very popular thing?"

Jiang Le explained thoughtfully.

"It's not very popular. It's an old joke that comes from online comments. For example, someone saw aliens in the sky, or a human-like object in the lightning, or someone saw ghosts when he was unconscious."

"These things that cannot be explained by science were jokingly called supernatural events. Over time, it evolved into saying that the earth's spiritual energy is about to revive."

Hua Yi took over the conversation, "In recent years, due to the popularity of immortal cultivation novels, people often fantasize about humans cultivating immortals after reading them. With this saying, some inexplicable remarks have also been accepted by everyone."

The doubts in Lin Jin's eyes gradually disappeared, and she whispered so low that only she could hear it, "So it's the revival of spiritual energy."
