Chapter 10 Chapter 10
010.
Song Chunman was stunned for a moment, then hesitated and said, "Is this... convenient for you?"
"The four-wheeled vehicle is moving fast, so it won't be a problem." Gu Tingzhou said, and got out of the vehicle and pulled open the back door. "Get in, I'll put the bike in the back later."
"Then I'll take you to the Friendship Hotel. Thank you for your help." Song Chunman no longer refused. If she really wanted to walk back, it would take half an hour.
She carried the child into the car, and quickly the man helped her put the bicycle away and returned to the driver's seat.
The little girl had never ridden in such a nice car before. After getting in, her dark eyes darted around and she couldn't help but say, "Uncle, your car is so beautiful."
As Gu Tingzhou started the car, he explained with a smile, "It's not mine, it's the army's car."
"That's uncle's car too." The little girl spoke in a baby voice, but the curiosity in her eyes never ceased.
Gu Tingzhou felt that what he said seemed to be correct. He adjusted the rearview mirror slightly and caught a glimpse of her staring down at something on the back seat, as if she wanted to take it but didn't dare.
That thing was a military green aluminum whistle, used by the troops for daily training, and it had a loud sound when blown.
Gu Tingzhou took in her expression and slowed down the car slightly, making the engine noise quieter. "That's a whistle. You can try blowing it. It works."
The little girl's eyes lit up instantly, and she looked up at her mother beside her. Song Chunman smiled and nodded.
She immediately grasped the whistle in her hand, then raised it to her lips, but she couldn't make any sound, and her fair little face turned red.
Gu Tingzhou raised the corner of his mouth almost imperceptibly, and suddenly freed a hand and gestured to the back seat with his mouth in a round shape, "You should blow like this."
The little girl understood, took a deep breath, pouted her lips and finally blew out a short "beep" sound, which scared herself and made her shiver, but she immediately burst into giggles.
Gu Tingzhou looked at her and smiled, feeling his heart lighten up. "This is for you. When you can't find your mother while playing, just blow it a few times."
Before the little girl could say anything, Song Chunman immediately said, "No, no, the child is ignorant, just play for a while."
"Take it." Gu Tingzhou said solemnly, "There are still troops, plenty."
Upon hearing this, Song Chunman secretly looked at the man in front of her.
His slender hands were on the steering wheel, his bony fingers rubbing gently as he turned. The army green jeep was steady and neat under his control. The dim light from the car shone on his face, making his profile look resolute and cold.
Her luck has really improved recently. Not only did she deal with the Sun and Song families, she also met a landlord who was willing to lower the rent and take the initiative to send them home and even gave them a whistle!
How could she bear to refuse? Of course she taught her child to say thank you!
While she was looking at him, Gu Tingzhou was also looking at her in the rearview mirror.
She was very beautiful, with eyebrows like delicate crescents and slightly drooping eyes. When she smiled, her eyes sparkled like fragments of light. Her nose was soft and flowing, with a slightly fleshy tip. Her lips were a natural, pink color, with a full and gentle curve.
Four years had passed since the incident, and he had no recollection of the blurry face. Although the woman in front of him felt familiar, he really couldn't remember what the woman who bullied him looked like. He only remembered that she was very beautiful.
I don’t know if it’s because he’s been too obsessed with finding that woman over the years or what, but now every pretty woman he sees feels familiar to him.
This feeling was not good, so he quickly looked away and slightly increased the speed of the car.
The distance was not far, and the four-wheeled vehicle drove fast, so it only took ten minutes to arrive.
Gu Tingzhou turned off the engine and was about to get out of the car when the little girl suddenly said, "Uncle, thank you for taking my mother and I home. Will I be able to see you again in the future?"
Gu Tingzhou was slightly startled. He thought that if nothing happened, they probably wouldn't see each other again. However, he wouldn't say that. He just smiled and said, "I think so."
After saying that, he looked at the woman and said, "The contact information is on the contract. If there is any problem with the house, you can contact me directly."
Song Chunman smiled and said thank you, then took the child out of the car. After watching the man drive away, she took the child into the guesthouse.
When they were going upstairs, her daughter suddenly looked up at her and said, "Mom, I like this uncle. Can you find a way to make him my dad?"
When Song Chunman heard this, she immediately choked.
She didn't expect that her daughter would say such words after only spending such a short time with Gu Tingzhou.
However, I heard from Sister Yang that he is still a group leader. Such an outstanding person should have been married a long time ago.
She pinched the child's cheek and smiled, "Uncle has his own life. You can't say this to others, otherwise Uncle will easily get into trouble."
Song Xiyue really thought so, but her mother didn't agree. She just pursed her lips and said "oh".
The mother and daughter returned to their room. Now that the house had been bought, she had to get a divorce and move in sooner rather than later, otherwise it would be very expensive to stay in a guesthouse.
After returning to her room and coaxing her child to sleep, she quickly wrote a divorce agreement, writing down everything she had and had not discussed with Sun Wenbin before.
She slept very soundly that night.
After finishing her morning shift the next day, she returned to the guesthouse to eat, then developed a few private photos of Song Yushan and Sun Wenbin, then took the agreement and photos to Sun's house to get the money.
When they saw her coming, Sun Wenbin and Zhang Cuihua looked particularly bad, as if they had not slept well for several nights in a row.
Sun Wenbin did not sleep well either. He received news from the welfare home that the child was sick yesterday and asked them when they would take the child away.
The child definitely couldn't be taken away at this time, so he spent the whole night yesterday at the welfare home looking after the child. But when he came back in the morning, his father had defecated in the bed again, so he was busy all morning again.
If they hadn't divorced yet, Song Chunman should have done this.
So now he was in a bad mood, gritting his teeth and staring at Song Chunman, "Do you have to chase me so closely? It's not like I won't give you the money."
Song Chunman didn't bother to respond and just threw the divorce agreement in front of him, "Sign it, give me the money, and I'll go get the divorce certificate this afternoon."
Sun Wenbin took the agreement and looked at it. It seemed to be fine, but his hands were shaking. "Song Chunman, have you really considered divorcing me these past two days? If you regret it now, it's not too late."
When Song Chunman heard this again, she immediately became furious and slapped him. "Are you annoying? I've said it so many times, Gulu, I want a divorce. You have to sign the agreement, or I'll call someone over to judge the matter!"
Another sudden slap made Sun Wenbin stagger two steps and his mind went blank for a moment.
Zhang Cuihua was so angry that she was about to explode. "Divorce, divorce now! How dare a woman like you hit your own man? We in the Sun family don't want a daughter-in-law like that!"
As he said that, he quickly took the pen and handed it to Sun Wenbin.
Sun Wenbin was a man, and his dignity as a man had never been trampled upon like this before. He immediately signed his name.
"Song Chunman, you'll regret this sooner or later!" He threw the agreement over to her and went into the house to get the remaining money. "Don't come begging me when the time comes."
He just didn't believe it. They had known each other for more than ten years and had been married for four years. Could she just let it go?
"Now, give me back the photos and the letter!" he yelled at the woman.
Song Chunman regretted not seeing the man's true face earlier, but there was no point in arguing. She put away the agreement and counted the money. It was indeed two thousand and eighty.
So, she threw the photo and letter at the man and said, "Meet at the Civil Affairs Office at 3 pm. Don't be late. I don't have much patience."
After saying that, she went straight back to the workshop. After work, she asked for leave from the workshop leader. When the time came, she got off work and went directly to the Civil Affairs Office of the Street Office.
When she arrived, she didn't see Sun Wenbin, but fortunately, the man appeared not long after.
She breathed a sigh of relief.
The two went to the divorce window and handed in their documents. The clerk at the window looked at the documents and then looked at the two of them and asked, "Divorce is a big deal. Have you thought it through?"
Song Chunman nodded readily, and Sun Wenbin took a deep breath before nodding, "Let's do it."
The clerk said nothing more after hearing this and quickly processed the procedures for them.
In just ten minutes, the freshly issued divorce certificate was in Song Chunman's hands.
